Happy Thanksgiving! 69˚ before sunrise. Eric you have a good understanding of Thanksgiving.

I went on an hour long road trip with my tractor yesterday to pull Mom's truck out of the mud. The ground is still saturated out here, especially where STANDING WATER is in the field. I suggest a 4 wheel drive if she likes to mudder around. HMMM a muddering mother - that would be fun to watch.

Apple's new El Capitan OS is working on my Apple computer. I had only 1 problem arise - my iPhoto would not open. A pop-up said I needed a newer version. I contacted Apple and they gave me a coupon code for a free upgrade download from the App store and now everything is working like it should, just a tad slower but not much. They stayed on the line till everything was working properly - great support for an 2008 computer.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone. We're having Thanksgiving at our house and entertaining 6 people including my Mother and Father and two couples that are close friends of ours.

This is my wife's first Thanksgiving as a US citizen by the way so it's special for us. She came from the Philippines in 2007. It's also our 10th anniversary of meeting online.

Turkey breast in in the oven...ham is done and all the other stuff will be completed this morning. Wifey, step-daughter, her ex-BF (still friends, but no lovin') and his brother will be here and that's enough.

Good Morning! 40F @ 5:00AM. Sunny. High 53F. Winds N at 10 to 15 mph.

From the sounds of things outside the copter pilots are flying night maneuvers up the canyon again. Third pass of the night, and it makes it hard to sleep.

Headed to a pot luck feast this afternoon about a hundred miles south of here, so yesterday evening was spent snapping green beans, peeling and mincing garlic, and packing an overnight bag. Their lemon tree and a bag or two of slivered and toasted almonds will provide the finishing touches to that dish, and the resurrected K-bike the transportation. Other than a short 30 mile check ride, this'll be the first time out on that machine since I got it running last summer.

Last night I screened an "American Experience" episode about the Pilgrims. Too sleepy to make it all the way to the end, but it was a reminder that the first Thanksgiving was as much a celebration of survival and achieving freedom from religious persecution as it was about being with friends and family. When I look at all the blessings I take for granted, the freedom to believe as I choose and decide for myself are among the most treasured. And as I look around the world, they are also among the most rare.

Happy thanksgiving everyone. We are spending the day on the family farm with 38 of my closest relatives. 4 generations. Yesterday we did a house cleaning. Most will come for the day today.
Farmer, hope your sons hearing improves with the draining.
We ordered New hearing aids for my son at Costco. He tried theirs and really liked them.

We had our dinner yesterday at the Nursing Home that went well and we still brought home lots of leftovers home. Was already to get a phone call from NC about a draft, when another friend called yesterday and told me of a pair of Belgium's in AL. Leaving this afternoon, be back tomorrow unless we detour to NC

RNG, I have a S&W 629 I bought when I was in Alaska as my Bear gun. Has a 5" barrel and kicks like a mule but sure is fun to shoot. So then I had to have a Henry Big Boy in the matching 44 mag caliber, Also have a Ruger Blackhawk with a 7" barrel. I like all of my "Cowboy" guns but favorite is still my 44-40 Taylor revolver and my Henry 45-70 rifle.

56 this morning and headed to 68 today.

Well new dryer is hooked up and running. First time we've had a HE dryer. Also our first new dryer. The others were all used units and this is nice. Talking about going back and getting the matching washer. Lowes has them on sale this month. We both hate our washer. A front load HE so going back to a top load but staying with HE. Think I can fix the dryer and try to sale the pair.

The boy is showing improvement over night. Have always had to ask him several times to do something and it always seemed like he had to figure out what we wanted. This morning once you get his attention he's following simple instructions with 1-2 prompts. Doctor kept saying they drained a lot of fluid yesterday almost like there was more fluid than he expected. His congestion also seems to be less this morning, but doing more coughing. So maybe it's draining.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone. Now off to founder at 2 places today. Her mom's and then my parents.

I was saddened to hear of the 4 servicemen killed at Ft. Hood in their UH-60 Blackhawk crash. The Army Reserve unit based at Austin Bergstrom Airport has a Squadron and they often come to the runway near my home and practice touch and goes, hovering, and such. I sometimes take my kids over to watch as I am a certified Propeller Head without a means. I pray for their families having to endure a Thanksgiving without their loved ones.

Watch out, do some reading, my buddy bought a new HE topload washer and he hates it. It doesn't get the clothes as clean, it won't fill up with water very well. I think he wants to improve it by moving the water level switch if possible. Also says the clothes don't agitate as well.
