Dear Scott
Nicht nur heute, sondern jeden Tag wünsche ich dir Glück, Gesundheit und Spaß am Leben !
:)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
For this time of year very warm here: 10°C = 50°F
Almost no rain. Und das ist gut
Busy morning. Visited customer early in morning. He is very friendly but never buys from me. Whatever. Feels lake a bit wasted time with him, but thats part of my job.
Visited dentist. Need couple implants. My insurance doesnt cover this 😵‍💫
But I got feeling that I can and have to spend something on myself.
Made plan, schedule. February next year. Begging of year always are a bit quite, so that will be medical month then to me
Found replacement for electrician. First one admitted he cant follow my needs, will handle over everything Friday. Cringe anyway
Give a ride to kids basketball training. All good there
Dog already is kicking door like SWAT. Wants to go for a walk. That fluffy beast weight 55 kg = 120 lbs. Should listen ;)
Have a nice evening !
Mine appear to be renters.
With the noise issues, if I start whining, it is pretty bad. My occupied houses sit over a few thousand feet from those noise making issues. I cannot imagine what the neighbors abutting the noise makers are going through. This weekend a new mariachi band played until 1:30AM. All this sounds like it is right in our yard, not kidding, that is how loud it is.
When I think about such nuisance I envision a highly directional microphone to pickup the annoying sounds and an amplifier/speaker that returns it about 10-20x. Self adjusting of course, once it was a normal level it would quit.
if you aim the noise back at the source
aren't you going to get a feedback howl? maybe that's good....
had fun with drone. pretty quiet here
new suspension mods did their job, was a much nicer drive.
Hardly luxurious but at least not punishing.
That steering stabilizer allows me to do a little more one handed driving while on cruise going straight. Only mod you can't see is rear sway bar,
1.5 inches thick. Boy was that heavy. This vehicle needs a lot more tire in the front to handle well but since you don't want to subject the inside contents to high g forces, usually that is not a problem. I'm more concerned with stopping well, particularly in the rain.
finishing my coffee and having a harvest oat cookie from local supermarket, rolled oats, cranberries, raisins and coconut.
yum
no dents, no scratches, I earned my nap
That would work.
In addition to Opera and Rap back at them. Perhaps Puccini and Hollywood Undead. Problem is, I respect my neighbors.
56 going to 76.
Buppies, sorry to hear that about Primland...looks like a beautiful place in all the pix I've seen. Haven't been to Mabry's Mills in years...special place.
Wag, what is Recreation Day? Sounds like fun.
Mostly, hope your wife had a great birthday! Congrats on achieving your mileage goal.
Kil, nice job on that insulation. You itching?
Scott...a big ole Happy Birthday to you!
Got back late yesterday from a 2-day hike on the AT, down close to Buppies and BEF's land. Great weather, but chilly at night. Most of the leaves had fallen, making the trail a bit tricky where they hid rocks. Met one thru-hiker that was southbound...left Maine on August 9. Was in good spirits, but worried about snow in the Smoky Mountains.
I am one of those rare people who really doesn’t get affected by insulation. Then again, I am from Industrial North Jersey, I learned to swim in the Hudson River when GE was still dumping PCBs into the river, played in what later became Superfund Sites. . . I am impervious (or at least acclimated) to many things !!!! 🤣😂🤣😂
You know, if you place a subwoofer covertly near the property line and just pump out a continuous 8- to 12- cycles out of it, you could really mess with their heads. . .
with enough power in that range, life for them would get interesting.
Nice area, Dienners is less than a mile from you, good food there. Also Bird in Hand restaurant is good.
Late lunch at 3:30.
mowed and blew leaves, depending on where they were. ZT PTO suddenly shut off on me while mowing, so ran it down in front of barn, shut it down. Blew it off. Belts looked ok. Was dead then I tried to start it. couldn't get the hydro to disengage to push it, I pull back the release levels, but tires still won't turn. Ended up using chain on back of ZT and the BX loader to raise the back and push it into the barn. Little tough with the swivel front tires.
after all that, decided to see if I could jump start it. It started with the jump starter, and deck PTO engaged. The cardboard under it got destroyed. So ended up being the battery. Pulled the battery from the Husqvarna in the shed, and continued mowing leaves. However, that battery is not flat on top, and the bracket to hold battery does not fit. I tried to use it, but it fell off while mowing, so ended up taking it off.
used old bag to cover a ton of pellets to rake some of the leaves into, and drag to the edge of woods. Just too many to blow.
Was glad to get a shower after all the leave mowing, what a dirty mess it makes.
And the wind was blowing the wrong way, which made it more difficult. Pretty breezy here today.
Just saw that my grandfathers farm is being auctioned on the 25th. 3 parcels, his was 2 parcels, then 3rd is where his wifes family lived, that my cousin also inherited. Kind of like a kick in the gut to see it being auctioned off. I told my wife I'm staying in ohio after thanksgiving for the auction.
they also taking online bids. Maybe I'll try to bid on one parcel. I have the appraisal, and know the minimum, and it's more than I can afford. Mineral rights do convey, which is reason I want it.
But I did have an excellent day mowing. Got the Laupāhoehoe end of property done. Hopefully the Hilo end benefits today. I know many are reporting their last mow of the season/year. Not me, but then I’m not to transitioning to snowblower or plow either. And it will still be in mid 70’s next mow. Somebody has to do it.
Hey, it's 77 here today...forecast is 80 for Thursday. 😓
You just need enough to have fun, not dislodge the teacups. . . You can always escalate to that later on. . .
LOL. The property line is a 1/2 mile down the road. At least. They don't abut me, there are four other properties between me and the agitators. Like I said, I cannot imagine what their next door neighbors are feeling and hearing.
It sounds good for an hour or two, eight to twelve hours, not so much.
Buggered if I know... as far as I do, The South of the State had one more 'holiday' than the North (historic 42nd parallel division) so 'they' came up with one more to even things out and simply named it that.
:D
Good (Wednesday) morning. Overnight Low of 15.5C and it's presently 18.7C (heading to 21C). Overcast with wind predicted to moderately increase. Some rain estimated for this arvo.
Wood stacking continued yesterday and I should be able to finish the 'house' side stacking today... in fact, I just heard a 'rumble' so the remainder of the wood is being delivered. Yay. I'll pay the blokes once I'm off TBN.
This morning is 'into town' day for mail & groceries. Rain permitting, I'll be back to stacking.
That's about it, take care all.
so the South of the State is better place to work and live they say. Competition still going since 1813
;) I don't know who 'they' are but they're probably 'townie/city folk'. It's a heck of a lot more expensive (property & living expenses) down South.
There's a huge, metal sign, in the shape of Tassie with "42" cut into the centre, on a property this side of Ross heading South on the Midlands Highway... :D notifying we Northerners that we're entering 'their' side.
