Sitting on the Vermont porch with Kathleen, having a nice glass of chilled white wine ! Looks like a possibility of a shower, and we missed any sunset that may have happened because of the heavy clouds !

Ted, that sounds like a very good plan !
Lots of Queen Ann’s Lace out in the field !
Going to grill some burgers, beer battered fries, and some beer battered onion rings for dinner. Then camp out on the couch and get the knee elevated.

Good (Thursday) morning. Overnight Low of 3.2C and it's presently 12.6C, overcast with gusting wind. It's currently raining, off and on... I'll check the gauge tomorrow as the precipitation only lightly started around 0800.

Yesterday's 'trip into town' was successful... the wine faeries dropped of a couple of cases!

I did attempt to stain the worn patch on the french door but the stain that I had was the wrong colour. I'll need to get a more matching one. At least the brass door 'push plate' has been ordered, all that needs to happen is for the bank to deposit the funds into their account.

I've got an evening meal/meeting to attend. Hopefully home by 2100.

The heavy rain finally stopped near to suppertime and I had one very wet Tom Tree Kat come in. He hates the rain, but likes his food. He dried himself off in my closet and now is pestering/teasing the dog.

Good job on the bunks, Scotty.

Reminds me of some history. We had just bought a house and in need of furniture. Aaron was about 10 and wanted bunk beds. Some of you may recall a place called “This ends up” which had wood furniture styled after shipping crates. Tight budget. I ended up building 3 sets of bunks, a dresser and book case. 3 sets as that allowed them to be configured in L shape. I built them with craftsman power tools in my in laws’ garage and driveway. Today, 40 plus years later and Aaron still has the dresser and bookcase and we still have the bunks. I reconfigured into King headboard for the Cottage.

Made coffee to start day, Men's meeting, bike ride, mowed back and front did take cool down breaks. No Nap

Coffee taste very smooth this morning. 57° with partly cloudy skies. Heading to 76° with mix of sun and clouds. Never got to yard and shrub cleanup. Drizzle until lunch. Then mosquito's were on the attack. Back on the list today. Spent most of the day on back porch relaxing. After grocery shopping in the morning. May find time to mow grass today.

Good morning all,
65° now foggy highs in the low 80’s and cloudy with scattered showers today. Winds S 5-10 mph. Dew points in upper 60’s all day.

A big Kubota with a boom mower came buy and trimmed the roadsides, most really needed it. Dump run yesterday was interesting, watched the trash hauler loading an open top container of “cardboard“ miss the rails and dump the whole container on its side, ooops! At least it wasn’t garbage lol. That and picking hornworms off the tomato plants was about all the excitement around here.

Hornworm patrol this morning when daylight comes. No other plans for today just putter around.

I am sure that mud has a good smell. The link I posted has products that helps to get rid of muck. At onetime fountain had algea that turned to muck. I need the filter for things like leaves that fall in my pond.
I have found most of the items at Pond Guy on Amazon and other sites.

like Ron I got the coffee mix right this morning, just the right amount of 2% milk and one teaspoon of sugar.
stopped the fake sugar, apparently it's worse for you
only the first cup gets the sugar, thereafter just black with a little milk.

my method of coffee making would make the pros blanche.
half asleep, pouring coffee right out of bag, no measure, that looks high enough
on the paper filter...
I really need to start mixing decaf in with the morning grind.
most decaf is pretty awful and made with nasty chemicals.
any recommendations on ground decaf?

will shower and shave and then pack the rv. Not much to pack for one night.
really just trying to exercise it to make sure everything still works.

cloudy in the 80's here today, unfortunately will be raining in DE, though not heavy.
friends picking me up at 3pm at campground, Homestead in Milton DE.

just taking my time, determined not to rush around, as usual...
did most of my packing last night so just have to move a few clothes and food to rv.
And load in the address in the Garmin.
I am going to take my Ipad with me to try out rv weather on the go software as I drive.
It has its own connection, want to see how it shows the rain I'm driving in to.
I need to vet this real time weather before my trip. One screen for nav, one for weather.
(which is just like in a boat, except for using radar)

I think the weather software has different color coding, so if one is driving into an area with stronger
winds, the color changes. Sounds good, hope it works. Unless weather is terrible I'm going to keep going anyway,
but nice to be informed and prepared, slow down, etc.

coffee's done, time to get a move on.
