27 going to 39.

The local weather man said this was the biggest December snow here in over 100 years...everything is pretty much shut down. I saw a snow plow going down the road about an hour ago, though, so things will improve, but one weather lady said she thinks schools may not open until late this week, since it will be in the lows 20's at night and refreeze the melted snow. It almost seems as though the newer buses can only drive on totally dry pavement. They actually closed schools due to rain one day last year...they may have to shift the school year to summer rather than winter. :) Okay, I admit that safety is paramount.

Eric, great Christmas tree adventure!

Looking4new - we like tarts, too...sounds like you need help eating them all.

BEF, great set-up you did at church. I've forgotten to check to see if you've updated your Ohio history thread.

Don, sounds like you've found a really great retirement neighborhood to live.

Ron, we never see gray foxes here, but red foxes are very common.

Well, after all the fuss we only got an inch or so on the ground before it got below freezing. Probably had 2-3 inches worth fall but it melted. I did put melter on all the steps and decks.

Buppies and wngsprd you guys got it good!

Drew I don’t know what you got up at the DE beaches.

I’ve gotta get moving, great day all and God bless.

Wngsprd, at my old place there were a pair of foxes for years, in the thicket across the field, the male was a large gray. The Kitts were almost always red.

When I was baling hay in the 80's there was always a gray fox or 2 that would show up to collect mice and other rodents. They had no fear of the equipment. Get off tractor and they were gone. They may still be here. But I never see them. Other animals I never see any more are Badgers, Blue Racer snakes and Rattlesnakes. There are more homes then when I moved here. But there is still a lot of open land.

Good morning! 32˚ heading to 59˚ sunny no wind.
Got an email from the Hiking club that says we will have a trail maintenance work day for Wednesday when temps will be above 60˚. I still can't believe they call it "work" - I need to wd40 the loppers and locate the gloves.

Eric what a tree memory. You did get pictures right!

I'll have to try "Happy dogs" sauce. Sounds . . . happy. But is it a mild hot sauce? I still want to be able to eat without sweating.

Randy and Ron, although we only see reds here, down in Southeast Virginia where I do a lot of hunting, all I see is gray foxes, never red ones.

We got 9.5 inches here, nearby in Montpelier they got 13.5. I saw where Covington got over 20 inches.

My mom goes through skids and tennis balls on the back two legs of her walker really fast. I need to find some resistance wheels for the rear of her walker. She does not like the walkers with brakes because of arthritis in her hands and she feel like it will "get away from her". If anyone has heard of such wheels that can be mounted on a walker let me know.
Thanks

I put skies on my mothers walker. Better than wheels or tennis’s balls on rear legs.
