What good news that Buckeye went home.:thumbsup:
A much warmer 47 going to 64 on a sunny day.
I have a friend in Delaware, headed there Sunday, will have to ask him about the earthquake.

I've been plowing through lists and lists. Who to take a plant to, wine for how many?
Well, I remembered to get my dry cleaning so I'll have pants, excellent place to start
before heading North again visiting the rest of my family before Christmas. And the Christmas lights
are up outside, so there are a few lines crossed off.

Am looking forward to lunch with Toppop on Sunday at Don's Seafood and Chicken House.
Clearly Don must not be a steak fan...

Speaking of food, or something like it, I wonder if the leftover parts of Farmer's chickens are going into those dogbones with real chicken.
Drew, let me know if noon still suits.

Mid 50’s today, a few more nice days before Buppies’ blast hits late next week, frozen precipitation and all! Drove 200 mike round trip to look at a Camaro and thought it was a winner until at about 50 the differential started whining like a banshee. Still looking.

Weather channel just getting caught up to buppies.

I would like to get a classic car, but my car ins bill came today and reminded me why i wont.

Your place looks like a park. Hog wire around the perimeter is very good.

Thanks Don. We had a world class crop of goat weed 11 years ago.

Really looks nice. How did you know Uncle Willard from Nixon?

Yep, knew him very well. We first met in 1979 as volunteers at Rodeo Houston and both served on the Rodeo Board of Directors. I still do.

We are / were also members of Tejas Vaqueros. I miss him a lot. Best Lone Star guy I ever met!

Classic car insurance is cheap if you use a good regular provider, all mine have been insured through State Farm under the stated value policy. If you run historic tags in MD, your policy is even cheaper. My ‘67 Impala Super Sport cost me between $50 and $57/6 months for the six years I had it.

Good evening all. 46F this morning, partly cloudy (just high thin clouds), calm wind. Wind was light through mid afternoon before petering out, sky cleared off, and high temp was 72F. bike ride this morning, and wood splitting this afternoon. The old dead walnut is really tough to split :(

Good morning. Weather has changed back to wet stuff coming from over the Atlantic and those precious few dry days will soon be a distant memory.

... and wood splitting this afternoon. The old dead walnut is really tough to split :(
Good luck with that mostly, keep at it. Few things in life are as satisfying as finally winning over a piece of stubborn timber - even if that does mean splitting it with a chainsaw ;)

I had another go at my elm yesterday. Not sure if the last few days below freezing made the difference, or my belief in L4N's cool tip was another wood cutters placebo, either way it surrendered to become a pile of firewood in what seemed to be no time at all

Good Morning.

Temp is 31 and going to a high of 39. 60 % chance of rain showers/flurries. Wind SE 6 mph. It is going to be warm today.

I have absolutely nothing planned for today and that is a good thing.

Have a good day all.

28 right now...high in the upper 30's today.

No particular plans, so we'll take the day as it comes...

Good morning all, 29 this morning going to 51 with increasing clouds. Ended up grabbing a few things on the Christmas list for wife. Got nothing done in the shop but it will come about sometime or the other. Planning to take today as it comes. might get the tormek and sharpen the new set of wood chisels I bought a while back. Never used the tormek before so it might be fun. String trimming looks great guys.

Rswyan, Sweet work you turn out.

Bird, When I was a teen we were driving home from Norfork and dad saw a man combining peanuts. He stopped and asked the man for $5 worth and ended up with a burlap bag full. Dad added about 30 lbs before he finished them. :D

Have a great day. Ed

Poured first cup of coffee. 29° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 51° with sunny skies in afternoon. Little stiff from yesterdays tree trimming. Plan to get rest of them done today.
Buckeye, hope your recovery is going good.
Good Morning All.

There is/was member on TBN that sold Tormek sharpeners. Met him at a wood working show that was held in Detroit. But I cannot remember his name.

I think I'm going to send some of you some to do's from my lists. You guys must be really organized.

Good morning all. Headed downtown to see Christmas parade, maybe my neighbor will be driving one of the fire trucks, he's an engineer so he would normally drive.
then getting some wine as house presents for my trip and coming back to pack. Yes Toppop I'll be there at noon but am usually early.

Looks like I'm going to run into rain up North next week and maybe even come home in some white stuff. No fear in the Outback.
43 degrees going to 57 with rain showers coming in this afternoon.

Don, thanks for pics of peanuts. Yes, lots of foliage for small bean, peanuts being legumes.
My late wife was deathly allergic to tree nuts but just loved peanuts. Whole different item.

56 degrees this morning, going for a high of 77, is a bit surprising for this time of year. But it's supposed to change this coming week. I'm already on my 3rd cup of coffee.

My late wife was deathly allergic to tree nuts but just loved peanuts. Whole different item.

Yep, tree nuts and peanuts are entirely different. I've read of lots of people being allergic to peanuts, but don't recall hearing of anyone being allergic to tree nuts before. I can't say I'm surprised, though. So many people are allergic to different things.

27 going to 53....got down about 5 degrees lower than the forecast.

Drew, that doesn't look like any peanut hay I've ever seen...always dark brown after the peanuts are picked and the vines lay in the sun to dry. Maybe there's another type.

WeatherBug is claiming that the temp is currently 26F which doesn't seem right ...

Landline internet is currently down ... dunno what's up with that.

Got pivot tube welded on the 3PH frame ... by the time I finished, it was bound up pretty good. It will still turn ... but it requires beating on it with a hammer. Should free up and wear in once I get the hydraulics on it.

IMG_1266.JPG

Next is getting the 3PH frame welded onto the angle that carries the tines. Bit tricky as everything needs to be level and the index plate needs to be at 0 degrees.

Need to make a trip to HF today and pick up a few things. Also hope I can get in to get my hair cut.

   / Good morning!!!! #65,259
35 high of 53 today have jobs to look at hair cut and finally shower. Starting to smell bad and first change of bandage and look at damage inflicted. Pretty sore yesterday but that's to be expected

About 25 out this AM. Back home for another 10 days then heading out again. Been a crazy month.

Prayers for all, Buppies I hope you keep your spirits up and stay positive.

Got some tractor time in last night. The little B isn't running right. Step on the hydro and she stalls. Must be seat switch cleaning time.
Need to clear out some trees around my sat dish that took a hit while I was gone.

Hope all have a good day. Looks to be chilling down here for a while.
