Is that a heating system in the floor?

Yes it is three zones of radiant heat. Not too sure when it will be hooked up, but had to get the insulation and pex pipes down before the cement pour.

Wayne. Your home away from home looking good.

Ways to go Thomas, but it sure feels good to have the electric service in and now the floor. Next will be the overhead doors.

Thought that's what the orange lines were in the second photo. Very nice. Never had those before, but understand they work well.

Very windy this afternoon, sunny and 67F today.

I cleaned off the garden today. The frost killed the cucumber vines, the tomatoes could have gone a bit longer but they ripen very slowly in fall. The weeds were something else this year and I got behind on them. Still have the asparagus bed to do but it isn't ready to cut down yet. Still one row of carrots in the raised bed. Sharon pulled a row and froze them today.

beautiful day here too, 63 out now but only going up to 72. Fall has arrived.
Today I break out the powerwasher and see how the siding cleans up, plus I want to clean off the porch.
Actually wish it was a warmer day if I'm going to get wet...which I will. Pretty hard to clean off ceilings and not get wet, though if I go backwards I suppose I could.

42F and clear @ 05:00 ... will be sunny and heading up to a high of 70 later today.

Just came down from the shop ... got hungry ... wife made stuffed peppers yesterday ... and they were weighing heavily on my mind ...

I had to stoke up a fire in the shop with some actual logs ... wasn't doing enough welding apparently ... lol ...

It's pretty darn chilly out there ... kinda humid too ... lotsa dew ...

Dunno if I'll make it back up there after I graze or not ... a nap is sounding kinda good right now ... and will probably sound even better after I eat ... :D

Got steel to pick up later today ... and then make sparks ...

RS, I remembered something interesting....as I have readily admitted, my knowledge of welding is only from a book, a How To book, actually a good one, I have kept in the usual reading spot, in the bathroom next to the Northern Tools catalog.
And i remember reading in there of a warning that went something like: "be careful that welding does not bend or distort the underlying piece, particularly if not secured properly".

Well, it was worded better than that, but your picture could be an illustration in that book.
I admit to being a little hesitant starting to weld, as that book plus many YouTube instruction videos have basically shown me how very very easy it is to screw up. Oh dear, my pool is not advancing properly...:D
Need to find some scrap steel to practice on.

To my delight the prior owner had already run a 220 line to the workshop in the barn, but I'm not sure it will carry enough amps for the welder. I think it needs 37 amps at max. The power pole is thirty feet away with a transformer on it, so not like it will be hard to get more juice into that location. Power company would love me to spin that meter until it overheats. Maybe I'll get one of those old time oiling cups for the meter so as I go by I can give it a shot of oil once in awhile...;)

50 heading to 71. A nice chill in the air.

I found some deteriorated wood on the high section of the older original part of the house yesterday, so rather than caulking, I pulled boards. I have some replacements, but they were at the bottom of a pile of stuff up in the rafters of a shed building. Took two hours removing old broken antique chairs, other lumber, flooring, etc, to get to what I needed...and an incredible amount of dust and mud dauber nest fragments, most of which fell on me as I came down the ladder.

Today I need to measure, cut, stain and caulk, after I get home from a county meeting starting at 7:30am, and then make a side trip to Home Depot.

Drew, I don't think I've ever powerwashed ceilings/overhangs and come away dry.
