Good morning!!!!

Good morning to all! Low was 7°, brrrrr. High is only going to 31°. No precip in the forecast until the end of next week -- maybe. Temps should moderate into the mid 40's starting Sunday.

Meeting with the attorney went well ---- kind of ---- She had a plan in place that we went over and she is going to start the process. She kept saying she couldn't believe they denied the claim.... she thought it would settle.

The 'kind of' part.... she had been involved in a rollover accident and has some neck and back injuries that will probably require surgery.... so she is referring all of her clients / cases to another attorney. She would like to hold on to our case for now. She has already downsized her staff and office, she will be working from home. There's always a chance she might have to turn it over. Hopefully we won't have to switch attorneys mid stream.....

Scaredy, nice that you had some quality time with the GS! He looks happy for sure! It's the little things in life..... Hang in there with the other problems.

Fritz, prayers sent for your daughter. Hope they get her back up to speed!

Drew, have a safe trip! Enjoy the warm weather and good company.

Dennis, painting white on white overhead.... yeah, difficult to cover in one coat. Hope this project doesn't morph into more painting....

RNG, how often do you pull the transmissions out of the bikes for maintenance? Are they prone to wearing out parts? Hope you are able to track down the speedo --- hope it was insured.

Buppies, another day? ---- it should be for another week.... especially if the Mrs is enjoying herself! That in itself would make it worth the extra stay.

Going to try and get back to welding up the edge tamers. Maybe today if I can tolerate the cold. Might wait another day or so. It's amazing what a 10° temp difference feels like when it's cold....

Everyone have a great day!

64°F and 0 rain, but in the forecast.

Would really like to get remaining 8 PV panels installed, but definitely wx dependent.

Nice dinner out. Hadn’t eaten at that restaurant since before the pandemic.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

The recommended service interval is every 25,000 miles. I last did this one at 40K, so at 75K miles it's a bit overdue. The input shaft on the transmission is splined, and fits into the clutch friction disc. The splines on the shaft are hardened, the clutch ones not so much. There's not much motion between the two, but it's difficult to keep lubrication on them as it's a dry setup. It's also good to take things apart to make sure nothing inside the transmission is amiss. If the output flange doesn't turn smoothly, it's time for new hearings, bushings, and seals. Everything looked good on this one, fortunately.

Sometimes the mailperson will leave parcels with the "postman" at the local hardware store. It's not really a post office, but the locals use it like one and the post office kinda goes along with it. Dumba$$ postman we have never leaves a delivery slip when he does that, though. So I'll call over there this morning after they have a chance to drink their coffee.

42° and overcast. Will stay in 40s till next week. Maybe Snow next Wednesday.

One of these days my wife and I will go to Lancaster area to eat at Amish place to celebrate my retirement.

I’m not doing any work today. Got Dr visit this afternoon for cardio clearance for upcoming colonoscopy. I started this process in November to get this done.
My oldest sister was my age when she died from colon cancer, so I was on 3 yr checkup plan, last time they switched me to 5 yrs.

My grandfathers land is going up for sale by my cousins estate in probate. Me and some siblings are talking about buying, hoping we can do a direct sale before they get realtors involved. Not sure best way to do this as a group, maybe set up an LLC? Me buying VA property makes it harder for me. I will probably be point man to make it happen. 126 acres with timber. Steep hillsides, fields now overgrown. House and barn too far gone. Not sure yet on status of oil gas rights, part is leased already.
Part is my grandfathers farm plus 50 acres from my G grandparents farm that was inherited. My dad had sold off his share years ago to his sister. The G grandparents land has been in our family since Ohio became a state and it was sold by the government.

I'd find a way to make that happen.

I have a strange attachment to land history and family. And yet, I have neither. So I started my own.

Good (Friday) morning. Overnight Low of 12C and it's presently 20.3C, overcast & calm. Higher winds expected later on. There was 1.0mm of rain in the gauge at 0900.

Well, I was a lazy bugger yesterday but, in my defence, it was "Australia Day" so I don't feel guilty. I do have to get off my arse today & do stuff as it's supposed to be very warm (30C+) tomorrow and I'm not a 'hot weather' kind of bloke. That's why I live in the South, it's cooler down here.

That's about it, take care all.

Our grand daughter was admitted this morning at Johs Hopkins hospital. Her platelet count was 3K and supposed to be 150K and she was also diagnosed with Lupus. She will receive transfusions and treatments for the next days. We pray for her she is good kid and deserve to have a life. Hope for the best.
Got a laptop, dock, upc, speakers, 24 inch monitor and setting it up now. Looks like iCloud worked to download the old stuff

can you believe Amtrak derailed another train one mile from where last weeks Autotrain derailed? Only one car this time, how nice. who knows how long this will take, at least they turned the heat back on in the car.
so until they clear the track, looks like a wait

David are the panels the roof? Won't it leak?

Yes, they are the roof, part of my rationale.

Controlled leak?

The 3 panels rows are siliconed between. The 4 rows have small space between that will have a “gutter” under panels feeding the gutter that will be across the front.
