Good morning!!!!

Good morning. 66 going up to mid eighties and seriously humid and sticky outside.
Well, I'd say by now a fair part of hundreds of dollars of new grass seed has been washed away, and likely
all our strawberries have gotten even mushier from the rain.

Nice to be able to log back in. The last week has been pretty interesting. Three cervical vertebrae neck fusion a week ago, with a piece of my hip transplanted to form new neck discs. And a bunch of titanium and screws. I knew it was going to hurt, but when the surgeon looks you in the eye and says "this is going to hurt", well just to have to suck it up. In the hospital for three days; I think they would have liked to get me out the next day, and I was in no shape whatsoever to go anywhere. Hard collar for six weeks, no driving, what a hassle, and made even more complicated because my wife went back into Fox Chase Cancer Center for surgery the day after I got home, totally unplanned, and likely needs a bowel resection. Just a lot all at one time. All I want to do is escape to the garden, instead of checking and double checking pill bottles and just trying not to hurt.

This too will pass, the sun will come out, the humidity will go away.
I told my friends they were all invited to come pick strawberries, but minimum one weed pulled for each berry.
Seemed like a very fair deal to me...

this morning was the best, and a close friend is driving me down to my wife's hospital for a visit.

Drew, you and your wife are in my thoughts. Hope you heal quickly.

56*F and raining. Today's forecast is a high of 56* and an inch or two of rain. My maters are at a standstill, waiting for some warmth.

Taking the wife to the doctor today, she is getting her droopy eyelids fixed. The lids are affecting her field of vision, so it is time to deal with that. It's supposed to be a minor procedure with just a local anesthetic. She is going to have two black eyes though.

Wish you all a good day!

Humid this morning, a chance of a shower early. Tornadoes in the area last night late, none too bad, they were a little worse across the Bay in Baltimore County.

Got lots to do today, like pickup some beer, got some friends and neighbours coming over this evening.

Just a warm sunny morning here and going to hot and humid by noon. In the last hour, the temperature has risen by 11 degrees.

Drew, it sure seems your medical "plate" is full and overflowing. Be very careful with your neck. Even being careful, my wife was coming down stairs with slick house shoes on and her feet slipped out from under her. When she landed on her butt, the pain was intense and real. Luckily, nothing was disturbed because she was several weeks post-surgery. But, restricting movement and preventing shock is very important to your recovery as is not lifting much over 5 to 10 lb. God bless your wife and her struggles also. A bowel resection is no walk in the park. She and you both will have a subsequent long recovery period. I hope you have plenty of family and friends to help. Don't be afraid to use help if it's available and maybe look into getting some home cleaning help for a few weeks. You can tell from the posts that you have lots of concern and prayers from your TBN family.
