Big storm approaching, looks like we will be on the southern edge of it.

if I could skip the hot sauce . . .

The heat (spicy) of the sauce is directly related to the peppers used. In this batch used grilled hatch peppers. It turned out too mild and we had to add some Sriracha hot sauce to it just to spice it up a bit.

A mixed day of sunshine and some showers predicted for us today. I had wanted to finish putting together the frame for a small rat-proof feed bin, however my welding equipment can charm rain out of a clear sky on the best of days, so looks like that will have to wait a while.

Hope you all have a good weekend.

Need to pour first cup of coffee. 53° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 76° with sunny skies. Did not get much done yesterday. Trimmed some of the branches off bigger limbs. Then took rest of day off. Back at it today. Should get it cleaned up and chipped today.
Sam's Club is having a 1 day sale. Ordered some LED utility lights and a Air Fryer. While the warehouse is less than 5 miles away I'm letting them ship the items to me. Must be the weather change that has me in lazy mode.
RNG, Sams Club has a pellet BBQ on sale for their 1 day sale. Since I got a pellet BBQ have not used the gas BBQ.
Good Morning All.

67 breezy this morning no rain again skipped us again high of 81. Trees growing into power lines sparks fly when raining power company refuses to do anything about it. They sent tree service out to review told wife something should be done still waiting.

Good morning! Today is an epic day. It marks the end of my parents Cattle business. The final roundup. The land is Leased to the next generation down, the 30 something cowboys. My parents pushed it as long as they could, neither can even make it to the corral to see us round them up. Now I got to get out of the house and get-er-done before it heats up. I hope those doggies cooperate.

64 right now...high will be a much cooler 73 degrees and a high probability of thunderstorms.

Chores will be a dump run in a couple hours. Then, I need to figure out why my pneumatic grease gun isn't pumping.

After that's done, I'd like to tackle some more of that bamboo and the field mowing. That will be somewhat dependent on the weather.

If all goes well, I'll be heading up to my FFL this afternoon and picking up a Ruger SR9C

overnight light rain showers moving out, should be a nice day today and tomorrow and then the forecast is very wet.
Which actually is good unless one likes to mow the lawn in clouds of dust.

headed downtown to bank, realized yesterday after paying housecleaners I had three one dollar bills in my pocket. That won't take any of us very far.
A medium chocolate and vanilla soft ice cream cone for three bucks. Sounds better than a tube of #2 grease...;) Even if both are needed...

Actually I bought a case of grease when it was on sale, moly blend,
black sticky stuff seems to leap out on my clothes, bottoms of my arms, even an elbow at times. But I had no desire to pay a dollar+ more per tube and get the same stuff
colored JD green. I had to chuckle when I first greased my mower with that grease. I looked at the green color and thought you have to be kidding. Talk about Green Pride...
but perhaps that's how the techs know "their" grease was used.
I have used the red tacky grease for many years but have settled on plain black moly because that seems to meet all the specs.
Now if only they made a tube of grease that never ran out...

RS, why don't you kick back this weekend and just relax.
Did you ever post a pic of your finished grapple? I think that's what your were working on...the Eiffel Tower.

I special ordered some eclipse stamps. Kinda gimmicky (of course) as they change colors in the light.
Hope they didn't cost more than they are sold for...government job.
So I have my glasses and my stamps and I'm a genuine eclipse geek.
Charleston SC is the closest big city near here that is right under the path. Should be about 80 percent here, just North of the path.

Epic day is a good description for something like this. But I bet it is also a sad day in many respects. Hope all goes well.
