The low this morning was 37*, yesterday high was 70*. Today is going to be about the same. The forecast is for wetter weather in the middle of the week.

The plans for today is doing little things around here getting ready for the cold season. I bought a heater for the side by side will look at it and see how that goes in. One of the neighbors said he would help me on that.

Hope everyone has a nice day.

Warm, humid and misting/showers, I guess it's a band from Jose looking at the map, northeast wind picking up, flag is popping pretty good. Getting tires on the wife's Edge on Wednesday, got about 80,000 miles on the originals, not bad! 245/50/20 is not the most common size, limits your choices a bit.

63°F and partly cloudy this morning, Going up to 88° today (17.2°/31.1°C for Eric's conversion ... and neither are my age :p). Looks like that three days of promised rain has been reneged. We really could have used more that the mere light sprinkling we got yesterday evening.

Sad day at the Smith house yesterday, as I had to put down our 11-year-old outside cat. The Wife had rescued her and a male sibling from near her ex-husband's farm when they were kittens. She named them Yin and Yang. Yin died from some rare cat disease at around 1 year old. 10 years later, Yang is buried next to him under a tree in the back yard. Never an easy thing.

On a lighter note, our electrician was at the house all day Friday until almost 7pm, and came back for four hours Saturday morning, and now he's pretty much done. Once the carpenter comes back and finished closing the walls and spraying texture, we can paint, and the electrician will come back and finish the outlets and coverplates. It's incredible to see the amount of work he's done, and we came in a bit under the expected budget. Progress.

Got an old wood chair repaired Saturday for The Wife, one she used at her desk in her sewing room. It's a good, solid chair she found in an antique store, but the seat was never connected to the frame. With the aid of a few L-brackets, it's now connected. When she removed it again to recover the seat, I'll replace the brackets with some proper oak cleats.

Happy (belated) Birthday, Ed.

Good Morning!!!! 67/F @ 9:15AM. Mostly sunny. High 77F. Winds S at 10 to 20 mph.

Didn't even know To Tell The Truth was back on TV, Don. I'll try to remember to set a timer for it. Just for grins, see if they'll run a load test on the old battery for you when you buy the new one, Don. I guess I'm just not very trustful of the new generation of chargers/testers.

Hope those ailing feel better soon!

Nice long weekend camping at the Qunicy, CA fairgrounds with a couple hundred other BMW riders. Only an hour's trip either way, but jam packed full of curves and smiles. Nice 300 mile loop on Friday up past Eagle Lake, then around Lake Almanor and down through Lassen Volcanic National Park. The leaves are starting to change in the high country, and yesterday's 36F temperature in the morning made crawling out of the tent a brisk business. Appreciated the decaf coffee and breakfast burrito in a nearby restaurant even more.

Met up with a fairly recent acquaintance and helped him celebrate his 72nd birthday on Saturday with a short ride, then talked with one of my Airhead mentors after he gave a short talk recapping his motorcycling adventures over his eighty something years. Apparently I still have a few good years left if I mind my Ps and Qs.

Hope everybody's week gets off to a great start!
