Good Morning, 28 outside. Beginning the trek for visiting old friends in a few.

I look forward to 2017, and unlike most, I think I will not participate in healthy eating habits this year.

Good morning. Temp is 8F and no wind. But the powers that be also say the temp is to go to 23 and snow. We will see.

27 high of 49 later today much better after cold snowy and blustery day we had yesterday. 2016 is almost done 2017 is just about here. Hopefully 2017 will be a great year good health for all with no tragedies or loss of loved ones. Getting ready to leave for short trip down south just better half and I should be great fun

23 heading up to 52 but windy again. We got some of those snow flurries here yesterday, too.

I've got some wood to split today, and may cut some more. Try to get some of the outdoor chores done before the 2 day rain forecast to start tomorrow night.

You can tell the New Year is near...the ad over to the side of this page is for Weightwatchers. They must have been reading about the standing rib roasts and turkey dripping . Also, the gym I go to at the YMCA nearly every day gets very busy every January with many good intentions. I hope many will stick to it.

I'll give some thought to making a few resolutions today. No doubt I have lots of room for improvement.

good morning all on the last day of 2016. Survived another one...:thumbsup:
And best wishes for a healthy new year with plenty of seat time.

25 going up to 55 day, clear and cold. That will all change tomorrow with several inches of rain possible early next week.
time to man a mop...did the porch yesterday, cheated a bit and didn't do "around the corner"but the one run is over 50 feet so that gave
me a workout with a big commercial wet mop. It's nicely painted porch grey and is so pretty when it's cleaned off.
Today I clean inside and do the little stuff. Fireplace is made, wood all brought in, going to have a nice fire tonight and
a very casual dinner with hopefully some good food. The guy bringing the home made focaccia also is the guy who has made just killer
brisket for two years of xmas parties I've gone to, so time to feed him something in return. He clearly knows how to cook so I might
put him to work. Make him earn his Jim Beam...

Tomorrow I need to move the travel trailer up to the front parking lot to get it ready for my trip to Florida in two weeks. Might keep a little more heat in it, two radiator style heaters instead of one. Want to get that done before the rain comes and the lawn is still dry to drive on.

just under 7 degrees right now...might see a high in the low 30's (but not above freezing) and some snow showers.

I've actually been up for quite a while, responding to a customer complaint and responding to a couple work e-mails while the coffee was brewing. No other particular plans here, but Thomas's plan for a nice nap might sound mighty fine this afternoon

Drinking first cup of coffee. 58° with light rain. Heading to 60° with partly sunny skies. Yesterday wife's doctor called to tell her all her test came back negative. She will be visiting a Endocrinologist next year. Test show that she has a high thyroid hormone. How that causes symptoms of ALS. We will find out in the near future.
Off to my sisters place to help with last dinner of 2016 this afternoon. Ribs and Shrimp. Glad she lives only 1 mile away. As always we will be sleeping when the New Year arrives.
Eric, you mean remote thermometers have not made it to UK yet? :confused2: They work well on any type of cooking from Induction to Wood.
