Need to pour first cup of coffee. 44° with mostly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 60° with rain and thunderstorms. Snow is gone except for piled snow from clearing drive and walkways. Hope get some branches picked up around yard today. Lots of animal movement overnight. Ground around feeders has been cleaned up down to bare grass.

Off to a Dr appointment. My blood pressure med has been recalled. Need a new prescription. Pharmacy needs a new prescription. Primary care Dr. wants a recommendation from Pharmacy on what to replace current Med with. :mur: Got me confused. That's all right I guess. Going to visit Cardiologist today. Hope he knows what to prescribe.

Happy pi Day!

It's 63°F here and front with a few rain drops went thru about an hour ago. Forecast says 75°F and sunny this afternoon.

I'm planning on spreading some fast green-up fertilizer on the 9 acres around the house and finish the application of pre / post emergent herbicide, while grass is wet this morning.

Bulk diesel tank filled yesterday and 1000 gallon propane tank got filled on Wednesday.

The bulk diesel guy asked "how do you keep all your equipment so clean with all this mud". I laughed and told him it was a long story, lasting many days.

Hoping for an excellent pi Day and Friday Eve for everyone.

Our lunchtime meal is usually a sandwich, or when the loaf of bread is past it's best, a toastie, which is just about my skill level. Over the last couple of weeks I've attempted to make these slightly healthier, eliminating processed meat. The thin slice of ham on a cheese toastie has been replaced by spring onion for me and sun dried tomato for my wife. Slices of apple and red and yellow peppers are also making a more regular appearance on the plate. Is that worth half a no-brownie point Don ?

Half point given, for full point add hummus and add another point if the hummus does not contain added oils. Add another point for whole whole grain bread and Yes, we are talking a 4 point sandwich!!

Good morning! 62˚F heading to the 70s clear skies wind from West at 5mph. Perfect weather.
A few chores to do for Mom and trail blazing if I have enough time.

The organic Gardens greenhouse plants are ready to be transplanted and "They" say our last frost is 3.15. Drew to calculate the value of your greenhouse our green house is selling the transplants at $1 each - herbs and vegetables. Almost time to start thinking about an irrigation system.

Good Morning Everyone!!!!

A cloudy 34ºF was the low for today and holding. Today’s high ~50ºF. A slow day bird counting so far. I believe the birds have more things on their minds than eating.

…. does the that description fit anyone on this thread? -RonJH- I think it applies to a select few, but they all appear able to responsibly handle their canes and probably would have been proactive shoppers. Hopefully tomorrow I’ll be graduating to a cane. With my crampon tipped cane I’ll be able to hold my own.

Phil- I hope your furnace problems are resolved and good luck with the nasal surgery.

…. I'm not one to dilly dally when it comes to groceries, and I've had people jump to get out of the way…- RNG. I do try to avoid the shoppers talking to themselves or to the shelved foods, but aside from them it’s d@mn the old F@rts………. Full Speed Ahead.

RonJH- Good luck with the “safe” med replacement. I take Losartin(sp?); it is one of the meds ID’d as “unsafe.” I think all the tainted meds were “Made in China.”

An old friend of mine sent me a packet of Hatch pepper seeds, said I'd like them, and if I was in New Mexico, that's what would go
on my burger. So I'm going to plant them today, for the greenhouse. I can't eat hot peppers due to GERD but he said these were mild.
His idea of mild and mine are universes apart though. I'm guessing they are like Poblanos from a heat rating. Mild Green Hatch peppers.
The last thing I needed was more peppers, already have hundreds of plants growing, but always room for one more.

Hopefully those seeds do sprout into mild peppers, Drew. A coworker of mine in Albuquerque loved chili, and roasted his own to make a wonderful salsa. Except his idea of hot and mine were vastly different; IMHO his would peel paint! The mild chili I would purchase in the frozen food section down there was very flavorful, and though it had some heat, it wasn't lip blistering. But read up on roasting peppers, and peeling them and getting rid of the seeds. A mild chili isn't nearly as hot as a jalapeno. My mouth's watering just thinking about them...:drool::licking:

Good morning to all! Low went down to 26, another light dusting of snow overnight. Wind finally slowed down a bit around midnight, still breezy this morning.

The wind did a bunch of damage across the state, blew a freight train off a bridge, semitrucks blown over, roofs blown off, trees blown over... We had a peak gust of 78 here, a record gust of 103 mph just south of here. Crazy weather...a land based hurricane. Colorado and Nebraska really got the brunt of it, for now....

Hopefully will pick up wifey's glasses today. They didn't call yesterday like they said they would when the glasses would be ready.... I am definitely going to call first before we make the trip today.

Some of you guys are having some nice weather...spread some around ...please?
