Drinking lots of hot coffee. 32 degrees with clear skies this morning. Heading to 69 with lots of sun. Was not ready for this cold of a morning. But it looks good for rest of the day. Going to enjoy some of the tourist things in TX Hill Country.
Good Morning All.

29 F here this morning and going to the low 60s this afternoon. It's gonna be a banner Valentine's Day. Got my wife a big bouquet of roses yesterday and a big box of candy. She deserves it all the time, but especially over the last two weeks she has been very attentive and kind while I recovered from my near-pneumonia.

Ron, you might see another dip tonight. We even have a chance of a light dusting of snow late tonight. I keep thinking that February will turn on us. If it doesn't March might be a booger of a month. Then again, maybe I just need to plant my garden and quit worrying.:)

Good Morning! 40˚ to 60˚ clear skies.
David, those pc clog up all the time, apples are good - go veggie.

Sorry Don, I am not and never will be a fan of Apple. I preferred DOS where I could TELL the computer to o what I wanted, not what Jobs or Gates thinks is the way to do it.

I hate how dumbed down our compute devices have become... I hate all the apple-like stuff in Windows too. Last good GUI was X-Windows from Xerox...

I hate it when the computer tries to think for me, or will not allow me to do something, like HAL in 2001 "I wouldn't do that Dave"...

Apples are VERY pretty, and great for people who never want to do more than run the APP for whatever and browse... Frankly, I view most windows systems about the same way now also.

I actually know how to design and build these things, and I know what I should be able to do with them.

Such is life...

Just my 2 cents, I'm bashing BOTH Windows and Apple here. Please do not feel picked on.

David you are right about being over simplified which makes it complicated to figure out which level to dummy down to when doing something different.

Mostly_Gas,

I've been a computer hardware guy for over 30 years, NONE of them are as amazing and awesome as their marketing/hype proclaims.

I view a computer as a tool. I buy something standard off the shelf, not the lowest, not the highest, but a good deal, and then I run it to death. I never do upgrades that cost $$$. In fact I've quit buying desk tops, I'm buying laptops only.

When it dies, I junk it and buy another one. I work in the computer industry, and every company for the last 30 years used PC's not Apples. The current company allows both, but you have to buy your OWN mac or iPhone etc. they will provide a PC Laptop. Given that Macs cost more, and I use a PC at work, I buy PC's which means I run windoze...

Sorry for the long answer...

David....we only buy laptops now...we do use separate keyboard and mouse...wireless for when we are at home or the office. We backup to an external hard drive and if the laptop goes...we just go get another on sale...

Hello Dave about two years ago I switch over to the IMAC and then progressed to an IPAD for traveling and finally last year to the Iphone, oh and I also have an ITOUCH for music (bought it before the Iphone). But, I still run windows in the background with the IMAC as I have everything for my database on windows along with my accounting program. I have word and Excel that run on the IMAC, but some of the older files I have run best on windows based programs. I will say this though the only time the IMAC (three times) has hung up was when I was running in windows on the computer. As for the IMAC I guess I was sold on the screen size and the agent lives in our town and did all of the setup plus installing all of the software. Real benefit for sure.

25 degrees right now with a high of 43 predicted. That should take care of most of the snow.
Looks like the last warm day for a while though...high temperatures will drop to the 20's over the weekend, into next week.

Well, the sellers finally signed the contract. I'll be having an inspector in the house Monday afternoon and a septic system inspector in later in the week.
