Good morning!!!!

40 and drizzle going to only 43. Leaves are really falling these last 2 days...make a colorful ground until they turn gray and brown.

Stairway to Heaven...46 years old today.

Came out of the woods from hunting early yesterday morning so I could clean the chimney before the rain hit, which it did by 11am. Got the stove cleaned up, and started our first fire of the year. Rained and drizzled and was stuck in the 40s all day, so the fire felt good.

Forecast shows 24 for Friday night.

Still with you, Randy.

27F clear sky mid 40's for high.
Gave Mrs. wood furnace darn good old fashion cleaning from top to bottom yesterday evening for the burning season....whew.
First day firearm deer season here as always should be interesting at times.
Down to valley soon for 8 hours of I can't believe it w/some.

Enjoy the day all.

Pulling hard for you Randy.

Poured first cup of coffee. 21° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 46° with lots of sun. Wife and I have our annual wellness check ups today. That should fill a good part of the day. Need to get water hoses put away. Should have been done last week. Local gun shop has built a new building with a gun range and restaurant. Not sure how a meal will the smell of gun powder will go. But going to give it a try this evening.

Randy, thoughts and prayers for you.

Good Morning All.

Just go to iG Portal, sign up for an account, and start saving bookmarks. You can get to that page in any web browser, from a computer, pad, or phone. Nothing to store anywhere but on the portal itself.

RNG that is exactly what is needed for a Senior iPad. I think I would have to get it and play with it for a month to add the portal. One of the first things she said is "I don't type", so the portal might be the selling point. I think I will probably be asking you more questions about setting it up once I get the iPad. The At&T sales person said the iPad is the only tablet they have that is capable of texting.

Good morning! after reaching 91˚ yesterday the cool front finally made it's way through and cooled us down to 53˚ this morning.

Randy good to hear from you each day, you really have been in our thoughts and prayers.

Good morning, today would be our 42 anniversary. It’s been a week and I’m starting to function again. Slept fairly well.
My septic alarm light came on last night, gotta see if it’s really full or if the pump quit or it’s a false alarm. Either way is expensive. Mound system that’s six years old so could be anything.
40’s now and later, got a lot of rain yesterday. Have a good day.

47 degrees in drizzle, .91 inches of rain, thankfully and nice and slow.
Drew, You are just having to much fun,
Ed, I am, but not this morning. Horrible night, woke up at 3am with the right side of my face all puffed out like a chipmunk, my lips were even puffy. I'll be at the dentist at 8am pleading, no way I can last until tomorrow. What is adding insult to injury is that both places I have had tooth problems are on the teeth this dentist put crowns on. It's making me wonder....
Have no idea why my face puffed up but it looks pretty goofy; remarkable how one tooth can have such an impact on the body.
Not going to be a fun day, ok, enough whining.

Kyle, the tire receipt is filed but the bill was about 900 bucks for the tires and mounting all four tires. I think about $380 or so apiece.
I was pleasantly surprised how much grip these fairly aggressive turf tires had in soft sandy soil, but I'm sure if I hit mud anywhere I would not do well. Actually going to do a fair amount of row crow farming (on my tiny scale) with a turf tired tractor, which I sure never expected, nor of course is it optimum, but with 4wd on, I had zero slip.

Almost all the Japanese tractors back then had weird tire sizes, Mitsubishi/Case IH, Iseki, Yanmar, etc. Now 20 years later finding a fit isn't easy; neither of these tires are the oem size. Since my tractor was always turf tired, no problems with rims.

And now a pic of the one that got away. While loading the transporter to bring my farm equipment from PA to NC, we got to the end and my small Case IH simply would not fit on the truck. I was exhausted, 90+ degree heat in middle of move, just couldn't deal with it, left the tractor and mower there and had a friend come pick it up and take it to my church, which needed a small tractor and bush hog. Boy have I regretted doing that later. I had totally renovated this tractor, and the point of all this is I went from turf to ag on the rear without switching rims.
Put nice BKT R1's on it that were clearly oversized but cleared, so I sure wasn't going to get stuck.
Of course if I hadn't given it away, I wouldn't have gotten the little Massey now. But that Case IH's 23hp Mitsubishi engine was the smoothest diesel I've ever experienced.

The overnight low was 5*, yesterday's high was 39*. Today looks like it's going to be sunny and warmer. With the temperature in the mid 40's and 10-15 mph wind.

I did get a burn pile taken care of yesterday. Neighbor called and asked me to feed some horses and let his dogs out. He was in SLC for doctors appointment.

Kind of running out of things that I want to do. But still have things I need to do. I'll see if I get any of that done today.

wngsprd.... Wishing you a Happy Birthday.

Hope everyone has a nice day.
CWB.

40° and the sun is out.

Passed my colonoscopy, headed home to eat and sleep. My oldest sister died from colon cancer, so am on the watch list.

Had the pellet stove going yesterday, probably keep it going. Didnt clean it yet.

34°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 52° today.

I had planned to install the rest of my guitar hangers last night, as Amazon got them to me in two days. When I opened the Dewalt case, I found the chuck end and the various bits had started to rust. Against my better judgement, I'd let the boy use it over the weekend to do some work on his truck. Apparently, he felt is was OK to put everything away wet and dirty. Sent a picture of it to him with some angry text ... which history tells me was a waste of my time and aggravation. Still fuming over it this morning.

So, after an hour or so of searching for the Ballistol (everything has been moved after the remodel), I finally got everything cleaned up again. I also finally got the guitar hangers in place by about 9:30. The other stuff I'd hoped to accomplish in there will have to wait until this evening. Hopefully, no more unpleasant surprises.

I'll store your birthday wishes away for a few months...not my birthday, but the Led Zeppelin song...sorry to have been unclear on my earlier post.

67°F and .14 inches rain so far, still coming down.

Prayers for you Randy.

Our guests from Wisconsin departed yesterday after a month long vacation. Really nice folks we’ll miss. I think they are already planning their return. Gonna miss his daily ukulele practice and her signing along.

Eye doctor went well, New glasses ordered from Walmart. Might have to investigate getting a backup pair from one of those online places. Any suggestions for bifocals.

Take care
Have a great day

Looks like the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame!

back from dentist, he took one look at me and said whoa, root canal next week when infection goes down. Just lovely.
Hopefully the good drugs will kick in soon, can feel my pulse in my jaw. Lots of antibiotics.
So I'm grounded for the day. Hope to get a nap, didn't get much sleep last night.
Doc said I did nothing wrong. Though he did admit he could have caused the problem installing the crown.
If I ever have to get another crown on the bottom maybe a root canal while everything is exposed so I don't go through this
in the future.

Toppop, you're still the top pop. Hope you are spending lots of time with family, though I'm sure some peace and quiet after all you have been through
would be good. I think you are doing remarkably well and have really been a strong guy here.
May all of the prayers for you and your family come to pass.

I really want to go down and mount the LED lights on the ROPs of the little Massey, which I took off before it went to the dealer,
but I'm not alert enough to be sure of a good job. Only two tiny oem halogen headlights in the grill, almost useless.
It's remarkable how nice these LED flood/spot lights have gotten and how inexpensive they are, though I've read the lumens can be overstated.

Cold wet day out, unlikely to be enjoyed by man or beast.

Period key moved a little on me. Guess the pills are finally kicking in.

I’m getting a single ukulele which would look pretty lonely.

PJ, I wouldn't give Dewalt high marks for the chrome job unless it was left out in the rain overnight.
If just put back wet, I'm surprised. Did it sit in water? Really made a mess of it and usually once pitted, always pitted.
Doesn't affect how it works but sure affects how you feel about the tool.
I try to either wax or put a coat of WD40, maybe 303, on all new metal where it makes sense, outdoor stuff.
You won't ever kid proof your tools but at least he saw the unhappiness generated by poor maintenance.
You must have a few concerns over his receptiveness to this new knowledge you have given him.
I always say just bring it back the way it is.
PJ you have a good example of rode hard and put away wet.

Very nice. Now you just need a left handed guitar. :)

Thanks, Gents. I've been playing professionally since 1982, so they've been acquired over the course of that 35 years. They all serve a purpose. Most are not very expensive. The Rickenbacker bass second from right is, and the custom 6-string bass on the far right cost more than all the others combined. It's my baby, and has been my main instrument since I got it in '03.

I’m getting a single ukulele which would look pretty lonely.

Depends on how and where you hang it, of course. This room got a bit more crowded than I had originally anticipated. My Wife walked in last night and just shook her head. I did leave one hanger open, as I haven't yet found the right Les Paul I've been wanting.

For reference, from left to right: Alvarez acoustic (my Wife's, actually), Austin nylon string classical, Jackson Dinky (reverse headstock), Squire Fat Strat, (empty space), Epiphone Dot Studio, Squire Jazz bass, Rickenbacker 4001 bass, Fishbone Fire model 6-string bass.

Also pictured: Roland C-180 digital pipe organ keyboard (top), Roland XP-80 workstation keyboard (bottom), Ampeg PortaBass PB210 amplifier (my keyboard amp), and Alesis DM-10 Studio electronic drum kit.

Back from doctors. No problems found.
When I let the dog out this morning I was surprised by how many leaves fell over night. Below freezing temperatures have dropped a lot of leaves. Not going to do anything with them until next week. Friday is forecast to have high temperatures less than 30°.

Drew, he put it in the case wet and dirty, then closed it. I, too, was surprised at the amount of rust from sitting for two days. It was still wet when I opened the case, as seen in the picture. Many of the bits were wet and rusting as well. We didn't raise him like this, and it's frustrating to no end to see him do this kind of stuff when we know that he knows better, yet does it anyway.

The Ballistol and a little elbow grease cleaned everything up pretty nicely.
