48F and mostly cloudy @ 12:00 ... but the sun is occasionally peaking through now and then. Back into the 30's for highs for the next couple of days and then into the high 40's/low 50's ... after that back down to 20's and 30's ...

Snow mostly melted at this point except where I piled it up with the loader.

Got one of the double 8' fluorescent fixtures mounted on the ceiling up in the shop the other day and started running conduit and wiring it yesterday. Hope to get that finished up today.

Akron Tractor called a little bit ago and said the pin for the lower lift arm on the 3PH was in, so I have to run over and pick that here in a little bit.

Wow. You guys have been busy. I’ve been busy helping my wife out, and dealing with our snow here. Things are pretty good, the weather has gotten warmer, enough to melt off the snow in many places.

I really have tried to cook, but my wife gets pretty agitated if I even try, it’s like I’m telling her that she isn’t doing something right? She is a good cook, so it’s not like I really have too. Maybe unconsciously, I don’t want to?

Pin picked up and installed ... now back in operation.

Four bucketloads of red oak brought up to the pile by the shop. Hadn't used all of the last I brought up, so I appear to be gaining.

Have to go inflate the tire on the Simplicity and move it, then move some 2 x 4's over to the barn from the garage.

55° and sunny. Cleaned pellet stove out with help. Tomorrow will bring more pellets from barn.

33ｰF and some spotty fog this morning, going up to 55ｰ today.

Wife took her brother's girlfriend and her oldest son (8, I think) to St. Louis Children's Hospital yesterday for surgery to repair a heart defect. 5 hours of surgery, and the boy came out fine. My Wife had surgery there when she was 6 to close a hole in her heart that she was born with, so she knew all about the procedure, and was there mostly to calm the boy's mother, who was a nervous wreck over it.

Thanks for the organ pic, Don (man, that just didn't sound right at all :laughing. Any idea who built it and when?

My son, Jeff had open heart surgery at Johns Hopkins at 4 years old for a hole he was born with, outcome was great, but the surgery and early recovery is a nightmare for the parents.

Ordered the instant pot off amazon. It痴 the new duo 6. 9-1 I think. Will be in stock tomorrow and could be here by Friday. Wife knows it痴 coming. She if the one with the prime account. Supposed to be a new one.

Moved 20 or so 2 x 4's over to the barn, along with a couple of 2 x 12's.

Cut up four junk 4 x 4's that had been drilled by carpenter bees into cribbing and brought those up to the shop. Burning the bad parts in the WBS.

Inflated the tire in the Simplicity and moved it up in front of the garage. Grabbed three chains out of its cart and brought those up here to the shop.

At that point my right hip was screaming so I headed up here to the shop where I'm enjoying a hot cup of coffee ... and the 86F temperature inside ...

It is a Hinners pipe organ, built in Perkin, Illinois In 1921.
Was purchased for $1250.
It was shipped by rail to Lincoln Texas and then brought to the Church 7 miles away.

In 2000 organ builder Friedemann Buschbeck, Germany, restored the 3 existing 8'ranks and added a principal 4' and an Octave 2' built by the Jehmlich Organ Company of Dresden, Germany. This was done so that the organ would have a classic disposition of 8', 4' and 2' stops. The front pipes were gilded with real gold leafs.

Next step is fertilizer and another discing.

Good evening all. 53F for the start, rain, and fog. Rain on and off all day, should continue to midnight or so. High temp of 58F, also current temp. Slow day activity-wise. Clean-up for cleaning lady and that is it.
