I have had her work on my older dogs, with pain issues, and have been very happy. Maybe there is a vet that does acupuncture near you, that can help. there's a free/small fee weather site called wunderground.com that I have used for years.
And it has an interesting variety of ways of displaying radar, the radar that is currently showing one big storm front headed North at us.

Thanks for that (works out here too) I had been using that a few years ago but had a hard disk crash and never did recover all that I had. The site collects data from private weather stations which 'enthusiasts' have erected. There are 4 within 10 miles of me although one is a bit of a worry. It lists its height above sea level as -3048metres. I know that area is almost on the seashore.

Still cloudy but not raining at the moment son lost apartment for up coming school year so will spend some time looking for another one. May put furniture in pod while we are looking. New school year starts in mid to late August. Supposed to be more sun tomorrow so maybe some wave riding in the ocean. Lots of rain at home flood warnings and even sink holes but heat will be on for next week. Off for some good seafood

Pretty nice evening last night up at the rooftop bar on my hotel in ST Louis.

Poured rain this morning & I spent all day inside one of those buildings with few windows, can't bring your phone in, etc.

It was just sprinkling when I got out.

Just looked out the window, it is raining still.

Good evening all. Its 77 tonight with 89% humidity down here. I burned a brush pile this morning. Between the fire and the sun, it was plenty hot. Until about 10 o'clock, when the rain put my fire out and cooled me down. I'm clearing out under a cluster of Turkey Oaks in a little five acre wood we have always called The Rough. Between showers I cut small trees and brush from there, starting a new bush pile in the ashes of the old one.
After dinner my handy man came by. We are working on steps for the front porch. He brought some fill dirt, but the rain was too frequent to do any pouring. It is a 50% chance tomorrow during the day, and 100% tomorrow night. The steps may have to wait a few days.

Not weird at all. Years ago my wife was suffering from TMJ. The most powerful drugs would not touch the pain. Someone told her about an old doctor in our small town that did acupuncture. {I was living in Blountstown at the time.} A few sessions with the needles and she was pain free.

Long, long day today... I just MIGHT make it "home" before midnight...

Could not sleep. I emailed the wife yesterday and asked for a meeting to discuss our future. she has agreed to meet only if pastor or similar is there to mediate. I really do not want a divorce. I really would like to begin reconciliation, but I have no hope that this will work out well...

Now I need to do what Drew said and try to be cheerful.

Looks like the rain here in STL has stopped for now.
I should have some good meetings today, had some good ones yesterday also.

Now I need to exercise and get ready for work.

mossflower; It is good that your wife will meet. I also think it good if a pastor is present. It might keep the meeting productive, with emotions, frustrations and any anger in check. It will take productive meetings, to actually get things resolved, so that you both can move forward. Just going back to how things were, would be a disaster, since they got you in this mess to begin with. (Not placing blame on either party, just saying, whatever was before, led to discontent, so things should never go back to being "like they were before".)

I see the meeting as a positive, if you are both willing to truly talk about needs and expectations, and what each is willing to give to make it work.

That's my $0.02. Won't buy you so much as a cup of coffee, but I am pulling for you both.

good morning 67 degrees and trying to rain. we got flood watch thru Friday, I did manage to get the grass cut yesterday the sun came out about 1 pm. looks like a wash out for the 4th no plans to do anything so no problem. Buppies hope that seafood was good wrong season for oysters that's my favorite without the string of course. everyone have a great day

well, I have something positive to report, so I'll check in. After three days in a near coma, my wife woke up yesterday morning at 6am, called me
immediately, asked where she was, why she was there, and when could her breakfast come. the latter told me she was doing fine.
Lot of prayers were answered, I didn't think she was going to wake up, she kept getting worse each day, couldn't talk, and all apparently due to a serious infection that can mimic the conditions of a serious stroke.

I just spoke with her, the nurses had come to give her a bath, and there is a chance she might get released today. And for awhile anyway, I need to get an aide in here for several hours a day. She doesn't want someone 'new" in our home, but I had to put my foot down on this, and my family is all over my case to get help in. I really hurt both my neck and my back on Sunday when she collapsed, and I can't do it any more.
so I've got some good news to report, my sweetie is doing better, if only for a little while, we all know the score, but if she gets home today, that's all I care about. I might even take her directly from the hospital to the garden, she is so curious as to what is popping up. That garden was the best healing/psychological aide for her; focus on the living and the fun and the good. We all have to.

I've been a person of faith all my life, but my faith does not connect the dots between prayer and another person's health. I have always felt that God's calming presence within us helps us deal with whatever comes our way, not so much for healing the physical part, but putting us at ease and helping us deal with what we have to in the most loving manner possible. Many see a direct connection between prayer and healing, and I'm ok with that too.
But I can say from my heart that from my perspective, prayers are love, and love can do wondrous things.

You all have a wonderful day. I was allowed to go back on my previous arthritis medicine today, one month after the operation, and I'm hoping that my body will stop vibrating every time one of these storms come through. Yes, I can really predict the weather, or more accurately, dropping air pressure.

hmmm, three loads of wash, vacuum, better get moving. Slowly, slowly.

Sam seafood was great no strings ha ha woke up to sun this morning no rain or strong winds but flood watches in effect for later in day. There will be a 4 th fly over at one tomorrow and a big fireworks display at ten pm tomorrow night in Murrells Inlet. Wife and son may be able to get a round of golf in today. 71 degrees this morning going up to 84 and ocean is warm. Back home still have flood watches out with 2.5 in of rain yesterday. Might even get to ride bike today. The Fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays

Drew, as you say, prayer doesn't guarantee outcomes we want. I always ask for the best outcome, many times that isn't the favorite outcome.
