We have our yard sort of divided into different areas. The immediate front we do with a push mower and weedeater. I did the dogs area yesterday. Then we have about 6 acres fenced that we do a combo of my tractor/flail and the wife's craftsman or Skag. Then I have areas outside the fence I like to keep open, along the drive, and a perimeter strip with the flail. The challenges of retirement. LOL

Good evening all. Low was 40F got to 60F cloudy with intermittent rain. Got the rest of the lawn mowed, was wetter than I like to mow but forecast was not encouraging about when I might mow.

67* and a bit muggy. I love it, since I have been more than tired of the cold! Supposed to get close to 80* today. Of course, they have taken our rain chances pretty much out of the forecast. :confused3:

If you can find a big enough jug, come next door to Louisiana and we will gladdly fill it up. This spring all it wants to do is rain. Not just spring showers, unless you call three inches at a time a shower. Anyone have plans for a 3pt mount for an outboard motor?

I would really enjoy being able to transfer some of the (censored) rainfall that has been coming down here to your area...grass is growing like crazy but it never dries up enough to mow. Yesterday I devoted much of the day to helping my brother load and haul junk furniture from his rental properties and storage unit buys to the dump. Weather is supposed to clear up and be in the 70's in a few days. YAYYYYY.

Light frost this morning, 37*, clear and calm now and on its way to 60*. This is the first stretch of nice weather we have had in a while.

I transplanted a half-dozen asparagus plants yesterday, never tried that before, so we'll see if it takes. Last fall I transplanted two rhubarb clumps. One was pretty big so I cut it in half with the shovel to make two plants. All three have new leaves now, that's encouraging.

I'm heading to the hardware and grocery stores this morning once the coffee has kicked in all the way.

good morning everyone 50 degree's got rain comming for next 4 days. the apples are in bloom had frost yesterday morning so i guess there gone. i didn't think they would bloom as cold as it's been. everyone have a great day

Yep, he averages a mouse a week. A bit worried this morning he did not show up, I hope he did not become part of the food chain out here. I'm hoping he is sleeping and digesting his mouse somewhere.

its 47 and sunny warming to 69 today,it was beautiful yesterday working in the yard.its going to take a while for the ground to dry out.

68 degrees and HUMID. Forecast calls for a high of about 83. Looking for rain, but they have been saying that for days, and it has not materialized. Let's hope they get it right today.

I have just been handed my instructions for the day. Planting two trees (Burr Oaks), fencing around them, and installing some fencing around a new landscaped bed. Fun times.

59 F and cloudy here this morning. The air is very still and heavy. They say a 20%-30% chance of rain, but I'm thinking that's a 70%-80% chance we won't get rain. I may be watering my garden and some new grass later if the wind doesn't kick up.

Cloudy with showers or light rain, high of 16c/61f. Picked up my new back blade yesterday, if we get a bit of rain it may be a good time to try it out.
