We have the Kenmore Elite HE (2006 model). Wife isn't crazy about because she can't trust the timer, but it doe a good job. Other the not liking generator power, I have no problem with it.

Good morning. A yellow sky is reflecting from numerous puddles this morning and the roof is coated with a thin layer of frost that looks more like watered down paint.

MFW, it has been great to hear you bounce back, full of life, these last few months. You are lucky to have found someone who makes you so happy again. Hope you two have a fantastic day and that your happiness continues for many, many years to come.

46 degrees going up to 71 today, warmest day for awhile I bet.
I've been up early, doing wash, making lists of all the things needed to get done today.
Most importantly, time to put the electric candy canes out at the end of the lane. Going to take my cordless drill with bulb auger and drill
some little holes for the stakes, plastic candy canes can't "push" well into soil full of roots...then to run 200 feet of 12 gauge extension cord and light it up, with a timer control added.

The man who is to be wed has some equally nice weather today, 72 and overcast, rain holding off until Sunday and days thereafter, which should put those bonfires out nicely. Good timing David! Looks like WoodHenge there...:D

Morning all.
Heard a 4 wheeler start and drive away. Hope it's the neighbor heading to his tree stand.

Good morning! 40˚ on and off rain today. The Christmas decorations have been taking up valuable space in the gardens centers since the end of September. Maybe I'll decorate starting mid December.

Eric, when do retailers start displaying Christmas items and when do people decorate their homes over there?

50 going to 70. Clouds are moving in since the first time I went out to chase the fox away at 3:30am. It looks to be the start of a beautiful sunrise.

David, hope you and your bride have a wonderful day to start your married life together. Your bonfire piles are so large, I'll probably be able to see the light over this way tonight.

Kev, thanks for the idea on contact cement...I went with Gorilla construction adhesive, which is fast bond and waterproof, but wanted to add extra pressure since there was a little warping in a couple of places. I really like this adhesive, in a caulking tube for $7.

Need to pour second cup of coffee. 52ー with clear skies this morning. Heading to 70ー with mix of sun and clouds. Last day in NC. Sure cannot complain about the weather. Son wants to start a car collection. Bought a 2010 Mustang Shelby with 60 miles on it. Came from a car collection out of Juniper FL. Going to help wax car today. Also viewed a light show at Charlotte Motor Raceway.

MFW, congrats on your marriage.
Good Morning All.

Ron, gorgeous car. I think I'd put over 60 miles on it just test driving it. :)

It rained much of yesterday and the high temp here was 60 degrees...we are headed out later today to view a first run movie with her daughter and two older grandkids then meet up with 3 other couples at a Red Lobster for dinner...it is 30 degrees now. Catch you all later on.

62 here going to 78 with NO rain in the forecast, but dew is really heavy and running off the roof. Not sure what I am doing today, other than NOT going into town. UF is playing FSU today and I think they are rated like 12 & 13th besides state rivalries. All of Gainesville will be nuts!!!

Shelby's are nice cars, I owned a 68 Shelby convertible back in 72. Paid 8 grand for it back then, don't want to know what it would be worth now. I do know that the insurance company didn't pay what it was worth when I totaled it. Oh the muscle cars I owned back then... and now I am happiest on my Kubota.

Oh yeah...I thought about posting a pic or two of my wedding but then all you guys would wonder and comment "why is that beautiful woman marrying such a plain looking guy...."

Never shot a 45/70 but have heard pretty hard kick any truth to that?
Those 44 lever action rifles are sweet

Most of that reputation came from the crescent steel butt plates used on the Winchester lever action rifles that were initially chambered for the 45-70. It was thin and if positioned incorrectly would leave quite a shoulder bruise. A flat shotgun butt plate or a more modern recoil pad makes a huge difference, but letting one loose is still a pretty good jolt. I can't imagine how one could manage more than a couple of shots with this cartridge out of a handgun without developing a huge flinch.
