Well, me and my lift passed the "first lift test". This was the first time I've set and lifted a vehicle in 40 years, and it was MY lift. I was a bit nervous, but it/we did just fine. The big shop work is now done. Next is hanging/placing the cabinets and putting all my stuff away. I first have to to put together and install a DK2 and front receiver plow on the SIL's truck. This is why I built this shop anyway, right? Will get on that today...

Morning all, 42 going up to 50 and sunny.
Made it through the travels and travails yesterday into Manhattan.

I just did not eat anything until we got home. Long day, left at 9:30 am, got home 9:30pm
With about 30 people in our group, many teenagers, it was quite loud.
No one lost.

Met up with some of my local friends and wife's city friends, Brother and his family showed up as did my cousins.
So my son's band had plenty of support.

Sorry to hear about the club RNG, may father belonged to a smaller club that used to do cross country rides, they were from all over US and got to meet many of them, they rode everywhere until they got too old.

Town inspector just came over to go see the oil burner and have a green tag now. All good.

Took day off to sleep in, knew I would be tired. Not being able to eat before/during trips is quite limiting. Lost over 18 pounds so far in three months.

Be well,

Took a while to clean it off first, pretty grimed up. Battery still showed full, off I went.
I have bike carrier for my Tesla, also mounted on Anhangerkupplung (hi Scott :))
You can carry bikes like that only when it's dry.
Once I saw first pics of your RV with bike on the back, I immediately notice - good for Florida man, will not work here 😁

But other than that - great
really would love to go for similar trip

Good Afternoon Helo,

Neither the BMW Rider's Association nor the BMW Motorcycle Owners Association hold much attraction for those of us riding the older bikes, Paul. Neither do the newer BMW motorcycles. BTDT, and now I have lots of T-shirts to wear for dirty jobs around the house and garage.
Hello beamerist ! ;)
I have third in row R xxxx RT. Started with oilhead already - 1150. Never owned any airhead.

Here in North salty roads have done a lot of damage to older rides
In south EU sometimes can be found really nice looking vintage BMW's. Not sure how they are socializing. IMHO they are not "clubbing".

This is me and the boys in Sardegna:

Mine is grey one
That red one is not with us :ROFLMAO:
Helo, cool that you are working with Ikea. I have assembled a number of their products...tolerances always been very precise.
Actually with their "flat pack" furniture it is not THAT bad.
Engineers be like: If you can't be precise, make error in direction which is good for you. That principle works well with FP furniture ;)
OK, margin is not very wide. Force to be applied on assembley has to from 10 to 20 kg. Roughly. If it's less - connection will not hold together. If it's more - average consumer will take big hammer and will start hammering :ROFLMAO:
But to work in such tolerances is rather easy

Absolutely worst are "transformers". I don't know how you call that items, which could be assembled in different ways
There is no margin for error.
Example: leg&go balance bike. Transformable. Long-lasting. Sustainable.

I am really proud of this product. But it took a long while before it was made "sell-able". Again, I was only supporting producer, which is working with machines supplied by me

We ran into a few sailors in NYC after the concert, my friend and his wife bought them drinks and we chatted with them for a bit.

Were in town for a while and touring around, good kids.

Their ship is a pretty special one:

Parts made from the twin towers.

safe but not sane in Delray Beach FL.
was doing fine til Palm Beach, then it poured and made all four lanes of traffic crazy. I just followed a truck on the right til we got through it.
no lane control here at all, folks flying through heavy traffic trying to do 90, weaving in and out. And I bet half of them don't have insurance.

got to rv campground, site not ready, guy still in there, something about a problem at hospital. I had to take rv across the road to a parking lot and sit for an hour, and when I got back, site still occupied. thankfully they had another similar site, under a tree which is wonderful for shade. Though pretty sure it's going to rain a lot here

friends coming to pick me up in an hour, I will use their small GMC p/u this week.

seems I have arrived in the monsoon season
as long as I'm not driving in it, I don't care.
I used to live down here, the downpours are epic.

On this side of the street, but not on the other side. That was my experience when I lived at 1905 Calais Dr., Miami

Good Morning! 54˚F overcast, chance of rain 10-30% today, North breeze, high today 60˚.

PT later today. One of the test she had me preform was going from a sitting position to a stand up position without using hands. She timed me as I did 5 stand ups and sit downs. My time was 11 seconds. At the end of PT I get tested again to see improvement and I really don't think it's possible to get much faster.

How fast can you do 5 stand ups and sit downs from a sitting position (no hands)?
Not sure I can with good knees. 😂

Good Afternoon Guys,
Oh had to check in after I read Dons last post ! Back in our room after 2 gin and tonics, I love a challenge! 😂
How fast can you do 5 stand ups and sit downs from a sitting position (no hands)?
Well Don , no shoes no shirt no problem ! Stopwatch on the IPhone says just under 8 seconds ! 😁 Truthfully would never have accepted the challenge without the previous drinks !
Honestly , sounds like your doing great with therapy ! 😂
Anhangerkupplung (hi Scott :))
Helo, I wish all German words were so easily figured out ! 😉

Hope all have a great evening! 🙏

Good (Tuesday) morning. Overnight Low of 7.5C and it's presently 20.7C, somewhat overcast but calm.

Pretty much a repeat of yesterday = wood-stacking. I suppose it could go faster if I didn't treat the process like a jigsaw puzzle but I'm sure that 'locking' them into place reduces shifting as the pieces dry. Meh... I'm retired and can afford the time.

That's about it, take care all.
