67 outside this AM. Will get into the upper 90's lat. 91% humidity.

Managed to last about 10 minutes in the Milk House attic yesterday. Too hot. Got the rest of the chimney support wall down, and cleaned out the bricks. Wife helped, she lasted about 20 minutes before she took off to the house. Too hot. I don't thing the weather is going to get better until the end of the week. Some are predicting rain, and temps into the upper 80's. We shall see.

Roofer should be by today in a few hours to patch the roof where the chimney was.

Other than that, I may try the attic again. It needs to be cleaned out.

Good morning! 78˚ before sunrise means this will be an extra hot day way into the hundreds. Pictured below are the planted pits of dates from Costco from Mom a year ago, I'm still babying them with compost once a month and water every day.
In 3-7 years I'll have my own dates!

63 to start going to 84 or so with lots of humidity !

Yes grandkids had a lot of fun out on the lake yesterday !

My oldest son brought his drone up here for the weekend and got a couple nice shots of our little place in the mountains!
Also got a sunset picture and a sunrise picture, very nice !

I got most of the DW graded and rolled, material seems to be packing down nicely ! I wanted to do it sooner but was stuck until I could put that drainage tile in ! It’s done now, so we will see how everything holds up when the fall rains arrive !

Cooler temperatures the last few days are forecasted for the rest of the week.
May begin constructing a dolly for the fuel tank so it can be moved around easily.
100 gallons and the tank is about 850 pounds.

74 on its way to 90, partly cloudy and dry.

Yesterday started with cleaning up and getting the new computer up to speed. Well actually it’s up to speed, just doesn’t do everything I need it to yet. Mostly loading software and drivers, and the old favorite, trying to remember user names and passwords.

Got a little RC flying in before I had to start preparing dinner, which went well. Ate too much, sent lots of food home with the kids.

Today will start with a speaker repair for a musician on tour. He is coming from NYC area and needs a solution. After that I’m not sure what I’ll get into, but there is always something that comes up.
Lack of rain has slowed the mowing down, Wife mentioned taking grandson to local polish festival.

77 here going to 100+ with heat index approaching 107+. Overcast but they're saying no rain. It's so humid right now, it looks a little foggy out.

I'll go out and affix the new registration sticker on the windshield but after that, I'm staying indoors with the AC.

my partner in the insurance/real estate business in my little town had a favorite lunch when he got home.
Just boiled lima beans on white Wonder Bread. A lima bean sandwich. He was skinny as a rail, smoked two packs a day, drank
six cups of coffee with two sugars in each a day, and is still here. Nursing home, but still here.
I needed butter and seasoning on mine.
gosh, at least put them on good bread...

successful morning so far.
fixed my tail light, who knows for how long.
and a hail mary idea I had with my old living room plant table
turned out to work. Arm rest on rv so tight to body my arm doesn't fit on it.
I need a bigger arm rest. So....going to layer some soft towels on this, maybe a beach
towel with some pretty colors, and have a soft comfy extra full size arm rest.
which I can easily take outside and use while on the road.

Already 78F and sunny @ 10:30, supposed to be heading up to around 87F for the day's high. HI 79F, DP 69F, HU 69%, AQI 34.

Got cleaned up and made the run down to Menards and picked up fertilizer order, also picked up a 2-pak of small portable 1000 lumen work lights which seemed stupid cheap ($4.99)

Worked on strawberries after I got back, weeding, watering, and trimming/pinning/potting more runners to root. Think I have about half of them weeded and watered, the count of pinned and potted runners is up to 63. Almost have all the netting removed. Will do some more work on that today before it gets too hot.

Woman spent most of the day at the yard sale, did more watering and picked some tomatoes when She got home.

In addition to two nice outside chairs She picked up for the "plant room", She also snagged me a nice height-adjustable rolling chair for up in the shop.

Did not get feeders filled yesterday so will try and get to that at some point today.

Trash/recycle day tomorrow ... so will have to haul those up to the cans at the road.

Once it gets really warm out there today, will probably mow down here around the house.

Good morning! Low of 58°, heading to 86°. The highs keep going above the forecast.... yesterday was forecast to be 86° --- not.... hit 92°. The past few days have been like that.

Scott, I just imagine being out on a lake like that. Precious time with the family. Beautiful area!

Drew, my mom was a big lima bean eater, she made them constantly..... maybe that's why I can't stand them now....

RNG, your plan for unloading sounds great! much more manageable that way.

Buppies, sorry you had to head back home. Prayers sent for the Mrs.

Yesterday's agenda will continue over-flow today.... I was able to get the "receiving" hole dug. After filling with water twice, letting it soak in. That dirt was hard! Probably because it was driven on for about 10 years, with the water trailer.
Today, digging up the shrub is the main event. At least I know the ground will be soft.... but will have to deal with roots.....

This manual digging seems to have gotten much harder than I remember.... I guess the bad knee doesn't help, but I believe I got very spoiled having a backhoe. Unfortunately, can't get it into the area for this project.

Not sure what we are going to do for dinner.... but it will either involve the grill or the smoker. Made breakfast burritos for dinner last night. They were good.

Time to go labor with that shrub --- it's Labor Day afterall.....

Nice quiet day so far. Fix8ng to make buttermilk pancakes and breakfast sausage for brunch.

Then packing in prep for our move to the property.

Got some ribeye steaks marinating. Gonna do corn on the cob and baked taters for dinner with it tonight.

Supposed to get some thunder storms through this evening.

Worked out on the property this weekend.

Expecting a semi quiet day at the house.
