Did anyone see the exploding space launch? I'm guessing it wasn't high enough to see from afar.

I'm really bummed about it. Not sure why. Maybe because its an open wound that is still festering about trimming NASA down to a small bush.

Orbital Science has a $1.9 Billion contract to make 8 supply missions to the International space station. They are using vintage 1960s Soviet engines that have a history of exploding. Yep, it is pretty sad.

36 right now...high of 50 degrees in the prediction today.
Got a (overdue) doctor's appointment today, so I'm off work...might get that backyard mowed if it's dry enough this afternoon.

I'm avoiding thoughts of tire chains but I suppose it won't be long.

Yeah...I've been putting that off too. Actually, I've cleared snow the last two seasons in some pretty deep snow with no chains...haven't gotten stuck yet (which could be "famous last words")

It will be a good day to mow, maybe with the mulch flap on the mower deck...some leaves have fallen but most still on the trees.

In areas above 2500 Ft, places like snowshoe will see the most. It appears the low will track NW to SE into northern North Carolina then develop off the coast. Not a prime thing for snow in our neck of the woods especially this time of year. Any snow that does fall will melt pretty quickly as ground is warm. Hopefully I answered your question
