You need a can crusher.
Wall-Mounted Can Crusher - BedBathandBeyond.com

Mount it on the shop wall and compress those cans by maybe 90%. If inclined, some guys here have invented hydraulic cylinder contraptions that can really compress a can.

Plan B is to put the can on the ground and stomp on it as hard as possible. Results are almost as good.

Good Morning. 1045, partly cloudy, 88F {104 heat index} with 77% humidity. Forecast high of 89F with 50% chance of thunderstorms this afternoon, and a low of 74F tonight. When I was out picking in the garden this morning before work, I saw that yesterday's storm had knocked over one of the new store bought tomato plants {that I hadn't staked yet}. I propped it up until I have time to do it right. The storm also cost me all but 2 minutes of the pre-race show for the Nationwide race. Both the race and the pre-race were set to record, but all I got was 2 minutes of the pre-race. I was watching golf at work, but it got so bad I turned of the TV.

Speaking of racing, Tony Stewart struck and killed a driver last night at a dirt track in upstate New York. They had got into a wreck and the young man got out of his car and came down the track to confront Tony. He tried to avoid him, but his rear tire hit the man. Please say a prayer for Tony and the Ward family. They are both hurting this morning.

I've been hanging around Ms Cyrus too long...LOL :cool2:

hey, I'm old enough to have done the Limbo Rock...if you remember, that could get interesting at times.

I admire those who can dance. Alas, I have my own neck issues; I am rhythmically paralyzed from somewhere between C1 and C2 on down. Do you recall the Seinfeld episode where Elaine is "dancing?"[/QUOTE]

I read this and after some thought, I don't think I've ever danced, since high school, without the aid of alcohol.... I actually thought I was pretty good - that was probably the alcohol talking!! :)

Btw, I am never, ever, going to twerk!! :)

Absolutely beautiful day here, not a cloud in the sky, a little wind, going into the low 80's.

Had one similar years ago, but handle broke.
Now I do Plan B. Turned in $30 worth last trip, soda, not beer cuz I get my beer in the 5 gal kegs.

When I was a young man there was a family that lived 4 or 5 miles from the Larro Ranchero that had 3 brothers close to my age. They were a ne'er do well bunch, but there were so few young people around that sometimes I would associate with them just to have someone to say hello to. They would pile their empty beer cans in their driveway and run over them with their truck to flatten them. The pile would get almost 2 foot high and 4 or 5 feet wide before they would sell them. The sad thing is it didn't take but a couple of months for the pile to get that big.

2 of the 3 brothers are dead now, and the other one has moved away. But the other day when I was passing the old place, I saw a few young folks sitting out in front of the trailer drinking beer. There was a pile of squished beer cans in the driveway. I guess the next generation is keeping up the family tradition.

81* this a.m. Going to 100*+. Heat Index projected to be 108*-110*. Not much getting done around the place today.

Same here. Church this am, then stay indoors until about 8 pm. Take trash out at dusk. Put trickle hose on young pecan tree overnight. Looks like we won't get any appreciable precip for at least a week.
