Good morning all, getting ready to marry off my oldest son today. Poor fellow.;)

If you marry him off to my ex-wife, "poor fellow" is a given....

Had a blind date last night with a woman I met online...drove 45 miles to meet her in Flint...different city, different restaurant, different situation and setting...it was really fun, after spending four hours together we decided we were a reasonably decent match...so you may not see me here much here for a while, not that you did see much of me here recently (insert inane laughter here) ....bye, guys.

61 going up to mid eighties on a beautiful summer Saturday. Yeah.

Buppies, I'd have loved to go to that car barn with you. Grew up with an older brother who worked his way through college
working at a local service station, while I worked the graveyard shift at our local paper bag company.
First a 100-4 in the garage, never ran... then a 100-6, then finally a TD that someone had sort of restored so at least it ran.
Girling brake fluid all over the floor, everything leaked, SU's or Strombergs never synched right, Lucas, the King of Darkness ran true to form, and my brother finally tired of the adventure and got a "real" car.

David/Sodamo, fascinating, thank you. I once priced those Rolls batteries for my old Bertram, two banks of basically 8D's except they were 8V batteries for a 32V DC system. The Rolls were almost triple the other batteries, but were the only batteries that would actually last ten years in service if taken care of, smart charged, etc. Perfect justifiable expense on a long term install. I would get three to four years out of the less expensive Interstates btw.

You know why the English drink warm beer? Lucas makes refrigerators too..

Daugen still have a 73 TR-6 leaks a little but not to bad. This car show was for the new F Type Jag and it is one sweet ride handles like a dream gets 30 mpg and 0 to 60 in 4.7 seconds wow. Sam my 66 Fairlane was a 390 GT red in color black interior miss that car. I still like a fast car probably will never grow up. Got grass mowed and weed eated more to do tomorrow and looks like storms are going to creep back into forecast and heat to by midweek. Sam hope you made it back from Lynchburg ok and daugen hope you and wife are doing better each and every day. Good evening all

Daugen my cousins restore British Sports cars for a living and for two years helped them. Worked on MGs Austin Healys Triumphs Old Jags learned a lot some partial restorations some full. One in particular a TR3 was really something special also a RollRoyce 1947 ground up is really special to. That car is used in a lot of local weddings. One little trick they use is silicone in master break cylinder and in clutch slave cylinders cuts down on problems. Did you know that that Triumph was one of the first cars to offer disc brakes on front as standard equipment? Almost all parts are available for repairs as well

Good one! :)

Sodamo, how far is it to Costco? And what does Sodamo mean?

Costco is 80 miles each way - long way to spend too much money LOL

So Da Mo = 1st two letters wife's first name, my first name, our last name. :)

Good Morning All.

FWIW- My son and I removed our old evergreen shrubs a few weeks back. Had an old ski tow rope which my boy wrapped around the shrub, then he tied it short to the FEL. I had the easy job, raising the FEL and backing up. Slick process, popped those shrubs out root and all.

64 right now and humid...going to be a sticky day, I think The high is 81 with a 20% chance of rain. Well, we've already had the rain....maybe it'll dry up enough to do some trim work.

Saw my first moose today. I was having my first coffee looking out the deck door and there she came...ambling across the backyard just beyond the fence line. Big critter!! I'm assuming it was a female since the moose had no antlers. Sure wish I had my camera handy!
