Got my cup full of coffee. 30 degrees with clouds this morning. Heading to 43 with mix of sun and clouds. All the fall chores are done. Working on hobby projects that keep me busy during cold weather months.

34 F here this morning and going into the 60s this afternoon. I've gotta get my work done early this afternoon so I can go to my grandson's first basketball game at 5 PM. He's in the 7th grade, and this is his first organized team sport ever. He's very excited and very nervous. I don't know if he'll play much, but I want to go and support him.

Yesterday got the last bed of garlic planted, works out to about 980 in total.
As well got in a bit of seat time and hauled out a few firewood logs.
This morning taking in our last batch of meat birds for the year in for processing.

How do you sell your produce? Do you have a website? Just curious, I have been thinking about doing some berries, but the farmer's market thing here is a bit limited. And pick your own doesn't seem to work here, most folks want it already picked.

Congratulations on the new job. Getting an interview is hard enough but actually landing a job in this day and age is impressive.

But it is COLD in Vermont!

I hope the hiring package package included a couple of Vermont stoves to keep you warm. :laughing::laughing::laughing:

Not too cold here this morning. I don't think it was in the 30's. Yesterday it was freezing and we had rain the night before. When this happens the doors on the truck and freeze shut and they did.

We had to start a fire in the stove, sorry, not a Vermont unit, a couple of times this week. Old Man Winter is slowing moving into my area of NC.

We have built up a customer base over the past 12 years. One neighbor sells about 12-15 dz eggs for us a week at her place of wrok, 16 dz go to a retail bakery and then the rest to other neighbors and acquaintances. We sell about 45-50 dz eggs per week. Our 4 sides of beef are long spoken for and I'm looking at getting 3 calves so I have 5 sides to sell (we keep one). The garlic is the same, our established customers took the bulk of them. I do have one neighbor who does a lot of successful marketing through the internet, there are 3 Craiglist type sites up our way. People do appreciate how nice and clean our place is, all our animals only have one bad day.

Coffee is brewing. 21 degrees with clear skies this morning. Heading to 48 with sunny skies for all daylight hours. We have a south facing sun room that is all glass. I like sit out there on days like today. It will be 85 + degrees with all the sun today. Doing my thing these days without worries of needing to get something done before bad weather sets in. Put snowblower and blade install on back burner. Hoping that there will not be enough snow to need them this year.

22 degrees here now, supposed to get as high as 50 later today. Took one of the cats to the vet yesterday and will take another today. Know what, the last kitten I adopted didn't really have any major health issues but his neutering and all the shots required plus the annual 6 months of Revolution treatment every year have added up to vet bills of over $850 since mid-2010. Today's visit will add another $100 or so to that total....not griping but it surprises me how much a "free" kitten has cost.

Too late for that! Once I'm really awake, I'm awake for good. Besides, I've already had one cup and going to get my next one...

I will do elderberry, olive leaf, oregano oil on the natural side, Zicam & Umka on the natureopathic side, and I will go outside and do something in the sunshine for some virtamin D. Really it is a very minor cold, more of an annoyance. Biggest risk is I used to sing Bass in the Church Choir, and we do a big patriotic Church service for Thanksgiving, and I am reading and singing for it, so I need my voice.

I'm working from home today. I also need to clear some leaves off my trails for tomorrows opening of rifle deer season... I need some ability to sneak up on them...

25 degrees this morning coffee is hot, wood fire getting hotter and of all things Brettin Woods and Loom Mountain ski resorts open today! Sure sign that snow will start blowing soon. Actually they are making most if not all of the snow on the. Hill! Third day of riffle season and my record holds tight, zero sightings!

LOL that is quite a cup David, a couple of those and I would be up for a week! I have the troopers show up in the cove this afternoon, their fall drive around the island get sea time thing and as there is noone around they stopped in for a nice 3 hour visit but I had a little too much coffee and am still buzzin and they left 12 hours ago lol

Wish I could just go outside for that vitamin D, our sun is so low angle right now even all 7 hours of sunlight doesnt give any, not complaining tho it is nice to be in wind down mode, all the gear is on the beach and just putzing around taking care of projects for a while.

Good luck on opening day, watch out for all the yahoos who shoot at any noise they hear, pretty amazing thread about that guy in Maine being shot with a 3006 in the chest, walking to his car and driving away to call for help, wow!

Got 1,000 business cards delivered today for my car valeting which I shall distribute over the weekend to hopefully bring in some business.

I'm very impressed with the quality, they are worth the money paid.

I will perhaps post a picture of one later if you guys are interested.
