Sassy looks perky this morning

high in 70s more rain tomorrow grass growing pine pollen I’m sneezing already. Truck is filthy

Drew enjoy birthday party

mostly that’s a lot of head wind

I81 is a highway I avoid at all costs

Prayers for all silent or spoken our Country
That’s funny - I think I-81 is pleasant to drive. But then again, I was born&raised on I-95…

Good morning, 48 going to 67 very wet around here but rain is over only to be in the forecast again tomorrow at 100 percent.

The planted Green Giants and Leland Cypress last fall have grown over a foot already this spring. Don't think I need to water them any more.

Always liked I81 better going up North. Lots of truck traffic but hooked in behind a truck running at a speed I liked

Drew that is a lot of water

Sassy looks sassy. Cute and sits. Good role model Kil

52 going to 75. 2.2" of rain, and more tomorrow, but I did see a small spot of blue sky outside this morning...gone now.

Don, hope hail was not bad at the farm. We had hail last Saturday...came out of nowhere, just as a light rain started.

So, Boo is back and Buppie' bear. My wife had a nightmare about a bear carrying off a little girl from our porch Thursday night. So, we wondered if we'd see one yesterday. Nope.

Good Morning!

God has given us and other chance to get it right (or at least not screw up too badly).

50.0F, going to mid 70s, should be sunny all day.

Got some running around done yesterday, scored some premium doggie trays at the discount store discount rack (70% off!), got a couple good items at the Goodwill, including a lightly-used Weber charcoal chimney for $5, which will replace my 8-year-old one at the house, and that one will go up to the woodlot.

Bailey will go up to woodlot today, Harry will stay home, more because I plan on dropping some more trees this trip - especially since we now will have a way to pull stumps and move logs easily come mid-May!

I just moved a shovel and pickaxe to the bottom of the deck stairs, because I REALLY need to clean out the chicken run. i saved all my feed/scratch bags, so it all will get bagged and taken up to the woodlot for the Victory Garden we will put in, once the logs are moved and stumps are pulled.

I also need to talk to th owner of one of the local tire shops and see if I can get him to deliver a flatbed-load of used tires to the woodlot for free — and then he gets to pocket all those tire disposal fees 😎 win/win! I need the tires for growing towers and also they can be used for constucting retaining walls/ban reinforcement/etc —- now that we will have a convenient easy way to fill them come mid-May!

time for more coffee.

I hope everyone has a happy healthy restorative blessed Saturday !!!

The stretch of I-81 from Abingdon to Salem is a great stretch for drafting if you find the right truck!

Drew- Thanks for sharing the picture of your flooding back yard.

The rain started overnight and it continues and probably will continue in some fashion for the next 7 days if the NWS predictions are accurate. The current 40ºF is this morning's low temperature and the predicted high temperature will be ~ 50ºF. I'll probably be cutting and pasting this post for the next 6 - 7 days. Other than going to the dump and an extended ride on some backroads "bird watching." It's Spring Turkey Season here in MA. I was touring the lower perimeter with 🐕 the other morning and there was this "gobble, gobble, gobble, and BOOM the next field over. It has been a great year for turkeys around here. There is one resident flock of +40 birds.

gooseneck spouts that have a cam lock to expand a rubber bushing, but they are worn out and don’t fit tight enough any more.
I believe those cam locks are rebuild able.

Good morning, the low is 45 and only going to 46°F. Wind SE 10 gusting to 20 mph.

Depending on how hard it rains, that will be the deciding factor on putting the hoe on.
I have about 4 stumps to pull for the neighbour.

Have a safe day all

The recent trip to Messick and stopping at the wood carver reminded me of the wood carving given to me as a gift many years ago.
It shows the old City Hall of the town I grew up in. The carver was a friend of the family and I went to school with his son.
The current picture of the city hall with cobblestone streets not far from where I grew up in a street behind it:

And a picture of the carving

Good morning! 51° now, high of 62° today.

Gonna have to catch up. Made a road trip this week to NJ and PA. Saw the exit to New Hope. Had a nice dinner in Ewing Township NJ, then went to Oley PA for the AMCA National swap meet and bike show. Left just as the rain started. Drove home in the rain. Happy I was going west, there was a 10 mile traffic jam eastbound because of an Amazon truck and guard rail having a difference of opinion.

A few pictures. 2 are a rarity. Not only was there a Crocker at the event, there were 2!

Everyone stay safe out there

Good Morning
50 and wet outside. Not raining now, but more coming. We’ve gotten 1.7” so far.

Yesterday was a slow but consistent day, I had to run a couple of circuits for additional outlets at the restaurant for some new kitchen equipment. That required a trip to the electric supply for some material as the panels are all bolt in breaker type, and I needed some 20amp duplex receptacles. Got everything staged so I could get it all done in between the lunch and dinner rush.
The boys came to play music last night, I fed them pizza.
Looks like a tree down on the lane for me to deal with first thing this morning.
Then we’ll see what else I can get into.
There is always the recordings from last night to sort through.

Good morning! Low of 27°. High today around 70°. Sunny and light breezes.
Yesterday's snow continued for around 3 hours. Big flakes at times, but no accumulation. Rain gauge only shows about .02" The wind got a little gusty when the storm was clearing out.
Not a cloud in the sky this morning.

Need to head to the gas station this morning for both gas and diesel. Probably cut the front and back yards tomorrow, grasses / weeds are getting tall.

Also start the drip irrigation cycle again.... the week sure went by fast.....

And get started cutting the pieces for the planters. Need to get that project going. Wifey wants to get the trees planted soon......

Everyone stay safe and have a great weekend!

Sorry I've been away for so long. Time really slipped by. Buppies, thank you for reaching out.

I've got a lot of catching up to do, but glad to see Jay is posting again, and has a new dog.

My wife had her shoulder surgery last week and I've been taking care of her and handling her chores as well as mine. She's doing great, and finally felt up for a trip out to Costco, Torchy's and to visit her mom...me driving, of course. She should get the green light to drive at her follow up doctor's appointment Wednesday.

Before the surgery, I crammed in as much hiking and spring gobbler hunting as I could. I'll post some hiking pictures...the mountains are fabulous this time of year.
Glad your wifey's shoulder surgery is done. Hoping for a full recovery. It is painful I'm told.

Happy Belated Birthday Ted! Hope the daughter's repairs go smoothly.
Morning all, say going up to 53, currently 54 and getting ready to rain.
Day off work to relax, will go pick up lunch later.
Did get some wood split and the gazebo cleaned out.

KJC - congrats on the new ride

Son made National English honor roll, some kind of induction next week for us to attend.

To lazy to do much today.

I let my lawn go somewhat natural, no chemicals, fertilizers etc. Just Mow and go.

Dog approved
Congrats on your son's achievements, and his spotify songs.
Kyle, how are you and your family getting along?
We are blessed. Thank you for asking. I am finding my body can't keep up with what my mind wants to do. This past week I've been on my feet a lot at work. Feet, all the way up to lower back are hurting. I told the wife, that if we had gone somewhere like a zoo, I would have had to stay in the car. I'm wondering if the Losartan I'm taking for BP is hurting my mobility? Seems to have come around since I've started taking it....

Feet feel better now, after a night's rest.

I keep finding myself about 3 days behind on reading. I'll read a days worth, but stay 3 days behind. It is mostly a "time" thing. I got caught up this morning.

Lots going on with you fine folks. New excavators, new RC planes, refurbishing table saws, great pictures. We have it all right here on the Good Morning Thread.

I am going to pick up a few things I won in a local estate auction. Hopefully a nice Kenmore elite upright vacuum, a "Made in USA" come along, and an old 12hp Sea King outboard motor....like I need another project like a hole in my head. I might give it to my new South African friend who has a "tinny" boat w/o a motor.

Prayers for Buppies, our team, our country, and for peace in Ukraine. Wondering how Finland joining NATO is going to work out long term. History there. I'm hoping we can support Ukraine enough to bankrupt Russia's military and kick them out. I believe there is bad vibes brewing internally. Just shows how bad things can get when 1 person rules a country.

I could look at pictures like those, all day long. I'm wondering about why the Crockers are so coveted? Mystical like Vincent Black Shadows?

Thanks for sharing Rich.
