Good morning!!!!

70°F and .01 inches rain

Will be grouting my tile today. Pleased with the way it's looking at this point.

Considering getting the park pass. Sophie has the disability version, which means I get in on her. The question is would I use it should I not have her. Volcanoes National Park is our local attraction, KMC is a military facility located there and it has always ticked me off that my ID card was not sufficient for entry. Park passes were handy when we visited the Grand Canyon a couple years ago. Even got discount on the train ride.

Be safe
Have a great day

Considering getting the park pass.

If I had the option for the $10 lifetime pass, I'd be on it like a rooster on a June bug. The last few years I've averaged maybe 1 NP/year, but at $25/pop, that lifetime pass would have been paid for the first time I used it. Now, at $80, it'll take years unless I step up my NP visit rate. :duh:

They spoil the view for miles away and bring in ugly Americans from all over the country

now RNG, since you are on a roll, don't forget those ugly gigantic rv parks and bozos like me from afar pulling those horrible rv trailers that are a blight
on the landscape. Worse I got the cheap pass :dance1:
And until I have an Easy Rider moment I'll pull my trailer in the far left lane doing right on the speed limit.
Ugly American indeed.

got a lot done outside in case the rains actually show up. Now a quiet night in watching a movie. Maybe some popcorn.

I might use mine this weekend at Lake Georgetown. Savings $4. I just had a 6 month window to get the Senior pass at the old rate. Now I'm finally grandfathered in something.

I don't know about you, Don, but I'd worry more about how whatever that thing is got into the house than what it is. It doesn't appear to have any teeth, fangs, or stingers, but something else that does could just as easily come in the same way:eek:

I have identified the SNAKE! in the kitchen. it is a Leptotyphlops dulcet. It is a good snake that eats termite and ant larva. It probably came up where the plumbing goes through the slab. It was found by the kitchen sink but I'm not going to tear out the cabinets to seal it.

Good evening all. 74F this morning, partly cloudy, and calm. skies remained partly cloudy, humidity on the rise and temp rose to 99F. Rain chances going up the next few days and a cool off to low to mid 90's . Got some more consulting done, and have 2-3 hour more to do. Ran errands today day, ordered new glasses, got new rear view mirror on new helmet, found out new Autumn Blaze Maple doe not like my water :confused2::eek: and wife made a book store run. Finished the day with a 2 hour nap :cool2:

I believe it was a bit east of town....I saw the rainbow.

It is hard to keep up here if you miss a day. Cane pole fishing in Wyoming sounds good.

Last of the lambs as a mid summer night's dream, includes the last lamb taking it's time to jump o'er the fence.

RNG has more patience than most, but that little piece of paper to appease the CARB peeps is a pain in the ....

Not too many natty parks around here, but the pass for $10 is a great deal to be sure.

Came home to A/C out again...Turns out it needed the new contacts I had purchased last month to be installed. So far this year, more freon, new Cap, new condenser fan motor, and blade, and now, new contacts. Fortunately, I haven't had to call out the pros yet. Thank the Lord I had the part. It is hot down here and the A/C guys are overloaded.

I was able to get great service, great pricing, and cheap shipping on my A/C parts from SupplyHouse.com I recommend them.

Wifey is happy it is blowing cold again. Happy Wifey, happy lifey.

Keep praying for diplomatic solutions to the world's problems.

Ordered my NP pass, not that I'm too sure how much I'll use it. Already made one poor choice. Took wife I ordered online as the $10 fee would have been about same as driving there. Of course with barely a pause, she informed me that getting it online wouldn't include lunch. Oh well!!!!

Please with my grout work. UPS delivered the vent hoods today so those will get installed tomorrow.

Another great day.

Good morning all. An odd shower to come later in the day, but after that it should stay dry into Saturday, which is great because that is the day I face the EU mandated herbicide tests and the practical part needs to be done outside. Not looking forward to it, but at least for the machine mounted/towed part, I get to use my own tractor. I suppose I ought to spend some time today revising for the written part of the exam.:(

I think of a "fishing rod" has having a reel to hold extra line and a "fishing pole" having the line tied to the end, do you all use the same terminology ? Poles can be as simple as a branch cut straight from a tree, right up to fancy ultra lightweight carbon affairs which first started to became popular here in the 70's when they were mostly imported from France and Italy. I just checked on today's prices and saw many top of the range poles costing several thousand pounds !

the local team made it to the Little League finals! Greenville NC, just West of me, is headed to Williamsport. Lot of parents have taken a week off work to go to regional playoffs in Georgia; talk about a travel team...

May be showers this morning, not sure my wood chipping is going to get done. Never got to it yesterday, did a lot of mowing instead

68 high of 77 maybe storms and showers maybe not

Ditto what Buppies said, except I am a degree warmer. Pushed the mower through some of the yard yesterday. Regular tasks for animals. Did my gas fill her ups and dump run. The lawn mowers are ready to go, as am I, but I don't think nature will cooperate these next two days. I feel at this point pretty good about the grass cutting, I am on top of it. Mind you, that post somewhere on TBN where the poor guy was overwhelmed, yeah, been there. I guess between nature and me this year, it was a detente. Odd but I don't recall the grasses going dormant like in years past. My pastures are still pretty green.

Anyway, hope everyone has a great day, and start to the w/e. Be safe.

67 headed to 83 and hopefully some rain later.

Mowed as the dew dried yesterday...same today.

Wife returns from a week in NC helping parents.

Eric, I think your definitions are good. I'm lazy and probably use rod and pole interchangeably. Although if I had bought a 4K pounds "pole" from Fosters, I think I would expect magic, so would call it a wand.

61F partly cloudy sky mid 80's for high.
As Roy said "Glad it's Friday!"

Finish trimming lawn last evening so after work today bounce on the rider give the lawn haircut.

Enjoy the day all.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 64° with rain this morning. Heading to 79° with chance of thunderstorms in afternoon. Got the lawn cut. Saw 4 Sandhill Cranes checking out back field. Did not have phone with me to take a picture. Friend arrived yesterday afternoon. Off to the local Art Fair today. In between rain drops.
RNG, I hear your complaints about tourists. They/we need a place to stay so we can enjoy these places too.
Eric, when I was fishing the Great Lakes I had about 30 fishing poles. Now I have to start calling them fishing ROD's.:confused3:
Good Morning All.
