Good morning!!!!

Good morning! 48˚ heading to 75˚ clear skies wind from the South switching to the North this evening but temps are on the rise. No freeze predicted for the next 10 months.

The only time Whipper really needs the POD is during a thunder storm. All the other times she stays within sight of us. So I'll make sure the POD is properly charged when thunder is predicted. They will be releasing an extended battery in the near future and I plan on getting it as soon as it comes out. Until it gets here she needs to practice wearing a collar. I wish I was quicker with the phone camera I could have caught Whipper nose to nose with a new curious calf and could have had a movie of a beerlifter.

Happy Anniversary Wngsprds.
(We were born married.)

Good Morning!!!! 54F @ 5:15AM. Sunshine and clouds mixed. High around 65F. Winds SE at 5 to 10 mph.

Don't know what's going on with the font, Mostly. First time I've posted from the iPad, so maybe there's a setting somewhere to make it send just ASCII characters. Be surprised if I can find it, though, as two engineering degrees don't seem to be enough to prepare me for such an ordeal.:confused2:

Perhaps you should have invested in a deep, deep freezer instead of the new splitter, Eric?

Happy belated birthday, David. May you continue to pile up solar mileage for a long, long time!

Hope your tummy troubles are behind you by now, Buppies. Oops, no pun intended.

Don, if it's an iPhone, you can access the camera button without unlocking the phone. Just swipe up from the bottom of the screen to display the button, poke it, and shoot. One of the nicest things about the SE is it's small enough to fit in a pants pocket, increasing the chances it'll be handy when a good shot presents itself.

My route down and back from Colfax was all over small roads and involved no major metropolitan areas, and not even any stops as there was plenty of old gas in the tank. That's a good thing, as newly passed taxes have prices up again, well over three bux a gallon. The trip wouldn't have been much fun in the truck, but it was perfect on the bike so maybe the two were conspiring to look after my mental health?

I did get back in time to verify that the leak is coming from the drain valve on the side of the fuel filter bowl, and the o-ring kit should take care of it. No word for if it shipped on Black Friday, so it may be late next week before it gets here. Plenty to do while I'm waiting, and plenty of food on the shelf and in the frig. Gonna miss fresh vegetables and fruit for a while, though. But good thing I stocked up on Costco pizza last week!

Heard back from a Facebook contact this morning on a used transmission part for the old bike. Should have some pictures soon, and hopefully it'll be on the way soon as well.

In the meantime it looks like we have some wet weather on the way for tomorrow and Monday, good time to catch up on some paperwork and keep the wood stove hot.

Thanks for the tip, been practicing my quick phone draw. I got it from pocket to shooting in 2.5 seconds!

27 right now...high in the upper 40's.

Maybe I'll get to that spout cleaning I've been putting off for two weeks!

The electronic muffs worked quite well...used a 9mm to test them. 9mm isn't the loudest gun I have, but other then .22LR, it's what I shoot most frequently. Should work well when running the tractor or mower too.

I believe I'd mentioned my truck was in the shop for scheduled maintenance and I'd rented a Corolla for the day. The job is taking longer then expected, so I swapped out the Corolla for another Tacoma so I can haul some diesel. That's a chore today too.

Happiest of Birthdays, David...and, of course, Happy Anniversary to our friends, the Wingsprds!

Roy, which electronic muffs did you get?

   / Good morning!!!! #64,945
The low this morning was 30*, yesterday's high was 55*. It was windy and overcast all day. Today is going to be sunny and more wind with the high in the upper 50's.

sodamo.. Happy birthday hope you see many more.

wngsprd .. Happy anniversary to you and your wife.

Helped the neighbor get the siding up on his deck. It's to keep the snow off of it. I had a small plumbing job that only took a 50 mile round trip to town to get done.

I'll see what today brings.

Hope everyone has a nice day.
CWB.

Roy, which electronic muffs did you get?

These:
Howard Leight by Honeywell Impact Pro Sound Amplification Electronic Shooting Earmuff, Black & Grey (R-:sick:2) - Hunting Earmuffs - Amazon.com

Based upon a recommendation in the "Today's Gun Time" thread.

There's a jack for a music player so you can listen to music when working. I'll probably only do this when mowing, and definitely not when shooting.
This is the MP3 player I bought...it's pretty nice for the price:
Amazon.com: MP3 Player, FecPecu Music Players Updated Version 8GB Hi-Fi Sound 35 Hours Playback , Portable Audio Player Build-in Speaker With Voice Recorder and FM Radio Expandable Up To 64GB (Black): Cell Phones & Accessories

Thanks Roy, I’ve been looking into upgrading my shooting muffs. I’m assuming I could connect it to my Galaxy phone, with a cable, and listen to iHeartRadio?

Good mornin, in for a warm up, another 50knot day today:/

Kyle, I always have a lot of leftover tomatoes in the fall and don't have the option of leaving them out even covered.

I bring them in and wrap each one in newspaper and put in the pantry. ( chilly @50°) a few days before I want to eat some I bring them to a window and unwrap.
I just ate the last two yesterday and I brought them in the 3rd week of sept.

Thanks for the tip Rick. Down here where Don and I live, we usually don't get a freeze until mid December. But this year we've already had a couple freezes and a bunch of close calls.

31 going to 63.

Happy Birthday, David. Sorry your Pilot doesn't like its new handle.

Kyle, congrats on your tire holding air. Maybe you got it this time. Try fried green tomatoes.

Today is our anniversary...39 years. We got married when we were 8 years old :).

Happy anniversary you two! How on earth did you keep your legos and marbles separated?

RNG, glad you've had some nice bike rides whilst your diesel is down. Also glad it isn't too expensive of a fix.

How much did black Friday reduce the splitter (or slitter for Eric's translation)?

Speaking of,,,,Eric, you need to let the grandson see you slitting that wood to give him stories to tell his grandchildren. Or, you could sail the wood over to L4N's place and slit it easily. :)

Unless wx changes significantly will be a quiet day.

Be safe

Chores all done....pretty nice day for November. Thought about doing some shooting, but I sweetened up my coffee (drinking it now) with a dollop of Crown Royal. No firearms after any alcohol!

that sure doesn't seem to stop my neighbors... sounds like WWIII at dinner time or dusk sometimes here

Got my Christmas lights set up at the end of the lane, solar powered twinkly lights and a Nativity creche with a lit star above.
I need to go out when it gets dark and make sure everything turns on.

Now to go chip some brush and make lots of noise.

... reduce the splitter (or slitter for Eric's translation)?

:ashamed: Oos, I will have to be more careful with my tying, most eople are ok with oor selling nowadays, but "taking the p" is a ste too far.

He's already seen enough examples of his grandad doing things the hard/stupid way, without him asking why I'm now filling the freezer with timber. :D

Missed a couple of days and took half an hour to catch up!
Happy birthday David, happy anniversary wngspred.
Drew, glad your trip went well.

My daughter wanted to do the traditional Thanksgiving dinner her mom had planned, Boy did she knock it out of the park! Everything was just like Lynn would have done it. We had some friends along with family, it was a tiresome but good day. But the empty chair was heartbreaking. Life goes on, I went with a friend to a big car show today that was sponsored b6 the State Pokice great turnout, pretty weather.
