Nice apples everyone. Mine are kinda pitiful. I have my best luck with pokeweed.

Planted some more sunflowers yesterday, and have one more field to do today, although no rain forecast for the next 5 days, at least.

Nice sunny morning, the low was 45* going to the low 80's.
Windy in the afternoon 20-30 mph..

Neighbor got his fire wood processor going yesterday. Think I may go help him some today. Last year he was doing about two cords in just over two hours.
He told me he did over two hundred cords last year..

That's a lot of firewood. I think I know what a firewood processor is, based on seeing something for sale demonstrated at an ag fair.

Very nice 53 degrees out now with 80's this afternoon. Should be a good day for a ride in the convertible.

two hundred cords of wood not far North of here, and I can't give firewood away. Really. I produce way more firewood than I can use and hardly anyone it seems heats with wood here. Found one guy with a wood stove in his workshop, he wanted some...but it just doesn't stay cold enough long enough here for there to be many fireplaces going.

Sounds like many of us will be chopping and chipping today. Have a great weekend everyone.

53F clear sky now low 80's for high,next 5 days warm up w/heavy air.

Todays plans...need to cut and clean up 1 more BIG spruce tree,notice yesterday while mowing front field the water under mining into the bank needs fixing,Mrs. mention something about fishing late afternoon early evening if not maybe nice motorcycle ride.

Weather about the same as Thomas (about) since we're probably only about 25-30 miles apart.

Dump run, get fuel this morning and mow today, when the dew dries. I've been negligent about the lawn with this cold and lung congestion I've got. The meds I got are improving the situation, but still some hacking and coughing. I'll definitely be wearing a mask when mowing today.
When my step-daughter got up yesterday, the refrigerator wasn't running. When I got home, I turned it off and back on, which got it runnning. We lost some milk and such, but that was about it...even that was more preventative rather than actually spoiled. Guess it's time to look for a new refrigerator.

Mowed grass yesterday, amazed how dry it was after all the rain we've had. I've been wearing my straw hat when I'm out for more than a few minutes, trying to protect what's left of my skin, that and I look like John Wayne with it on. Of course he's been dead near 40 years!
One grandson has tee ball today, and I plan to start taking the overflow of stray cats to the shelter.

Mid 80's with rising humidity today, then really hot next week.

The weather station said it got down to 34* last night. But the frost on the windshield of my truck said it was colder then that..
Yesterday's high was in the low 80's with a southwest wind 20-30. Today is going to be much the same. High 70's and windy.

Didn't get any wood cut with neighbor but made trip to Rock Springs to get some steel for a truck rack he is making.

His processor is a small one, he can cut a16 inch round tree. He loads the table with a skid steer and cuts the wood to length 12-24 inches. It drops into a splitter and then on to a conveyor belt to load a dump trailer. All we have to cut here is lodge pole pine and aspen.

74F and partly cloudy @ 11:00, high today predicted to hit 83F ... no rain in forecast until Tuesday from the looks of it. Think we did have a little shower this morning tho' ...

Made a big dent getting the forsythia pruned yesterday, also trimmed the neighbor's apple tree that has fallen over, where it keeps me from mowing around the evergreens. Got the lawn around the house mowed too, along with the trimming in the front yards. Grilled burgers when The Woman got home, then watched the Cavs deliver an amazing performance in Game 4 of The NBA Finals - setting multiple team/individual records.

Should be dry enough to do the main mowing in the front by either later today or tomorrow. .

Need to refill the bird feeders today. The nestbox with the house wren nest has 3 eggs in it now.

Would like to do some spraying today, but right now WB says the winds are gusting to 13 mph. Have to see what all I can get into, no shortage of things to do.

Second night of no leg/foot cramps ... :thumbsup:
