Good Morning!!!! 0% Precip. / 0.00 in. Sunny. High 87F. Winds ENE at 10 to 15 mph.

Are those cranes, Ron? They look like fairly large birds...

The weekend's Red Flag Warning has been extended until Wednesday morning, with continuing hot temperatures, high wind, and low humidity. We had two fires nearby yesterday, one just a few acres but the other over 40. And a hardwood warehouse caught fire in Chico. Last night they thought that had it confined to a spray booth, but this morning I see that the building is now 70% engulfed.

Nice day yesterday, with wind gentler than predicted and warm temperatures enough to warrant running the A/C again. Satellite Internet went down around 9 AM, which tech support said was a regional outage. A very short (just a few seconds) power outage hit in early afternoon, shutting off the lathe I was using and causing the clock on the range to flash. More signs of the approaching apocalypse, I'm sure.

Got the silver paint sprayed on the wheel hubs and air filter cover for the old bike without getting too much dust in it. It's supposed to have a dull finish, so today I'll hit it with some rubbing compound to take off some of the gloss.

With the shocks off the bike, I went to remove the rear wheel and swingarm, but found I needed a special pin wrench to unscrew the pivots pins. Got the body made before it was time for dinner; I'll make the pins this morning. By that time, the Internet was back up, not that I missed it much other than catching up on the larger of the two wildfires, the smoke from which was visible from here.

Only 73 right now going for a high of 86 with a 40% chance of rain. However, with the humidity at 96%, I was wringing wet after cleaning out rain gutters and doing a little string trimming on the yard, even though I started as soon as it was light enough to see. So I just got a shower and plan to take it easy the rest of the day.

Overcast, windy and humid, thanks to the storm. Thomas, you beat me, I had 38 years on the same job, but I owned the company so they couldn’t fire me!

76°, Was foggy this morning but sun now out. Highs only in mid 80's today and tomorrow, then it cools off.

Last week I hit 34 yr milestone of full time work. I worked 20 yrs at first place, 12.5 yrs next place, and 1.5 at current company, last 2 jobs as contractor for the first place. With kids in college I still see about 4 yrs of working if my health allows. We had kids a little later than most. I could actually start drawing a small early pension from my 2nd company.

The low so far this morning is 23*, yesterday's high was 52*. Going to be sunny with the high in the upper 50's.

Going up to see some friends from work. If I can get there, the mountains got hit pretty hard with the snow. They are going to be deer hunting on the Utah side, on a muzzleloader hunt. Haven't seen them in a couple of years.
Not much else planned.

Hope everyone has a nice day.
CWB.

64°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 91° again today. Last day of summer's last gasp. Highs in the mid-to-upper-70s for the foreseeable future. Still quite dark when I left the house this morning, and was treated to an amazing display of stars overhead when I walked out the door.

Found a guitar speaker cabinet for my studio yesterday on one of those Facebook music gear group pages. Meeting up with the seller after work. It's the same 4x12 cabinet I used to have, but lost in a basement flood at the house I had before I got married (came home to find it, and a lot of other equipment, sitting in 28" of water that came in through the floor drain). Looking forward to getting my studio back in place.

Eric, crappie (pronounced "croppy") is both a delicious fish, and very fun to catch. Little boogers can put up quite a fight for their size.

Also known as "white perch" and in Louisiana they're known as sac-a-lait, and as far as I'm concerned there just isn't any better eating.

Drew, Kinda like cabbage, stored in a cool place it is cabbage, more water and it ferments and you have sauerkraut.

Mostly, Depends on where you are, We don't have cropie, we have crappy.

Have a great day. Ed

Put cabbage in a pot, bury in your back yard and you’ve got Kimchi!

Drew, no chance of a squeak. Just abuse. Back up and going forward wearing down the albizia stumps.

This is my mud bar. Had the delusion I might be able to straighten:

65 this morning and Currently 89.

Still waiting on the dew to dry. Then hopefully bale hay.

Ran the MF255 out of diesel once. Have to open and bleed each injector in firing order. If I remember right that's 1-3-4-2. But when I change fuel filters I use the process described earlier.

Drew. Silage is basically a fermented feed. If it gets oxygen then it will rot and spoil. Silage is created by locking out the oxygen.
