Well today certainly was a hot and hazy one. Had a nice cookout with the family and generally milled about. Suppose to cool off later in the week. I certainly hope so as this humidity just knocks me out.

I saw 98 on this indoor thermometer at 3 pm and the sensor was in the shade. Local record for May 28 was 96 degrees set in 1874 wonder if this will be enough to set a new record? They take the official readings about ten miles away.

I saw 111F this weekend, the official temp was around 95in the city or 91 at the airport.
You won't see any records. I don't know why.
My thermostat is in the shade on the north side of my garage 20" down from the gable. It's within 1 degree of the low temps given in my area in the winter as crops are critical, but the highs....not even close.

Same here. I went through 4 t-shirts today and my jeans were soaked almost to dripping and all I was doing was building fence and digging ditches...

The humidity just wipes me out. I never knew my face could sweat that much...

Did not sleep well at all. Cramps in my leg rudely woke me up...

I think it will have a chance of T-Storms today, but I will be in my truck driving or sitting at the customer until evening.

72 now, should see 90 today.

Doctors appointment at 7:30 then going to play hooky from work (actually take a day off, which I never do) waiting for the results. Plan on doing some house work, even though I got most of it done yesterday. Husband laughed when he opened the fridge and said, "didn't know it was in need of a cleaning, but it looks amazing". Maybe I will go through winter clothes and get a box ready for donation, yeah, that sounds like a plan.

Only cooled off to 73 here last night ....

Big line of strong thunder boomers stretching from the southwest to the northeast about an hour west of us .... and headed this way ....

The lawn and plants sure need the rain .... my projects, which are in various stages of completion, could hold off a little longer though ....

But it don't look like that's gonna happen ....

At least I got time to load up the mini-ex before it starts.

Mid 70's now going to 90 again, officially 91 yesterday at the airport which is across the field from my back yard, I had 99 in the shade at noon.
David, if you work and sweet in high humidity alternate water/Gatorade every half hour, no more leg cramps.

You need to boost your potassium intake when you sweat a lot.

Yup...they said the high locally was 83 yesterday I cannot figure out why the difference. You are right they are a lot more accurate with cold temps than hot.

Good morning all. Decent looking day with a mix of sun/cloud. Plan is to plant our potato's and a few other veggies. Then it looks like mother nature will water them for the next 3 days.

Late start here. Didn't sleep well last night. We put the ac on for the first time, always takes me a day or 2 to get used to it. I have a meeting tonight with a potential renter for part of my wife's building. Not as much $$ as I wanted, but every bit helps. And I won't need to put a lot of $$ into it, so it's all good.
