So is that strictly grid tied or have battery backup also?
Started my upgrade, installing the new charge controller today.
I paid $.76/watt for my new panels including tax and shipping, but still way better than I could get locally.
You can avoid the hefty shipping cost.
Grid tied. $2.43 per watt installed.
56 Canadian solar 340w panels w/
Solaredge optimizers.
2x Solaredge 10kw inverter
Everest ground mount rack,
175' trenching.

Had a solar salesman give me a quote. $46k for a 19kw system, ground mounted. I can probably do it myself for half that.

Whoa, since my electric bill is $1,200 a year, If I don't ever move, that system would pay for itself when I'm . . . . . 100 years old !

Your system would be less than half of that then. Course you get 30% back in Texas.(taxes)

Good evening all. 31F this morning, clear, light wind. Temp got up to 50F here, was a bit cooler in OK City. Funeral was for my wife's first husbands niece who was 52. Trip back and forth was uneventful, got home about 7PM. Stress test tomorrow has 4 hour fast, and echo gram (sp?) before and after, is this normal?

The last time I check our electrical co-op made it difficult to connect to their grid. They wanted the owner to pay for two meters one going in one going out, and would only pay pennies on the going out. They have since eliminated the need to pay for a second meter monthly but still no rebate on equipment. Also we have never stayed in one place more than 15 years and we have been here 11.

I think that is right, it's been a long time since I had the stress test with echo gram. It was about 6 months before my heart attack. I passed it easily. You should pass yours also with all the bike exercise you get. That reminds me, this cool weather will fool you into not hydrating enough so DRINK when exercising outside. Keep the blood nice and thin so it won't create greater turbulence around the newer plaque, which can break off and cause a heart attack. The older plaque is more stabilized and less likely to come undone.

Sleepless night in Seatle so to speak. Chilly outside about 33 but very windy. Seasonable cold for weekend and next week. Snow for mountains not much here. The first weekend of Feburary looks somewhat wintery then another warm up. That pesky SE Ridge will not go away. No bathroom work yesterday or today tile man comes Monday. Mostly hope everything checks out ok

Yea, the wind has been strong here.

I was wishing for another frozen day, to let me drive easily over the top of soggy fields and muddy gateways. Well I got my wish, but nature slightly overdid things. A cold wind has been blowing here too and helped the frost penetrate deep last night. Now I'm struggling to find liquid style water for the sheep. Looks like once I have warmed up and had some breakfast, I will have to resort to bucketing water from inside the house. Less than a month now and I will be able to say goodbye to the ewes for a short while when they go away for lambing. Looking forward to a week of Sheepless in Seatle.

36 with high winds today. Lake effect snows from Ny. Causing flurries reaching all the way over here. More cold coming.

   / Good morning!!!! #54,431
33 this morning, 26 degrees cooler than yesterday morn.

Still windy, but not like yesterday. I parked the Tundra behind the barn yesterday to get out of a bit of the wind while washing it in the nice 63 degree sun. Only going to 48 today.

Just cleaned out the woodstove, so getting ready to fire it back up for what looks to be a long spell...see some snow flakes on the weather forecast icon for Sunday night.

Yesterday, finally settled with the other guy's insurance company who rear-ended and totaled my old 4Runner back in May. I hope my own insurance company wouldn't treat someone I hit the way his company has handled my case. Many people shop for car insurance for the best price, but service and reputation should be just as important.

Back to working on taxes once I get home from the gym.

29F now strong gusty winds at times low 30's for high.
Looks like winter may return to normal this weekend.

Friday :dance1: leave work couple early get pickup load grit for icy driveway.

Enjoy the day all.

45 out this AM. Today is stick pickup day. With the big trees around the house, the wind always makes new burn piles. LOL.

wngsprd, good for you on the wash, I missed the opportunity yesterday. Whine on my part.

On the accident front, I have to go to the insurance claims department for them to see me. They will not come out to see my car. So now I lost more time on this, and it was not even my fault. More whining on my part.

I totally agree with wngsprd on the service and reputation part, and this is a national company. I have had to call them three times since the accident. They for some odd reason, just never reached out to me. I bet if a lawyer was involved, I'd get better and faster results. Sheesh...

Anyway, have a great day all. Be safe.

33 right now, and that's about the high today. Shower showers are in the forecast...maybe an inch or two.

My wife's birthday was Tuesday, the 24th...I had to work that day. So, I took today off to celebrate her birthday. We'll definitely do dinner out (if she wants) and go where ever she wants to go today.

a much cooler 34 going up to 54 today, and then no precip in the forecast for a week. Am glad I got my dormant spray on for the orchard yesterday like Wingsprd washing his truck, tried to make most of warm but windy day.
must have been on my feet too much because had leg cramps, fronts of leg/shin, and wound up in the shower at 2am spraying hot water on my legs. Hot tub would have worked also, plan on getting in that today and staying off my feet. But I can truly and happily say my neck feels better so I'll take what I can get.

am excited thinking about my nut trees on order. Was thinking of a little sign for the end of the lane called Terrapin Orchards, with little pics of apples and peaches on one side, nuts on the other, and of course little turtles running around on the bottom. I have zero artistic ability, less than zero, but I planted the seed, no pun intended, with my talented BIL who did my avatar here, hopefully he will draw something for me, then I can take it to a sign maker who uses one of those CNC type cutters to make the sign. Nothing like putting the cart before the horse, right?
Considering my total output so far has been one apple. Just one apple. But oh boy was it delicious.

have a great Friday and Happy Birthday Mrs. Roy!

   / Good morning!!!! #54,436
Good morning! 36˚ heading to only the mid 50s. Whipper was really on patrol barking half the night. The coyotes must have been really close but I was too tired and cold to get out of bed to assist her.

Now they are predicting snow flurries!!!!:cool2: but with no freezing temps, so they are just teasing.

Too much hand work on the trail is causing shoulder/arm pains at night, I might need a nap later.

Have a good Friday, and a good belated birthday Mrs. Roy.
Good thing about the Morning thread I don't have to look at my phone to see what day of the week it is.

Mostly Gas, you will probably blow them away on your test since you keep your heart exercised on that bike.

   / Good morning!!!! #54,437
Just poured first cup of coffee. 42° with a clear skies and a cool north breeze. Heading to 56° with lots of sun and continued breeze. Last day of cool weather. Take wife to visit clinic again today. Supposed to have a plan for treatment. We hope.
Roy, another Birthday wish for your wife.
Drew, The Nutty Professor. :D
Don, don't quit now.
Mostly, test should be a breeze with all the riding you do.
Riptides, have you reported the accident to your insurance company. They should be making things happen with other company.
Good Morning All.

....Riptides, have you reported the accident to your insurance company. They should be making things happen with other company.
....

No, since I was not at fault, I'd rather not, but I am sure the other party made an inquiry. My insurance company is OK, but man they have a bureaucracy when it comes to claims and accidents.

I will inquire with them, anyway, later today as another matter has arose on coverage issues.

The other insurance company said, drive it in, we will look at it and give you a check. So, I will start with that. Hopefully they get the dollar figure, right. I kind of know what I am looking at and for.

Don't forget to ding them for lost time from work and all other costs.

Temp here is a balmy 22 going to a high of 25F Snow in the forecast for today. Good!

27°F and partly cloudy this morning, going up to 34° today.

Walked out of work yesterday evening to find it snowing. Surprise! No accumulation, but my car was lightly covered.
