it's too bad dieselgate hurt the future of diesel cars so much.
Folks have been burning all kinds of fuel in diesels and now Audi is saying let's burn used vegetable oil.
30% higher cetane. Better cold starting.

When you think of all the fast food restaurants with deep fryers, there must be a huge amount of waste oil available.
Besides, exhaust often smells like popcorn, though too much of that might be a bit much in a big traffic jam.
Pass the butter, pass the salt...

I knew a guy 20 yrs ago running on old restaurant grease. There’s a whole process though to clean it up.

Back when the gator muzzles were required, we had 1 family that didn’t want to. They ended up leaving our church. They weren’t very regular in attending anyways. Nothing we did except say to everyone these are the state directives. We weren’t going to police it.
But we follow the local rules, which now say they aren’t required.

As a Buddhist, Drew, I've lost count of the number of people who can't stop themselves from expressing to me the incredible depths of their enlightenment. It's been my experience over the years that those who can't seem to contain their superior understanding are always the ones who are furthest from the truth. They are often also the ones least receptive to guidance back to the true path. Best of luck with your dissenter.

As one raised Baptist who now belongs to a Methodist church and have attended Several Catholic services with my son’s family as well as Christian, Holiness, etc…
I also know many Jews, Mennonites, Mormons and Hindu. One truth I’ve found that applies to all;

The Protestants don’t recognize the pope; the Muslims don’t recognize the Jews; the Jews don’t recognize Christ; and the Baptists don’t recognize each other at Hooters.

But, but they are only there for the wings!!!!!!!

I will say the food is decent and the scenery seems to have shifted to fall not spring and summer

But for the mere sum of $100 they will forgive my egregious transgression. I wonder if this is about revenue or safety……..

It’s for the kids.

Sadly I learned Sunday night that someone with the local youth football league pocketed a bunch of money, spent on a new personal car.

But was pleasantly surprised the state sent a check and refunded my late emissions fee. Maybe I should “invest” that in a lottery ticket.

64°F and no rain

More roof time, actually on the roof installing the metal if not too windy. Not a fan of trying to jockey sheets of sharp metal in gusty or strong wind.

This afternoon is appointment for prepping surgery clearance for my cataract surgery. Of course that will be followed by trip to DQ in Waimea.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

42 going to 46, nice warm period coming up.

Comcast changed my service from 200 mbps, to 800 mbps. I didn’t see any real difference at first. About 160-180 down and 5-7 Up.
Investigating I found out my modem was only good to 200. I bought a new modem/router combo with a max of 800 mbps. Now I get from 450 to 550 down and 16-17 up. Big improvement.

I could only dream of that speed...
Are you going to get the boyfriend to help you?
That was always a good way to scope out potential suitors for my daughter.
No. He helps IMHO.

My daughter is on the school's tennis team, and she's playing about 30 minute drive from where I work, but I'm too busy to go watch her play sadly.

I've been reading all these posts and finally got caught up.
Red light cameras and speed trap cameras are mostly for revenue, especially considering that the company makes 50% of the revenue. Although there are some intersections that have notorious red light runners that make me mad. You might try to tell them that the conditions were slippery and that a sudden stop might have caused an accident. I have found that my Waze app will spot these out in advance for me usually.

Billy, I'm glad you still have your toes. Let us know how the coffee turns out. I'm a decaf guy these days.

Don it sounds like you had a good trip.

A lot going on today.
Our primary voting ends today.
It is fat Tuesday Mardi gras day.
There is some sort of speech on tonight.
And it is Taco Tuesday at the local taco joint.

I flipped hamburgers at dairy Queen for 2 and 1/2 years in high school.

Bird, good stories about early days of Plano Texas. You wouldn't recognize it now haha.

PJS, Like George Carlin said, everybody is a but, and it is directly proportionate as to how close they are standing to you at a given moment in time. Lol

David, that place is looking really nice.

Prayers for Ukraine, our country, our team, and those in silent need.

purchase bag potatoes

I did too Thomas a few weeks ago and forgot about them in fridge.
Well....now I have plenty of taters to plant, full of eyes.

had a nice lunch at Harts Tavern in Peddlers Village, though food was pretty boring bar fare.
But presented nicely. I had roast beef on a kaiser roll and it was pretty overcooked.
Nice waitress and a screaming child was promptly hushed before my ears went nuts.
Waitress remembered to bring second cup of coffee, decaf this time. Great service, left her a nice tip.

then stopped at church to see my friend finishing up with the sixth microphone. Now we hopefully can hear the little kids when
they say their names at the rise of service. We all go around and introduce ourselves. We have one regular service dog, a little one in training, and he just thumps
his tail. Poor dog might not get chosen, he's a little lively but the owner said they would adopt it if not. Nice.
Amazingly I haven't heard of a doggie accident in church in all these years. No piddling on the 300 year old wide pine boards.
I love to see the dogs come in once in a while. They usually are very well behaved and sit quietly.

need to load some more books on my Kindle.
Just finished Carnegie's Maid, fascinating tale of early Pittsburgh, the Irish immigrants, and high society
and Keeper of Happy Endings, a fairly involved story about a dress witch who charms wedding dresses so the newlyweds live happily ever after.

Done that more than once.

another fun Russian megayacht story
While Putin may have been able to pull his megayacht out of Germany in time, the largest
private boat in the world Dilbar is now stuck in drydock at Lurrsen in Germany, and the EU has now frozen the
assets of the Russian owner. Crew of 80 might not get paid this month. $600M ship looks like small cruise liner.
Russia is really getting the economic squeeze put on it.
And that big fatcat with the world's largest yacht is not a happy guy.
Karma baby.

Kyle, I hope you can make it to her match soon. She'll love it.

Yep, Mardi Gras...wife making Jambalaya and I'm wearing several strings of beads right now.

I'm guessing you don't eat there anymore? ;)

Ken, I wear chaps, too. Things can go bad with a chainsaw so fast.

L4N, I was lucky...just a quarter inch rearward and the steel ended...I can put my finger completely through them, angled backward.

RNG, I'll patch the boot, but they are 10 years old, so will get a new pair.

I have found that to be the case with most political “discussions” as well. A very good example of the Dunning-Kruger effect in either case.
