Yes, good CL write up RNG...thanks!

You're starting to get serious about that welding. Have fun. Remember, cleanliness is next to Godliness when it comes to Tig welding.

Love me some Wilburys. I can't find it, but there was a skit on SNL that all the actors did slurry speech versions of them. It was hilarious with Dylan's fill in talking with Petty's fill in.

A couple of Petty’s songs sound like he’s channeling Dylan.

Good evening all. 74F this morning, light sprinkles, calm wind. High temp was 87F, wind got gusty and sky partially cleared early, then clouded back up and light showers this evening. I hope we get more than .1 inch of rain, have not had a day with more than .1 since late August, and only 2 days with trace of rain. Day started with cleaning before cleaning lady comes, trip to town to pick up van, get haircut, and pick up a few items from grocery store. After lunch, bike ride, button hear crew fixed lack of clearance problem on rear fender :)

That sounds quite a tight fit !

We call bike fenders "mud guards" - unless I've got it wrong and you really are riding around with a Stratocaster strapped on the back

Good morning all. The Wilbury's music travelled quite a distance, certainly as far as these shores, but not quite as far as the 43 million miles that Sputnik managed after it launched 60 years ago today ( Sputnik in Russian translates to "travelling companion".)

Got some shuttering in yesterday to put down a base ready for when my wife's greenhouse arrives. Only trouble is my forearm muscles are playing up again, I'm having doubts at my ability to barrow in a load of ready mixed concrete before it all goes off. I'm going to plan B instead, so I can take my time to lay 2' x 3' paving stones over a 6:1 sand & cement dry mix screed. Weather may have other plans for today.

RS. That's a nice change for you to have an excess of wood to burn, a big difference to a couple of years ago  I'm feeling a tinge of firewood envy :ashamed:

46 going to 79.

Listened to a bit of Petty in remembrance...never a huge fan, but always enjoyed hearing one of his songs when played.

Got a good workout at the gym, then did some lopping and pole saw work. Finding a good tool is special. I lucked into a great pole saw about 30 years ago, and soon wore the label off, but wish I could remember the brand...never seen another like it. Made of what looks like white PVC, two sizes to enable telescoping...it saws and lops. I've changed the blade a few times, and the rope maybe once...indestructible and strong. Eric, it's too big to put on my pillow.

Good morning all, 45 this morning with some fog and then 79 and sunny. Today is Mother in law visit day. After that I hope to finish Mom's bathroom. We will see.

Ron, dry weather kills the color in trees, at least that is what "they" say.

Have a great day. Ed

We call them fenders because they fend off the mud and rocks! LOL

made good progress on the mower deck yesterday, looks great from ten feet away, not so hot up close, but first time it gets dirty it will all look the same.
I'll obsess on the paint job on the second deck, have another wing mower just like this, but in nicer shape. This was my training unit.

bugs, stupid bugs. Something this big and this red must look like a huge flower. Tweezed three bugs off.

Good Morning!!!! 53 F @ 6:30 AM. % Precip. / 0.00 in. Sunny. High near 75F. Winds SW at 5 to 10 mph.

bugs, stupid bugs. Something this big and this red must look like a huge flower. Tweezed three bugs off.

I paint with a pair of tweezers in my back pocket, and they seldom remain there for the whole job. Would love to be able to rent a booth, but for some reason no one local offers the service. On a car or motorcycle, it may not matter as much as bug splats are fairly common. Some just won't rub off is all.

Disturbing images from the Vegas shooting now showing up on the 'net, along with details of how it was carried out. Not good, as it will inspire copycats and give them everything needed to do a better job. And that will be the fault of the media, not the guns.

Push rod tube seals finished on both sides of old motorcycle yesterday, also shot peened valve covers to blend in repairs and they look good as new. But I also noticed some damage to the speedo drive gear, so the transmission may need to come apart to replace that. Will have to take a closer look with the endoscope today.

Happy Hump Day everyone!
