We spent a week at the Grand Canyon about 6 years ago, Randy. Stayed in Flagstaff and drove up to the Canyon. We became quite fond of that area. Cameron Trading Post is a must-stop place, out in the Painted Desert. And yes, we did the Winslow thing as well (while we were nearby for Meteor Crater).

That trip was the weekend before Thanksgiving, 1972, after a 100 mile run picking up Indians hitch hiking to a pow wow, I rolled into Winslow just as Take It Easy Came on the radio of my '68 Sport Fury. True story.

Good afternoon! 82, sunny. Nice day almost finished with the west side perimeter trail. I need a little more tractor work but I'm breaking while waiting for my apple tamales to cool.

Want to take my HS senior out west after graduation, not sure how much time I'll have though. We have to take him to Arkansas to register for college classes, it's only another 1000 miles to the canyon, lol.

You can assume that. We average 1 a yr in the 20 yrs I've lived here. A couple rolled a mile away, took the front off a house there twice.
