Good Morning!!!! 56F @ 5:15AM.
Partly cloudy. High 73F. Winds light and variable.

Good to have you back, Ron!

Great leaf pics, thanks for sharing.

Started an old favorite yesterday, Heinlein's Glory Road. Hard to put down.

Ferrite beads made no difference. I'll wrap the whole thing in foil today and ground it to see if that helps. But Amazon did indeed deliver in one day!

Solar contractor finally got back in touch, and we went over a system shut down procedure, and I got the low down on a Tri-Metric meter I installed a while back. Hopefully he can address the voltage sag issue, which is better, but not resolved.

Gonna just see how today goes...

Very mild today overcast but nice weather

Going to pick up groceries and the ignition coil for the chainsaw that came in
Then going to wife's dentist appointment this afternoon
Got the area leveled where the tree stump excavations were, Cody approved of the job. Also took a picture of what is left of a gravestone from the 1840's on the farm. Time has not been kind to the inscription that was from a 20 year old girl called Sarah Ann B

Good morning! Wow, What a morning!! The 11th birthday of the Good morning thread and RON IS BACK! Ron nice Fall colors pic to fall back into the GM groove with.

52˚F, stout North wind at 18 mph, clear skies. High today only in the mid 70s.

I hope the "Farm" got the shower we got late last night so the dust will settle. Oh, Ron the Farm is not my Farm it's an "Adventure Farm" where I go to play, and they actually pay me to give trailer rides with their tractor. I still get amazed on how many "city folks" (10K on weekends) come out with their kids to give them the "Farm Experience". It is a photo opportunity that the farm takes advantage of with plenty of "props" for the young parents to share on their social media.

Good book!!!
My two favorite authors are Robert Heinlein and Arthur C. Clarke (Rendezvous with Rama).
You enjoyed "Glory Road", here's another book you might like: "Titan" by John Varley

70°F and .10 inches rain and raining.

Plan was to knock out those last three lights, but wx could definitely impact. These lights require the scaffold to access. Could turn into an inside day.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

66F and sunny, heading up to a high of around 77F. Calling for rain tonight, developing sometime after midnight ... then a big cool down.

Ten Day still talking about high temps in the 60's and 70's though throughout the entire period though ... (y)

Very frustrating day yesterday as far as gutter cover work goes. Section I was working on is hung so high (close to the roofing metal) that it was very difficult to replace any hangers or get the covers installed.

I was finally able to come up with a system using a pry bar and crow bar which allowed me to make a little progress but I think I only got 2 or 3 covers installed. Hoping I can get the rest of the front side done today before the rain heads in tonight.

By the time it started to get dark I was beat (back and hips) and suffering from all the standing.

Woman and I did get one side on all three 2 x 8 x 14's coated with a 50/50 mixture of BLO and paint thinner. Will probably move those into the barn tonight so they can be finished up tomorrow.

We also did some more work on digging out the dirt on the inside perimeter of the barn so that additional foam board can be added. There are a total of nineteen roughly 8' "bays" (space between poles) on the north, south, and back wall of the barn. We got 7 of those mostly dug out but a few still need a little additional clean up. Used the bucket on the Kubota to loosen up the dirt which at least made it a little easier.

Also got one 2 x 4 x 8 foam board panel cut up into 16" tall sections with the table saw.

Probably take the lift around back today and at least blow the leaves out of the back gutter before the rain arrives.

Good to see return of our missing members Ted and Ron.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe Tuesday ... (y)

Love to see inscription better. Sad how so many people died young back then. It could have been from so many things. I'd put flowers on it.

The ribbon of rain streaming out of the Gulf finally is over Murray Kentucky and we are having a flood.

I found some nice Burmuda hay Saturday. We got it hauled and all in the barn by midnight Sunday night and last night I work till 1:00 a.m. in the dry lot making sure everything that wasn't dirt was removed so we should have a good flush job on the dry lot.

We now have 8 months supply of hay on the hill.

sounds like darned good timing Gale

got some apples from local orchard, was admiring their old Kubota. They have a newer cab model, a UTV, etc. I wonder how many hours this has on it.
Not a model you see a lot.
2.4L 5 cylinder diesel 51/42 hp probably run beyond forever

very interesting looking mushroom farm growing along driveway.
middle pic is for RS, should get him salivating, about 70 tulip bulbs and a couple of tiny junipers to plant along the lane.

35 degrees with light frost here at the east edge of WA State, light wind and still wet from the past couple days rain. Little bit of sun is melting the frost from the metal barn roof. Drained and rolled most of the hoses, stored 'em for winter. The rhubarb and tomatoes are bidding goodbye to the last of the warmer weather. Time to roll out a bale of straw to freshen the mulch on the garden. A touch of frost nip on the fingertips from handling cold tools and equipment. Snow forecast is slightly above my elevation, but lowering.

Calamity in the family. Stepdaughter who has been warned about her dog and told to keep it on a chain decided she didn't need to do that. She took our beloved Cockatoo from his aviary and let him wander around after she had been told not to. You can guess. The bl**dy dog grabbed it and killed it. We are absolutely heartbroken and furious.
We didn't want that dog here but she begged us with all sorts of promises. Now our worst fears have been realized.
That dog is going. (somewhere) I wouldn't mind if she went too at the moment. In fact I would be thrilled.

Really sorry about the pet, Alien...
People (like you and I...and, probably most TBNers), get really attached to our pets.
Yes, the dog must go, but the dog wasn't at fault...
