Good morning!!!!

/ Good morning!!!! #166,661
when I opened Mail this morning, got a bunch of worried "where are you" emails from brother and friends. It seems that my laptop, which I haven't used for two months since Amtrak trip to Florida, started sending out emails from that time again. I guess they were ones I tried to send out before but they never went out due to bad reception in train. One friend asked if I took the rv on the autotrain....no. So I got that straightened out this morning.

28 last night here, no wonder I was cold, and going up to 60 today, hopefully a nice day.

heat wrap on my neck, slowly waking up, no plans until friends come to take me out to lunch. E-muffin and hard boiled eggs for breakfast.

Good Morning!!!! 50F @ 4:30AM. Periods of rain. High around 55F. Winds ESE at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 90%. Rainfall near a quarter of an inch.
Only three dry days in the 10-day, but hoping to get some burning done on one of them.

Good to read the motor home is behaving itself and you're out having fun, Drew.

Smooth trip yesterday coming home, and truck didn't appear to use any oil. Over the years the highway department has been refinishing the I5 interstate by putting down a layer of asphalt over the damaged concrete underneath. But with all the rain we've been having, the asphalt has been letting go, leaving behind deep potholes. Deep enough to pop a tire if you hit one wrong, and I saw several people at the side of the road changing flats yesterday. And road crews throwing cold patch into the holes with shovels, letting traffic flatten the resulting mounds. Our tax dollars at waste.

Got everything unloaded, but still have lots to put away. Found reworked cylinder heads safe and dry in parel box, so I can quit worrying about that.

Not sure what I'll get into today, but I've got plenty to choose from.

Good morning! 52˚F cloudy heading to the mid 70s.

Yesterday was a dark a dreary cold day. Seat time was a bit cold with my light jacket and the South wind with high of only 55˚. No crowds so it was good to get back in the saddle again.

The piers at the Farm were getting a metal top plate welded on in preparation of the crane coming out next week and setting the trailers up in the sky for the treehouse food court.

The vegetation workers were busy hoeing weeds in the vegetable garden. The Giga beer trailer (40 spigots) was moved to the start area of the Adult Easter egg hunt, which starts This weekend. The budding peach trees are loosing their pink blossoms to green leafs and the neighbors corn field now has 6" corn. Things change a lot in a week.

Morning all, 22 going up to 61 and sunny.
Got the plow off tractor and some other outside stuff done.

KC -When do we get puppy update pictures?

Drew - glad all the RV bits are working even if the campsite is not.

Sprayed around the last of the surviving spring flowers, frost this morning does not seem to have bothered them.

Back to day job,

Be well,

'Our tax dollars at waste."

RNG, I don't know if you will find this consoling but it is much the same everywhere, unless it is worse. 😱

Good morning.
30 when I woke up, warming up quickly under a bright sun.

Yesterday made progress on speakers, experimenting with rare earth magnets to hold a grill on. Got a crossover built and some finishing done.
Interesting class with Zoe, it was outside to provide more distraction. She was certainly not focused. Performed well when I had her attention, but that wasn’t often. Interesting that it’s at least 50/50 who’s being trained, humans vs dogs.
Finished with a meeting at the odd fellows lodge. Got there a bit early and played a few games of 8 Ball. Hasn’t played in a long time, but did well.

Today is back in the shop hopefully another productive day.
It’s really drying up nicely, hopefully I can get some more loads of manure hauled out soon. Also have to move some soil to cover the culvert pipe we replaced last week. But I don’t want to cause a lot of collateral damage by moving around on ground that is too wet.

Morning - it's raining...inches today and tomorrow.
In November we welcomed it.
In December we relished it.
In January we championed it.
In February we tolerated it.
In March we're sick of it!
Weeds are knee high and blooming. There is mud everywhere.
It's too wet to mow.
I miss the drought.

66°F and .1 inches of much needed rain.

Will have to see if this rain is just a minor delay for my mowing. A couple hours of sun and I should be ok. 🤞0therwise let it pour and make it worthwhile

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Haven't been to the garden in over a week, so it was nice to see 51 of my 52 potatoes are up and thriving. I hooked up the irrigation system and got another item crossed off my list. I'll give the kale a few more weeks before I plant the last row of potatoes. This is the kale after I picked a big bag. I hope I don't have to use the bale of hay to protect from frost because it just encourages pill bugs to come live in my garden.

Flail mowing has come to an end for the day.

This is my belt tensioner

IMG_0915.JPG

Had noticed a crack yesterday, but still seemed solid this morning, belts still tight. But now, about 21/2 hours later… of course that also includes finding it.

So off to the PO. I have a temp fix in mind, but Sophie has generously offered use of her BX. I think that could work as long as i’m cautious in the really overgrown areas.

On a lighter note, Sophie has had me laughing since coffee this morning when she realized this is her last day being 69. Told her I’d welcome her to the septuagenarian club tomorrow.

Good (Wednesday) morning. Overnight Low of 10.5C and it's presently 15.2C, calm, overcast with light rain (as predicted).

The fence repair at the Rectory went well (2hrs) but 'it aint pretty'. I mostly replaced 9 palings and shored up any palings that were loose.

Discussions at our monthly Church Council meetings had included this fence repair for months, but had always been deferred... as it had been last Monday. So I was curious as to why I'd been asked to do it 'right away'. Well, it turns out that there's a paddock on the other side (yes, in town) that the owner has moved a couple of cattle onto. There's an electric fence that's been set-up a few metres away, but the gap in the Rectory fence + young, curious, children would be too much of a temptation. ;)

Anyway, it's 'into town day' for groceries/scripts/mail.

That's about it, take care all.
