31F and mostly cloudy @ 13:00 ... no appreciable snow overnight.

Got the hydraulic cylinder picked up yesterday for the rake. Also convinced him to go ahead and replace the angle iron that the tines mount to, the original KK crap was only 1/4" steel and easily bent ... going with 3/8" this time and 84" width vs. 72" on the original.

So I have to go pick up the steel for that ... along with some square tube for a cab on the B2910 ... :D

Got my ukulele in the mail a couple days ago.
Might be a steeper learning curve than anticipated. I have learned that my fingers are no where near nimble enough, but hopefully that will improve.
Trying to get my head around the charts is a challenge at this point. I do have hope. I learned to play the trumpet starting in grade school but haven’t touched one in likely 45-50 years. I challenged myself whether I still remembered the fingering for the scale - I DID. Gives me hope.

Don, we have non tipping mixer and never had a challenge with the dough hook. Probably about 5 years old. I believe it too was a refurb. We bought directly from the factory website.

 I started out on trumpet (cornet, actually) in grade school as well. While I don't have perfect pitch, I can always hear that low C (Bb) in my head, which gives me relative pitch. Even 42 years later, that tone is always there ... lurking just behind my tinnitus.

Wow what a lot of State Police out. Looks like everyone got called in for duty.

Randy, lovely pictures, she'll be with you tomorrow.

How on earth do people walk with bifocals? :confused2:

We look down a lot until we get used to them. When I first got them, I fell down a lot, tripping over anything and everything. I've been wearing glasses since age 2 and the past ten years with bifocals.

I started wearing cheaters when I turned 50. Somehow, my arms got too short!! I need them for reading, but the 1st time I wore them at home, I missed a step on the stairway, and ended up downstairs! Only bruised my pride, but scared me too.

Thanks for the well wishes guys. Had a great day today. Splurged and ate takeout Chinese today, stayed with veg dishes but the fat was high. Back to low fat vegan for thanksgiving.

Randy, Great pic, sure brings back memories of 40 years ago this month.

Pj, progressives don't bother me unless the noise pieces are bent and they are down on my noise to much then you can't see a thing.

Have a great night Ed

Good evening all. 36F, mostly sunny and light wind. High temp was 54F, wins from north and moderate and sky stayed mostly clear. Men's meeting this morning, followed by more leaf pickup, now officially done in time for Thanksgiving :). Bike ride in the morning, will be a wee nippy. Step daughter will join us for most of the day, we thought we would eat at the Lodge for Thanksgiving instead of cooking, too many leftovers  :confused2:
