I wouldn't think so (plastic tank comment).
As far as maintenance, oil and air filters, valve adjustment at a certain interval...typical for an air cooled engine. Hydraulic filter for the transmissions...
Also, at 300 hours, changing the mower deck gearbox oil, oiling the cables, checking and adjusting the brakes and fan belt, testing the safety systems, and the repeat of the 50 hr lube...so many zerks, I need to keep count next time.

I was just wondering if you had been out yet. My wife and I have been invited over to friends who live on the river to kayak today.
Went to Highland yesterday evening to buy the Silver Lake boat permits for our kayaks. $20/each for a year, and we'll probably go paddle there half a dozen times this summer. Well worth it for a place close to home. Got to see the new municipal building they recently opened. Pretty nice place. Much bigger than the old police station. They have an old horse-drawn fire apparatus on display in the lobby, very nicely restored.

52 and sweet outside, going to 80. The weatherman is threatening us with 94 later this week.

My wife and I went to the mountains for a nice hike yesterday...beautiful weather. Got to meet a Rhodesian Ridgeback on the trail for the first time...this is the dog that the Orvis online quiz matched to my lifestyle...but I'm still a Chesapeake Bay Retriever man.

RS, I think you could sell tickets to visit your gardens.

Good morning, low temp is 36 and the high to 64°F. Wind ESE 3 mph. Sunny.

I will cut the grass later after the fog burns off a bit.It isn't a heavy fog, just enough to let you know that the air is warmer than the ground.

I saw this dime sized black thing on the floor last evening that had 8 legs. Now it is quarter sized and a lot flatter. I didn't see an hour glass symbol on it so squish it went.Even if it had the symbol on it, it still would have gone squish. I hate spiders.

A short blast from my past for you. My grandparents lived in Florida from 1953 till 1960. My grandmother gets up to put the coffee on one Sunday morning and in the living room there was a scorpion on the floor. She gets the Miami Herald and puts it on the scorpion and then steps on the paper.

Have a safe day all

Good Morning.
It’s 55 and should make it to 70 under clear skies.

Yesterday travels were uneventful as they should be. Off to Akron for the day today, then I get to do some stuff done around here for a while. I’m sure glad I got all that mowing done on Sunday.

lettuce is cut and baggied, car is packed, little more to go, birds are fed, but an hour early for leaving so nice to just
sit and relax before I get on PA turnpike. Made sure Volvo was current in EZPass since I'm going through DE.
I remembered to take and pack my pills. And when I turn off this pc will turn off the ups also.
a long checklist and no one to roll their eyes at me and ask about the hat on the shelf...

next stop the President's state.

Morning all, Sun is out going up to 73.
Might not have any rain until...tonight. The grass is seeding again from last Thursdays cut.
Did not get to finish pool cleaning, so it's still a mess.

heavy winds last night, heard some tree fall, maybe just large branches. If it ever dries out I need to go do inventory of trees in the forest to see which Ash hasn't fallen yet.

LS - these fires are so tragic and we keep getting rain here while so many states are dry.
Drew - have a safe and fun trip

Be safe and stay well,

Good Morning!!!! 67F @ 5:00AM. Partly cloudy. High 98F. SSW winds shifting to NW at 10 to 20 mph
The 10-day is full of 90s temps, looks like Spring got up and left.
First Fire Weather Watch starts tomorrow morning, lasting through Friday night. Low humidity and the usual dry north winds are a bad combination.

Safe travels, Drew. Hope the traffic is manageable. You too, Paul.

Was on the tractor before 8AM yesterday and by noon had finished with the first mowing. All the pre-emergent I sprayed last year, and all the dirt we moved this year, cut down the area for mowing by maybe half. I'll enjoy it while it lasts, because when the weeds and grasses start growing in the newly cleared areas, I'll have more to cut than ever.

Did a fair amount of rock picking in the tall grass, too, but not all of them were found before the mower got to them. Which is why I used the old Bushog rotary cutter. It left the grass looking pretty rough, and there are scalped patches where the dozer left high spots, but better to re-contour them with the heavy Bushog blades than the delicate flail hammers.

Realized yesterday I can just use the two socket head cap screws on the HomeKit moisture sensor to wire it to the leads from the float sensor in the top water tank. That'll send the proper signal when the deep well pump turns on, and I can mount it in the pump house instead of up on the tank itself. Now just need to figure out why the pump controller won't turn back on after the pump over speeds the first time. It's always sumthin' ain't it?

First, though, I wanna get the drone up before it gets too windy and get some high altitude shots of the clearing work and driveway cut.

Sheesh, hump day already...

50° early, 67 now and 77 later. Calling for 95 on Saturday! Not ready for that yet.
I’m going to mow today after I go get fuel.

Tomorrow is cataract repair on my other eye. I can’t wait after the improvement in my left eye.

This is Ringo and Buddy.

That’s wasn’t too bad, he will finish next week. Cleaned it out and treated it for now, I guess next week is fill and seal? Guess he temp sealed the hole. Jaw is sore.
Beautiful day out. Sitting at back picnic table enjoying the birds singing, and snagglepuss was giving me a back massage with claws, still felt good. She is shedding all over me.

Guess I better read my manual.

62°F and a thunderstorm this morning, going up to 84° today. Rain didn't last long, but it sure messed up the morning traffic. More coming early this evening.

Got the trash gathered and walked the can down to the road yesterday evening. Wife got home earlier than normal, so we started getting out the umbrellas. The stand for the one behind the driveway bench was wobbly and needed some repairs. Neither of us were terribly hungry, so we just ate some ramen noodles. I think we were both in bed by 9pm.

Wngsprd, I thought about going out solo on Sunday morning while The Wife was traveling back home, but stayed home and did laundry instead. By the time that was finished late morning, the weather forecast was too sketchy to bother. She and I talked about it last night, and we're going to try to get out this weekend, weather permitting. We want to get a jump on the boaters who'll surely be out in droves next weekend. Probably just stay local at Silver Lake. Hope you have fun if you paddle today.

All this mower talk reminds me that I need to sharpen a bunch of blades this weekend.

69°F and .04 inches rain. Looking to be a pretty morning.

Try for a bit of flail time before heading to PO and then adjust accordingly. Will be less than happy if I need to pay for a second prescription not to mention the 2 gallons gas to get.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

. . . not to mention the 2 gallons gas to get.
I also think of the cost of the item and also the cost of the fuel to get it.

Good afternoon! 90˚F looks like the high nineties all week. I skipped a Cedercide session in the park today to attend out WFPB meeting. Todays lecture, by a DR., was about supplements.

Highlights: B12 is now not only recommended for plant based diets but anyone over 50. Calcium not recommended. D only if you are under by blood test. Supplement are found in better form in the WFPB diet. Suplements quality is usually lacking and studies on manufacture websites cannot be found and if found many decades/centuries old. Fish oil is no longer recommended.

Mom's cat is doing good today after wearing off the effects of the anesthesia for the removal of a growth on his leg. He got a good shearing while he was under also which removed his winter coat of fur so now he is a cool cat. Ugly but cool. If there was an award for ugly he would get it.

I kept waiting for my eye drops to come for the second procedure, I called the doctor and found out both bottles were sent together and they have them. I thought I was going to be on the hook for another $95 for a tiny bottle that insurance doesn’t cover because it’s custom formulated.

Wow, and I was irked I might have to pay $45 for a local pickup.

Fortunately, my meds did arrive and I’m on schedule, only lost yesterday’s presurgery diclofenac.

My flailing may have come to an unplanned stop. Think I broke last shear bolt and not making special trip to town just for that. Guess I’ll poke around in hopes of finding something suitable after lunch.
