txdon, very nice, that looks way better than any standard golf cart. ... Does it have whipper's approval ?

Good morning! 44˚ cloudy.

Whipper was scared of the camo vehicle when it was on the trailer but once I backed it off she had an expression like "OH wow a golf cart." She make excited little barks and started running in circles and taking off down the road like she was saying come on let's go, let's go. Then she just ran and ran with a big smile as I took the cart on it's test drive.

The AC motor did not fade a bit as it went up the long hill on the driveway, so I guess they were right with the twice as much HP claim.

Sadamo, it's always good to get multiple discounts especially when not expecting them.

One last pic.

Good Morning. 0735, mostly cloudy, 38F with 70% humidity. Forecast high of 58F with no chance of rain today, and a low of 42F tonight. Another warmer than forecast morning, so no frost.

I'm doing pre-cleaning lady cleaning this morning. Now that the holidays are over, I hope she can stick to her schedule for a while. It makes it easier to plan my week if I know she is coming or not.

I don't have a customer at work tonight, but I'm going in to water the lobby plants and set up for tomorrow's logger training. Also a chance to take Margie to supper.

You guys have a good one,

Larro

txdon, glad your dad is doing good and Whipper approves the new golf cart.
Drew, hope the tooth removal goes well.
MFW, good to hear from you and all is well.
Roy, +3 is still cold. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
David S, new lawn tractor and fail mower. Should make lawn care easier.
KevT, have a safe trip.
Good Morning All.

Rswyan, Our local weekly newspaper holds a pet photo contest once a year. I think you should enter the pic "Bowl of Squeak". You could win! It definitely beats the little dressed-up dogs.

Had one of those onceinalifetime experiences today.

Having decided that my wife needed a new mower to replace her 10 yo, beat to death Craftsman tractor, I researched via Internet as is my custom. When we went to town yesterday, we decided to visit Sears to check them out as I ruled out HD and my budget ruled out the name brands. Didn't see anything on the floor and the beleaguered cashier was not very helpful but did say there was only 1 garden tractor in stock at the warehouse, not the one I researched. So we came home with information only.

Spent some time researching and comparing my choices, weighted by available now vs 3 weeks. Bottom line, after reading the reviews and comparing specs I just wasn't sure the added value was there for the machine that cost more and had to be ordered. Wife agreed and we decided to go for the less expensive, in stock model. Further research complicated matters in that I could buy that model online and save several hundred dollars, but be back to the 3 week wait. Decided it was worth another trip to town to see if I could do better.

So off to town early this AM. First breakfast, then be at Sears when they opened. Whereas yesterday there was just a single cashier available, this morning several folks were around, even a guy in the Garden department. Gave him the quick low down on what I wanted, showed him the online info on my iPhone and much to my delight said, "I think I can match that". WOW!!!! Of course they are having computer problems. One of the other bodies removing the Christmas merchandise happened to be his manager. Instructed him to just manually override everything if computer didn't work properly.

Took about half an hour, but got the in stock tractor at the online price, minus the online 5%, free delivery as per online, plus additional 5% military discount. And put it on a mileage charge card.
A very good day :)

Hi David of the moss, good to hear from you! 13ー, going into the 40's today, got to 28ー yesterday.

Good to see you too Randy of the Seashore! Glad you are well!

It is warm in the house due to the wood stove cranking in the basement, and it is sunny outside, and last week I was at the beach in the DR, so occasionally I step out to walk the dog (I'm working from home today) without my coat and RAPIDLY I correct that error!!!

Part of me wants to be out there with my chainsaws as there is no mud, the tractor can go everywhere easily, and the chaps, etc. would not be so freaking hot and sweaty... LOL...

Maybe this weekend... I'm burning wood at a ferocious pace...
Be well,

David

BMW turns lasers into lights and shows a head-up display motorcycle helmet | Autoweek
Kev, be the first in your club to have real lasers on your BMW bike...;)

moved a bunch of sand and ABC stone with the tractor, and then just was going to fiddle with the hand stone rake. Half an hour later my fiddling had done me in but it sure looked better. I ran the water roller for over an hour trying to repair the truck ruts. Some parts need more drying. Back at them tomorrow hopefully before it rains again. Though first a gutter guy is coming at 8am to give me a price on putting gutters on my new shed and also on the ends of the barn shed roofs. Since the whole area is so torn up now, good time to lay some water pipe and run the gutter water underground to the rear or side ditch. I'm going to add valving to the downspouts on the barn to allow me to fill up several water barrels and recycle some water for the gardens and trees next year. I already have the barrels, a 12V pump off a boat and a battery and I'll be ready to pump the water at 3gpm instead of just gravity pressure. That's the plan...

Good Evening! 44F @ 6:15PM. Rain early...then remaining cloudy with showers overnight. Low 43F. Winds SE at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 100%. Rainfall around a quarter of an inch.

The Davis rain gauge continues to report at about 10X actual rainfall. Very amusing when comparing to nearby gauges, but I haven't the foggiest idea what to do about it.

Been feeding the wood stove with termite riddled splits and it burns real nice. Great feeling to fry those little suckers, but I'd hate to see any get loose in the house.

No lasers for me, Drew, especially if they come from BMW and are anywhere near my eyes. I can just see the recall notice now: "Please stop using your laser HUD helmet immediately and return it to your dealer. There have been reports of blinded riders, inadvertent cheek scarring, and unexplained spontaneous brush fires. At this time we have no repair or replacement available, but we'll keep your money until we come up with some more excuses."

Glad to hear so many of you are enjoying good news, even if some of it involves anesthesia. MFW, it does indeed sound like you found a good 'un.

I'm sorry, but I can't help thinking about "fricken sharks with laser beams".

48" Ditch Bank Flail Mower AGL125 - Value Leader Implements

Yea, shipping more than a postage stamp, but almost reasonable - $300 via FedEx. I will pu in town. Shipping cost is always a big part of a purchase decision for me. I haven't found a new flail locally for less than $3K+ and I think that is before shipping and then another 4% excise tax.

David

David, you are a lucky man and it is truly great to hear you having such a good time, although I must confess with your last post I got a little envious. It is fantastic that you have a lovey wife, honeymoon, time with the kids and so much to look forward to, but then you go and reveal you also have no mud, the tractor can go everywhere easily.

I am about to go walking around the fields and no doubt, after yet another night of rain, I will be slipping, sliding and squelching everywhere in the brown stuff, like I did yesterday and countless days before that. The Iseki is now too afraid of sinking down to her belly to leave the hard tracks. My eyes are normally blue, but if I looked in the mirror, I fear there would be a tinge of green. Tractor opportunity envy is a terrible, terrible thing. :D
