I went to bed about an hour early last night so the old body clock got me up about an hour early... Sleeping seems to work fine, but leeping in not so much.

I assume T-storms today, but I'm flying to St Louis this afternoon, so I assume T-storms there too...

Had a good "Play Date" with my baby girl yesterday. Swimming & pizza, and a VeggieTales movie (she fell asleep in my lap, so I let her nap for over an hour) It was as good as my life gets anymore...

Coffee is brewing. 57° with clouds this morning. Heading to 75° with possibility of thunderstorms. Started putting retaining wall back together. Will take a few more days. Got appointments with lawyers and doctors today.

had one of the worst days of my life yesterday. Found my wife half conscious in bed, and utterly confused,
acting like she had a stroke/TIA. Could be a bunch of things, but had to call the ambulance, again.
Heading out shortly to see her, thank goodness she's in our local hospital about fifteen minutes from our home.
Hoping she's better today, or she'll never come home the way she is.

sorry to be a downer, just the way life is. And I really hurt my neck yesterday trying to help her.
Well, have to be a better day today.
Flood watch out, so maybe I'll just curl up on the recliner in the hospital and try to nap the day with her.

daugen; You sure are getting served a lot of trials lately. Prayers that they find out what is wrong with your wife, and that they can "fix" it. Please update us, when you can.

I went to my desk jobs this AM. I got soaked three times in two days this weekend. Half my complex is a mud hole at the farm. And they are calling for more rain this week.

I really have not seen my area this wet ever. I really, really wish, the water would go where others may benefit.

I found out, standing outside this weekend, I will need to reshape some drainage by my "new" pond. It is collecting a lot of "run off" from the rain. More tractor time when the mud hardens.

Daugen prayers for you and your wife and hopefully she will be ok. Raining here on the sunny coast of SC heavy in fact with loud thunder so loud it woke me up high in low to mid 80s low in 70s. Back home could get up to 4 to8 in of rain by Friday oh my. Could be a wet Fourth for lots of east coast. Safe trip down non eventful had some good seafood last night maybe rain will quit long enough for some ocean time

Upper 70's with high humidity this morning, sunny but T-storms in the area. We got a heavy shower that dumped 1.2" in an hour, that makes over 5" since Thursday. We drove around the south Washington beltway yesterday and from the Woodrow Wilson bridge to the Bay bridge we drove about half way with flashers on at 25 m.p.h. Saw 4 wrecks including one about 20 cars ahead of us. You literally could not see 50'. My property has a foot of drop per 100' across the front and a swale that dumps the rear property down to a creek, and most of my property was under water Thursday afternoon! More water than I've ever seen here. On a typical note, I now hear thunder approaching...

However, in the course of life it's an inconvenience not a roadblock.:thumbsup:

good morning got 3/4 inch rain last night more on the way. i guess the biggest surprize is the temps. here it is july and our high temp for the comming week is 78. Drew i sure hope Nadene is ok and hope you didn't pull something loose in the process of helping her. keep us posted. David glad to hear you had some quality time with little one they never forget that. here is proof of that. this is a pic from way back i didn't even know i had my daughter got it from her mom and framed it give it to me fathers day. she is 37 years old now. she was between 2 and 3 in the pic. everyone have a great day

Hot today with a high of 34C/93F, some of that Death Valley heat is making it's way north.
Oh, it will be sunny :sun: :sun: all day long.
On Thursday and Friday I spent several hours grading our road, first with the rear blade and then the box blade, sure is smooth now. Looks like no rain for awhile so the road hopefully will not need grading till the fall.

72F going to a high of 77 with rain in the forecast. replaced a power-vent fan this morning, cleaning on boat, and softball field prep later in the day if we get a dry enough window.
