Dad said tractor was overheating, I was going to run to Ohio. My brother in law looked at it and cleaned radiator. Dad thought it was clean, but it wasn’t.
The 5030 Kubota will overheat with a small amount of obstruction on the radiator and the pull out radiator filter. It happened on mine several times and cleaning the radiator and filter solved the problem.

A typical Kenyan meal consists of ugali (a type of cornmeal porridge), sukuma wiki (collared greens), ndengu (stewed mung beans), and chapati (a tortilla-like bread made with wheat flour), all homemade.

maybe your daughter can ask for not too spicy on the mung beans.
the "pride" of Kenyan food, likely because it is scarce and expensive, is a barbecued meat dish called nyama choma
I am tired just looking at the plan for the trip:

1. Nairobi, Kenya: Oct 16-18 - visit the Nairobi National Park, David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, and the Karen Blixen Museum.

2. Maasai Mara National Reserve, Kenya: Oct 18 - 21 - wildlife safari and annual wildebeest migration (usually between July and October).
⁃ We can do a fly-in safari or drive in (I’d aim for drive in because overland is a good way to see everything. I’d opt for Fly-in options only if we need to save time)
⁃ Giraffe Manor
⁃ Also consider Hells Gate National Park and the Geothermal spa there
https://www.masaimara.com

3. Amboseli National Park, Kenya: Oct 21-23 - Mount Kilimanjaro and spot elephants, lions, and other wildlife against the backdrop of the mountain.
⁃ Lodging: Serena Safari Lodge (one option)

4. Zanzibar, Tanzania: Oct 23 - 25: Stone Town, snorkeling, or boat trip.
⁃ Lodging: Melia Zanzibar as an option Hotel Melia Zanzibar, an elegant luxury hotel in Tanzania | Melia.com
⁃ Zanzibar Serena Hotel

5. Serengeti National Park, Tanzania: Oct 25 - 27: Witness vast open plains teeming with wildlife, including lions, elephants, zebras, and giraffes. The Serengeti is renowned for its incredible game drives.

https://servalwildlife.com

6. Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Tanzania: Oct 27 - 30: Discover the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a haven for wildlife, including rhinos, lions, and flamingos.
⁃ Ngorongoro Wildlife lodge

I have to pull out the radiator screen about every other mowing to blow up on my LS

That appears to be all it was. Dad just can’t see down in there. He mowed about 2.5 hrs today and said it didn’t overheat.
When I was there I blew it out every time I came in for a break.

We are not under any warnings here, but the sky was getting very dark on the way home from dinner.

And I got something in one tire on the way home. Like my 4th flat tire this year. I will deal with it tomorrow.

Fritz, prayers sent for a good outcome for your daughter. Sounds like quite a trip she will be taking!

Don, thanks for the coffee grounds article. We will be implementing saving the grounds for the plants.

Successful materials run. I even got some sheet steel to put solid sides on the trailer. If it's windy again tomorrow (now forecasted to be worse than today), I'll have a couple things to work on.
Probably do the trailer first, then it will be ready to get some gravel next week (without loosing 1/4 of the load). I tried to convince the wifey that we NEEDED a dump trailer..... I must be loosing my touch --A "no go" from the start......

Our "monsoon season" official start was today..... they are already calling it a "non-soon" season, being there is no precip in the 10 day + forecast.....

Time to put the feets up.....

Good (Friday) morning. Overnight Low of 3.3C and it's presently 15.5C, mostly grey cloudy yet fairly calm. Wind is expected later on.

Mostly contacting organisations that require my new CC details... as I remember them. I'm also cleaning out folders/stuff on this desktop computer in anticipation of heading into Launie to upgrade to a new one. I'll let 'them' transfer the data from one to another.

That's about it, take care all.

I have been kicking around getting a dump trailer.
Thought about going to lot to mow tomorrow, but calling for rain there and here Don’t want to drive 4 hrs and not be able to mow, then 4 back. Tomorrow makes 4 weeks already. Should have went today, but I was preparing to go to Ohio to check out the tractor.
Pebbles has been fast asleep in the other lazyboy.

59 going to 86...maybe much needed rain.

Cool tunnel, Mostly.

I've heard the Anvil is a great place.

Took a nice hike. Then replaced a dimmer switch yesterday...in a gang box with 4 other switches...had to take them all out to get to the ground wire. Real challenge getting them all lined up perfectly to screw the cover plate back. Plus, it turns out the replacement dimmer I had was a single pole, and I needed a three way...so a trip to Ace Hardware and a chance to use my $10 off coupon.

Can't already be Friday?

/ Good morning!!!! #171,917
good morning all
looks nice out now but that is changing, more rain on the way all day today

woke up sneezing again, all stuffed up. Antihistamines don't seem to help.

absolutely nothing planned for today, might work in garage decluttering.
I sure do like to make piles...

am hoping BIL and his son will stop by tomorrow, we can change oil in rv together. Otherwise I'll take it to truck shop next week.

I got the replacement LED ceiling light in for rv, might work on that. Good job on a rainy day

windy day yesterday and new flag stuck back up on roof, most annoying, pulled it out of gutter again.
these are the little challenges of life...

it's time for this stump to go. Right outside my front door. Going to rent a backhoe, get my BIL to operate it since I have zero seat time on one, and have
my landscaper helpers clean up the mess and seed it when done. Don't want wood chips, want lawn. Those roots will continue to rot and whole thing
is subsiding. At least putting bug killer on the stumps helped with the grubs, now the birds, mostly a huge red headed woodpecker, no longer come and
peck the stumps to literally bits. I'm thinking a small red maple right there would be nice.

/ Good morning!!!! #171,918
Good Morning
54 with a high in low 70’s today, rain and thunderstorms by lunchtime.

Yesterday ended up being pretty productive, started out after a nice breakfast on the Lazer, new suspension seat is awesome, can go much faster in rough areas. Got all the trimming done, hooked up the progressive and mowed the rest as well. A local sod farm has the same model (TD65) progressive mower for sale, along with a spare one for parts.
It’s tempting, as mine is going to need some repairs to the rear deck where it’s rusting through, but for less money I can by a CNC table for my plasma cutter and make a new deck pan to weld in. And then
I’ll have the the table for future projects.
Once I finished the mowing, I got out the pressure washer and soaped the tractor, Lazer and Prius with the foam cannon, used a long handled brush to scrub, rinsed with a 45° tip, and then chamois’d with the leaf blower.
Loaded grain into the feed bins in the barn, played with Zoe and grandson a bit then sat down for a bit of dinner before putting my feet up.

Off to Portland, ME again this morning, hope to be back before the weather gets here from the west. Should be home in time for lunch at my favorite spot, and do some tinkering in the shop while it rains outside. Supposed to play music tonight, so it should be another full day.
