Rain most of the day, off and on. No sun again. Did a few little jobs, not much to do outside. Getting the deck matieral tomorrow.

Need to clean out my home office area, and reclaim some desk space!

Be safe!

We have a little neighborhood watch type group on Facebook. Several people have taken it upon themselves to monitor police and fire scanners and post relevant information so we can keep up on the ones that might affect us. I've found that this little group will have the latest fire status, which in summer months can be vital.

Anyway, the following popped up this evening. Some of the responses are quite inventive, some even hilarious! You just can't make this stuff up!

Butte County Fires, Accidents, Crimes (BCFAC)
11/2/2017 @ 8:49 PM: Paradise: A female called 911 to report her neighbor put a ladder up against her house and was watching her undress through the window while she was in the bathroom, said this is an ongoing issue.

Amber Mckirk 9mm pointed right back at him should do the trick

Sean Coon Miller Glass is really reasonable for window replacement :)

Deanna Dzwonek Peeping tom. Pull ladder out from under them.

Slade Thornton She said ongoing. W.t.f. really..

Carmen Mouly O'Connell Maybe you need to introduce him to your baseball bat. That seems to get the message across better than words.

Lauren Cole Open the window and push the ladder over with him on it.

Kit Otterstrom Oh heck no!!! I would bait him and make sure he never did it again!

Cheri Vincent A little buckshot will cure that quickly!

Ethel Kennedy Have a bucket with strong red dye init and pour it over him

Susan Dawn Munroe Gruenberg Pepper spray...legal and will send him 'bassackwards'.

Michael Orr Anyone else just have an ‘Animal House’ flashback?

Michael Orr I can still picture him trying to hop the ladder to the next window when she moved,

Chloe Ryan Best believe he'd be falling off that ladder if that was me.

Hilary Petrella Get the hose lol then push the ladder.

Joyce Bond If this has been ongoing, why hasn't she hung curtains or a shade on that window? Besides all of the above ...

Cheryl Siemens Hale Give him a bat between the legs he won't think about peeping anymore.

ames Nelson Castorate him while he is standing on the ladder

James Nelson Real quick sharp knife

Evan Lenarcic Maybe she's an exhibitionist looking for attention.

Cheryl Siemens Hale This happened to me when I lived in Tahoe, only while I was taking a shower; my bf, his brother and a friend chased him about 4 blocks and pinned his *** down until cops got there....my bf had a bat too.

Norm Saunders I've heard if you use wasp spray they need to go to the hospital to get the Antidote it sprays further stronger and is more effective. Laurie Myers Pepper spray his asd

C-June Jones Jeez have your local bikers club over. Simple.

Brandy L. Powell She needs a gun, take out an eye, and he won't peep no more.

Billy Foreman Dam. Wait for it. Wait for it. Let him have it

oe Contrell A face full of #5 turkey shot solves this sort of thing.

Joe Contrell Razor blades on the window sill.

Good pic of the little bugger eating your collards - bottom center second leaf up.

Don you have marvelous eyes, I hunted and hunted and there it is, that fat slug eating my collards.
Going to find him today for sure. Talk about camouflage...

A warm 55 going up to 80 today. Today is paint day. I am determined to finish the little Massey. Did the black part of the side grills late yesterday, so all I have to do, famous last words, is the top and sides. The sides remove so that is easy. I now have a very healthy respect for bright red paint overspray.

RNG, I'm glad you are considering a different engine. This guy has literally driven you nuts, and has provided Olympic style to the dog ate my homework.
Are you sure you just don't want to dump a Porsche 914 engine out of a wreck in there? Lots of folks have up-powered these vans.

Hope you all have a nice Friday.

Good morning, looks like another overcast day for us, though hopefully mostly dry.

Yesterday there was hardley a breath of wind. I went past the big pond several times while bringing back elm rounds for future firewood and each time it was almost devoid of waterfowl, even the coots seemed reluctant to break the surface of the flat calm 3 acre mirror.

[Sorry, you will have to use your imagination in place of the picture that ought to have been here. :confused3: I was pulling a trailer with a high centre of gravity and was way too chicken to cross the slope above the pond at an angle that would let me stop and get the camera out while trusting everything to a handbrake]

Don, that should be ok, Drew hasn't gone fully vegetarian yet, so caterpillars are just a little extra organic protein. :licking: :yuck:

Still thinking of you Randy.

Don that is a good eye. It is a cabbage worm, they make an organic spray that kills them. I get it at the hardware store. This is the pretty little white moth that you see flying around your yard and garden. They get on any of the cole family of plants. Ed

First cup of coffee has been poured. 41° with mostly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 49° with mostly sunny skies. Doctor appointment this morning. Then take dog to groomer. Got my list completed yesterday. Got wet from power washer and rain. Still need to change hydraulic and transmission filter on lawnmower. But at least mower is clean enough to see where they are.
Randy, you are in my thoughts.
Drew, have you tried Tub O Towels for clean up. They are not just for your hands.
David S, no pictures of the buses? :D
Good Morning All.

Good morning all, 48 this morning going to 78. Guess I better turn off the heater in the shop. Working on plans to hook up a dust deputy to my shop vac. Hope to make a little cart to hook the vac and bucket together and have the bucket lid flip up on a hinge. Still a lot of figuring to do.:D Ron thanks for the getting in the shop tip.

Drew, I am liking the looks of that little Massey, I know you are already enjoying it.

RNG, remind me never to get on the wrong side of your neighbors.

Randy, Prayers still being sent your way.

Have a great day, Ed

Ed, I'm headed for organic spray this morning. Thanks

Eric we'd much rather have you in one piece versus the picture. I hate slopes and get
nervous very quickly. There are so many rollover videos on Youtube...might not be really good on
my neck. Did you have your seatbelt on?...(I forget often)

A big group man hug for Randy.

Almost all of us go through this, hope you are extremely old and totally senile and oblivious when it happens to you.
I believe Randy and Lynn were high school sweethearts. Going to take him a few weeks to get out of the fog, get past the funeral, and then wonder about
the rest of his life. And we will be here.

   / Good morning!!!! #64,076
Good morning! I have been thinking a lot about Randy also. We both married our high school sweetheart in 75'. It's got to be so hard to be thinking singular and missing her so much. I can't seen to grasp how I would cope. I know for me it will be a long slow recovery with a lot of setbacks.

Ron, Ms. Whipper keeps looking down the road waiting for Betty to show up to get her annual November treat and I have a little pond that could be dug a lot quicker with two people. Guest get the seat time. Right now the temps are unseasonable warm hitting the 80s. Before sunrise it is 73˚.

The window guy showed up to take measurements. The little battery operated EGO lawnmower with NO SIDECHUTE hit a rock sending it through a double paned, tempered glass, tinted, window with replacement cost of $420.

   / Good morning!!!! #64,077
RNG, I can't believe the 911 caller said it was an "on going issue". Something is not right with either of them.

Drew, Master Organic Gardeners are taught to use fingers instead of sprays on the larger pest such as you have. They don't want to take the chance of killing beneficial insects.

Ouch. Very unlucky...things really shouldn't shoot out of a mulching mower but that's a powerful bat under there that clearly hit the ball through your window.
Whatever direction you were mowing in when this happened, I'd mow in the opposite direction next time.

txdon; Drew said:
Hmmm. Collateral damage. Really don't want to hand pick bugs, perhaps my bb gun with a scope might be a bit drastic...;)
I was thinking some form of Neem oil. If I air blast the collards first to blow away at least some of the good bugs, then spray an organic spray that works on contact,
I think I might take the compromise. Most bugs are my friends. The stamps I'm now using are the pollinator stamps that have pics of bees on flowers.
Can't kill the good guys.

time to make breakfast and go squish at least one bug.

Somebody did. They are now engaged after the game.

Attempt at humor since Correa proposed to Miss Texas, I'm waiting to hear why Verlander has cold feet with Ms. Upton,...

Ouch on the window price Don. You might check on buying just the 2 plates of glass(already assembled together), pull the trim stay pieces, and put it in yourself.
