Poured first cup of coffee. 55° with clear skies. Heading to 73° with a few clouds. Nice to get out and get some exercise yesterday. Today should be another good day to get exercise and spend time on patio.
Good Morning All.

42 here, looking for 60? Cloudy, and rain on the way. Took me a bit to catch up, I went to Florida to visit my folks, I was happy to see that they are doing better, I was worried about my mom, she had a hip replacement, and she is doing much better. My dad is doing well, going on 83 and still golfing 3 times a week.

Randy, take care of yourself.
RNG, your updates on the dam situation has been great, much better to have your common sense analysis, than the doom and gloom guys.

Be safe!

26 and looking for a high of 39 and freezing rain for just north of me. By noon it is expected to change over to just rain.

I've not got much on the books for today.
Maybe install the lighter socket, maybe install the back up lights on the Jeep and maybe install the headlight washers, too. Maybe I will just putz around on the computer all day.:D

53 going to 67 partly cloudy day
Billy, that barn really looks nice, and what a change from "before". Great job.

55 this morning and headed to 68 today. Rain be here about lunch.

Finish dragging down chicken coops and then disinfect them. Then take youngest to the asthma and allergy doctor. He's been on breathing treatments for 4 weeks solid with 2 different meds and still wheezing. So going to try a specialist instead of just the pediatrician.

Crew supposed to be here today to clean out litter shed. Haul and spread. Sold to local farmer for row crop ground.

Don. At what point do you have to start worrying about snakes? Seems you've been warm for quite a while now.

Good morning, hope you're all well! Going to doc for follow up today, still not feeling great, but hopefully getting there.
We have a pretty week of weather coming up.

Good Morning! 49F @ 7:15AM. Thunderstorms. High near 50F. Winds SSE at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 80%.

Very windy all night with gusts over 40MPH. Some rain as well, but it's tapered off since mid day. The reservoir level has only come up a couple of feet as the dam keeps discharges less than 60,000 CFS to help control flooding. Pictures of flooding on I5 around Willows made the news yesterday, but had nothing to do with discharges at either Shasta or Oroville dams. They just picked a bad place to put the road and then didn't spend the money to elevate it out of the flooded area.

New LED driving lights should be here today, and if they arrive early enough I'll have a go at making mounts for them so they fit in next to the headlamps. If not, there's always tomorrow. I've not seen the van for almost two weeks, so Thursday's visit when I'm in town for groceries should be enlightening. But based on past history I'm not getting my hopes up.

55°F and light rain this morning, should end by noon and going up to 66° later today.

No work on the house yesterday. Wife found some more chimes, though. She's on a kick with that apparently. Siding will be installed on the sunroom Thursday.

Mostly, I've always wanted to ride the Katy/Missouri River Trails from St. Charles to KC. What a trip that must be. The farthest west I ever got was Hermann, when I used to ride out there with coworkers back in the '90s on a winery ride every year. Wife and I still talk about it every so often, but we're pretty sure our backs can't handle a long trip like that anymore. These days, we content ourselves to riding the converted RR right-of-ways around Madison County in Southern Illinois (MCT Trails).

62° F and .02 inches rain since midnight

Take the kitten to vet for 2nd shots this am, errands in town.

Good day powerwashing yesterday. All my old solar panels and aluminum cleaned up. About 3/4 of roof done. Have to get that finished before the rebuild.

Drew, that's going be be some orchard!!

Be safe
Have a great day

38 going to 61...will feel cool after the last few days in the mid 70s.

Spent another day painting. Decided to add a second coat, although I used the "expensive" paint that claimed a one coat coverage. Still have the east wall to do, but ran out of paint. Plan to pick that up this morning and back at it. Buppies, Coco is a good watcher, but not much help.

Did anyone see the TBN newsletter email...pix of "Tractors in Trouble." Looks like some of our TBN friends have run into some soft muddy ground and buried their tractors.

Forsythia already blooming on a couple of plants in pots that we dug up last fall to transplant.

Very nice

Any time the temperature gets above 50˚. I saw one on the road 2 weeks ago.
The wild plum trees and dewberries are in full bloom.

Farmer, my wife has started using (and selling) essential oils. She uses them for respiratory and many other uses. My first thought was "another snake oil", but I can honestly say I seen some amazing things firsthand. She uses a concoction on our autistic daughter to calm her if she's headed for a meltdown. If you want to, pm me and I can tell you more. I don't want to wear out my welcome here on GM thread.

I will tell one story that I'm still amazed about. We know a little 4year old girl who's family attends our church. She has MS and has had bacterial lung infection since 8 months old. My wife and her friend did some research about which oil kills the particular bacteria. They lent an atomizer and some oil to the mom. Mom would put the oils on the daughter's feet and back. Daughter has been on antibiotics for 3 years. About 2 weeks ago she had a culture done and for the first time in her life, she was bacteria free. She was sounding and breathing better too. Maybe it was a miracle, I can't say, but it happened after 2 weeks of oil treatments.

Good day.

My favorite "essential" oil. A dab behind each ear and I'm good for the day. Many dabs for my F-350.

Many things we don't understand, the naturals are great just not well understood.

Many drugs are attempts at what happens naturally. I tell people if they don't think oils are potent, go buy some cannibis, psilocybin, or black tar heroin. Just kidding, but using those as an example of extreme derivatives from plants.

Working on taxes here, Meh.

Good evening all. 47F this morning, calm wind, cloudy. Sky cleared, winds got a bit gusty, and temp hit 74F. First visit to dentist in 5 year did not go well. Two cavities, deep cleaning and possible root canal. Trying to find metric m4X.5 screw for 10-speed front derailleur not having much luck. Did take the new bike for a 20 miler, very nice ride don't have right seat yet. Pics coming soon.

Will have to agree. So many of the natural treatments have been lost since the inception of synthetic drugs. My wife also uses the essential oils. Helps with clearing sinuses. Haven't had much luck with other things.

Picked up my taxes today.

Took youngest son to doctor today and she actually took him off 1 medicine that his pediatrician had put him on a week ago. And decreased the number of doses on another. She didn't say what she thought the cause was but she doesn't see the asthma. So she wants to try a different approach, but hasn't spelled out her plans yet.
Did get back in time to make the Cattleman's Association meeting. Nice steak dinner and a very informative lecture on profitability for the year. Also had a speaker that covered evaluation of cattle hooves and legs. And how to use them to determine whether or not to keep an animal. Also learned how to score and determine soundness of udders. Speaker was covering an upcoming event and said he was trying to schedule a speaker who had a very good presentation on how to properly pull a calf, during the lunch session. When someone asked if he thought it was a good idea to show those pictures while people where trying to eat. His response was that if you couldn't look at those pictures and eat then you needed a new occupation. Said a true cattleman could eat beef while actually pulling a calf, not just looking at the pictures. His point was very good. Not a business for the queasy. Shoulder length gloves anyone.

Kyle I may get run out of GM before you if I add any more details.

Those trails are a bit too much for us. I mean they've even got centre lines. ! !
Te trail we're doing tomorrow has got a mile long tunnel with only three or four 40w bulbs. Accessory lights on the bike are useless. Just have to aim at the white dot at the end. Railway gauge is only 3'6" so track is narrow and definitely no sealing.

Pretty good day.
Kitten did well at vet.
Sold all 48 of my old solar panels for a reasonable price.
Spent a few hours socializing with friends and neighbors.

If wx is favorable, back to work on solar upgrade tomorrow.
