very nice visit to the Morikami Japanese gardens in DelRay beach.
big place, did a lot of walking but about 64 out and lovely Going down to 44 here tonight.
amazing bonsai exhibit there, this buttonwood is 500 years old.

Toowoomba has a very nice Japanese Garden as well. Haven't been there for a while as I find it hard to walk any distance.

Found openings for booster, so made appt, wife and son also made appt, and we all got it at same place and time. I got full dose since having GBS.

Lots of empty shelves in the 2 stores we were in this morning. Fortunately Rural King had on box of cat food and some stray cans. So the cats won’t show us the door. Grocery store had 0 cans of cat food.

The two grocery stores I went to also had empty shelves where the cat food should be. There was dog food but stock was getting low also.

Unplanned interruption. Makani somehow managed to gash his upper right leg

So a trip to town, to the Vet. Had to leave him and then pick him up a few hours later. 3 staples and 3 prescriptions.

Drinking first cup of hot coffee. 5° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 17° with mostly cloudy skies. Got snow plow on tractor. Plowed about 6" of snow. Sure is nice to see clean white snow. Got my recumbent exercise bike out of front porch and into dining room. Rode it for 20 minutes and 8 miles. Need to get up to 10 miles. May take a few days to get to that. Laundry is on the list today. May get a few negatives scanned between loads. Also have a timer switch to install for yard light. I keep forgetting to turn it off after letting Sassy out.
Got a call from youngest Son yesterday. He tested positive for Covid. Symptoms at this time are like having the Flu.

Our local weatherman is gonna bring us a little snow Friday night, but says Toppop better be prepared for a wallop.

Took my wife to to her semi-annual dentist checkup yesterday...Dentist said they are having a hard time finding hygienists...industry wide problem...many left due to Covid...staying home to school their kids, and other reasons...the really good one she had moved to Florida...plus, they closed the hygienist schools for a while during Covid, so smaller pipeline of new ones.

Picked up a spark plug for the splitter while we were out, and ate at our favorite Chinese restaurant...then split the rest of the firewood I had cut...overall a simple, but nice day.
