enjoyable day, got the rubber underliners cut and installed for the little tractor's floorboards, thin enough the oem mats can go on top.
MF parts price for the left mat was 108 dollars. Must be made with golden filigree threads...no thank you.
Then I spent another several hours blue taping the tractor for painting tomorrow. I have the right oem paint this time. So many levers and knobs to tape.
Since I'm spraying red paint, any overspray is obvious.

Tomorrow is the last warm day for awhile, particularly until what is now being called a Nor'Easter on Sunday.

I dont like the new look either. Even crv has the sloped down back.

My 2013 has backup camera.

This made me chuckle because today I got a lovely email from the son of one of my oldest and best friends.
My friend bought a remote mountain cabin in Arkville, NY, in the Catskills, the year we both graduated from college, 1971.
In 1988 I bought my first Honda, a Foreman ATV. Built for ruggedness and not for speed, it has pulled cart loads of wood and cart loads of little kids for decade
after decade. Twenty years ago my back started getting bad and I couldn't ride it any more, so I gave it to my friend to keep at his cabin. So his kids have grown up with it,
and his son has taken meticulous care of it. It looks almost like new 30 years later. But his words on the reliability of a Honda just rang out when you guys were discussing style. You'd better like it because it will definitely be with you a long time.:

It is easily the most reliable piece of equipment at the cabin or that my father has in his possession. How many chainsaws, lawnmowers, weed whackers, hedge trimmers or even loppers have we replaced and the Honda just keeps on running. I have a feeling the planet might run out of petrol before it gives up.*

70 today currently 58.

Got ceiling insulation in today in the new building. Yeah the one that’s 2 years old and not finished.

Still working on the new cattle pen. Hung a couple more gates. Been in chicken coops. Started supplementing hay to cows. Still have about half my bushhogging to finish.

Still trying to get bids in for upgrades. I’m about done with one company except for new fans. They have to come from them as they are in a discount program as the last ones rusted out prematurely. New ones will be either fiberglass or a composite plastic.

Don find wipper.

RNG interesting ride.

Eric. Congrats on becoming a Grandpa again.

Good evening all. 54F this morning, clear sky, moderate wind. High temp today was 84F, wind topped out at about 25mph, and sky was not cloudy all day. Roller-coaster temps next few days, forecast low for Saturday is 32F! Kitchen cleanup started the day, worked on volagi, chain need clean and lube, front derailleur need clean, lube and adjust.

RNG, great sounding trip and pics.

Thanks for well wishes and prayers for my wife...got to doctors at 8:30am and all is well...out the door before 9:00.

Hoping for a Whipper family reunion.

Safe travels, Roy.

Some of us are up too early...36 degrees out, Brrrr, will there be frost on the truck this morning? I hope not.
Or I'm only going to have fried green tomatoes...

Woke up to heat up a heat wrap for my neck.

A thin layer of mist is clinging to the slopes this morning while the sun contemplates what time to emerge on what looks set to be the best day so far this Autumn. Hedge laying again for me today.

RNG, you sound to have had a few exhilarating rides, with great pictures too.
I swear my shoulders started to ache when I saw the one of you two wheel riding over snow. Both my left and right side must have memories of too many "say hello to the ground" moments in my past. :)

Drinking first cup of coffee. 46° with with mostly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 56° with rain in afternoon. Lawn has been mowed and Shop Crane has been assembled. My back is still sore. Plan to take it easy today.

Good morning all, 32 this morning going to 69 and sunny. Hope to finish shelves in pantry today and install door and quit thinking about it for a while. Again, we will see. We are about to put a stop to the weekly Mother in law visits. She has been abusive for years and she upsets the boy and it often takes him days to get over her visit so it has to stop. Hard for my wife to stand up to mom. Prayers needed please.

Roy, Prayers for the cold and trip, enjoy your own bed tonight.

RNG, Looks like a fun trip but the snow brings back memories of a not so fun trip I made years ago. Thanks for the pics.

Don, still praying for Wipper's safe return and Gray2's safety.

Drew, I was going to use paint on bed liner on my Massey but never got around to it.

Have a great day. Ed

Thermometer saying 34, mighty close.
Ed, I had a choice of old style car rustproofing stuff vs this bed liner and I thought this might be a little harder finish.
One can didn't go very far, I got it all covered but not well. Figured while I still could, put another layer on, particularly in the areas I welded.
I suppose I should spray Teflon on top of that but probably not that motivated...

Actually slept for another couple of hours with that heat wrap around my neck, too bad I couldn't dream of some Caribbean beach.

This cold means I won't be able to paint until noon or after. All that steel has to warm up and it's been sitting outside.
I put the tractor where the sun first hits it coming up, so after errands this morning I'll take an IR heat gun to the metal, in the shady spots, and see
if it's warm enough to paint.

Roy travel safely and shake that cold. I got a cold almost every time I flew, and I never get sick.

Currently predicting 1.4 inches of rain on Sunday from the storm. I'm guessing more.

Pads look good Drew!
Ordered my new air compressor today, still tractor shopping though.

thanks. They add just a little squish underneath, maybe cut vibration down a tiny bit.
And from you that's a compliment because I was thinking of you while I was cutting them thinking
I bet Randy could do this a lot better than I am and has better scissors. Luckily it cut pretty easily.
At first I thought it was too thin but in application glad it wasn't any thicker.

Ingersoll or Quincy?

NWS says it's 50 degrees with a strong north wind going for a high of 55. With so many shopping "malls" being abandoned, or nearly abandoned, I've been surprised by the Tanger Outlet Mall under construction on I35W on the north side of Ft. Worth, next to Bucee's. They're supposed to have 70 stores and they open today, so I guess I'll have to take my wife and her sister to see it.
