going to go low tonight and tomorrow. Chilly!
Removed the outside well water pump yesterday and drained the pipes.
Sure sign of winter and snow coming around here.

41 degrees this morning, going up to 58 on a wet Saturday, rain is headed this way, which is fine with me; we really need it. But wow, in Asheville in Western NC, one to three inches of snow today with an inch tonight. So, yup, old man winter is knocking on the door.

have some errands to run this morning but then it's an inside day. Contractors coming monday to tear up the kitchen floor and the hallway to the garage running off it, so I have to get everything out of the kitchen this weekend. Boring stuff but I'll plug through it. I did get the new kitchen knobs in yesterday so I've been replacing the old white porcelain knobs with new rubbed bronze ones, and they sure look better.

need to ask the sheet rock crew to tape the door of the bedroom. Sheetrock dust found its way out under the door and all over the main hallway. So....for two hours last night I vacuumed and mopped.
So that come Monday they can make a huge mess all over again, but at least the master bedroom has its own outside entrance so they can come in that way and not track through the rest of the house.
But when they put that joint compound on, which they make from scratch themselves, and start sanding, it for sure makes a world class mess. Good thing I bought a case of shopvac filters...

Good morning, 33F heading to a chilly high of 39F. Only got about 7 trick or treaters last night, not a good night for the little people as it was cold and rainy.

Just came down from the shop to get some chow and see the woman off. Worked on the frame and rebar cage for the ballast block last night ... should be ready to pour it later today mebbe ...

Didn't get much done outside yesterday due to the rain ... other than putting away the leaf blower, emptying the leaves out of the Trac-Vac and refilling the bird feeders ... sharpened the chain and filed down the rakers on my nephew's chainsaw ... cuts good now ...

Good morning! Happy November! This is the coldest Fall morning so far with 50˚ on top of this warm 15,000 sun soaked paver hill. Well, sun soaked from yesterday it's still dark. The high will be only a sunny 65˚ the first real jacket day.

There were no Trick or Treaters last night. I had even made some vegan PayDays. Only two ingredients dates and peanuts. Just writing this I see I forgot about not giving peanuts to kids because so many have nut allergies, good thing none showed.

geez, just read about those three kids killed while run over by a car trick or treating. How awful.
On a residential street. Just makes you shake your head some time. And feel sad for some kids who never got a chance. I hope they find the driver.

on a lighter note, for all you gun fans, it looks like Christmas may be something from the gun shop since prices should be dropping due to overstocking:

now NO politics here please, just a fyi for those who are interested.
I like guns too, just certain applications of their usage give me real problems. Let's just leave it at that.
Time to get your haggling hats on and see what the dealer has too many of.
