5 couples got together tonight for dinner, at the restaurant up in PA we’ve gone to a couple times before. Had a good time, although my prime rib was over done.

I’ve been parking my car in garage for last couple of years now. Still need to remove handicap ramp on other side. But only got Subaru and the BAT mobile. (Big A$$ Truck) as son has Honda at college.

Most people at the garage sale put their stuff out then cover it up so there was no preview. You cannot enter the area unless you have a pass and to get a pass you have to rent a space. Clear skies no rain predicted.

Kyle parking is a challenge. There is a parking lot across the street and on side of the garage sale but those fill up fast. You can park on the surrounding streets also.

Nope, not at all, but you can bet I had for medicinal reasons after.

Thanks for the thought. My wife is struggling but coping, as am I. We both have appts at the Dr next week. Hope he can help.
I surprised myself with what I managed to do today. Mind you some nice new tools give you some incentive. I fitted about 20 purlins in the eves. Still got a heap to do. Love my new 18 volt Ryobi compound sliding drop saw. Pleasure to use it. Complimented with my new brushless 18 v Ryobi drill. Real nice gear. Up and down the ladder was a bit iffy as I have gout in my big toe at present. Makes walking a bit slow.
The pressure switch on my compressor blew a diaphragm so I found one on ebay for $15. Should be here in a couple of weeks. Managed to get the tractor tyres blown up but it took a lot longer.
Lesley has been spending time in the gardens the last few days. It exhausts her but she loves out there. She has plans for more rockery gardens. Guess who has to find the rocks.
I ordered a truckload of garden loam for her and she is very pleased with it. It makes her gardening a lot easier. I just dump a bucketload wherever she wants it.
Bought a new larger spray system for the tractor so I can control the lantana on the property. Also controls the watttle that pops up everywhere. Till next time...

When I was a seller three years ago that did not happen that I saw. Of the 4 hours only to set up, one is kept pretty busy arranging and pricing stuff, getting your space ready and then covering it from rain/dew, and you would be stopped by the garage sale police if seen taking stuff OUT of the area. The integrity of being the first to the stuff at 8 AM must be maintained - it is one of the factors that make the garage sale a success.

Good morning! 66˚F heading to 80 by the end of the garage sale and 90 by the end of the day. No rain, perfect day for the parking lot garage sale. My mom has an order in for a standard walker -if it's reasonable. If I can't find one she will have to settle for a new one and just be disappointed she was not able to acquire a "bargain".

Buppies, don't leave any food/snacks in your truck. We are still having Old Gray Tail the skunk hanging around, but no bears.

Spent some time up on the ladder fastening the satellite cable up under the soffit...the roofers left it drooping down around the house, as it wasn't secured well to start with by the satellite installer years ago. It wraps around two corners of the house to run from the dish to the point of access under the house. I don't mind going up my 20 ft fiberglass extension ladder, but moving it around the house and repositioning each few feet it is a job. Glad I finally got it done right.

Did my final backpack spray of the year. Some of the weeds/vines were already too far into autumn to bother with while others were still green and growing.

Mostly, I didn't weigh the nails, but here's a photo. The roof looks great, but sloppy in not consistently using tarps. BEF, don't think I'll keep them, although I've also straightened many nails and reused them over the years

Drinking first cup of coffee. 54° with fog this morning. Heading to 73° with slight chance of rain. PT went good. Found all the items I wanted on grocery list at Walmart. Neighbor came over and helped me remove ceiling in Pole Barn that was falling down. Other than 8 bags of material to put out for garbage next week that project is done. Next on list is removing 1,500' of old field fence. May get started on that today.
Not a lot of color in trees around house this year yet. Did a walk out back of barn and found this shrub.

I'm headed over to NJ to get gasoline for both the truck and mower.
Think I might pull the driver mirror back on this truck going over narrow New Hope Lambertville bridge.
No power retract, I'm spoiled...

Then off to church with a 10 inch Irwin dovetail hand saw to cut off the excess material on one of the plastic boards we
installed on that post, and clearly did not measure well. I was not the measurer...
then I can sand it and it should look nice.
This time I remembered to pack a hammer and a nail set.
Shredded sander pad last time and wondered why, until I felt the board closely and realized the pin nails weren't fully set.
So no wonder the sand paper bit the dust.

50° right now...high about 60 and looks like it'll be overcast all day...

Big dump run today, trash, cans and a lot of cardboard. I hope I can do it all in one run. Then a trip to Randolph to pick up meds.
I started mowing late yesterday, mostly to mulch the leaves. If it's dry enough, I'll continue that today and while out, rig the snowblower to the Deere.

I have a new Sony Blu Ray player to hook up too. I have a very serviceable Samsung, but it's not playing some Blu Rays. I had my stepdaughter try the suspect Blu Ray disks on her PlayStation and they worked fine. Some internet research provided some info with Samsung players not recognizing disks. I assume this model player need a firmware update, but none available newer then 2019 (which was already updated).

So, that's my day/weekend...reckon I'd better get started...

Good morning, low temp is 58 and the high will be 62°F. Wind E 9 mph. 60% chance of T-storms.

I got the replacement for the power washer that wouldn't work in Spring, yesterday. If this one doesn't work then I will be looking for my $900.oo + 13% tax back. If it rains, then I will unbox it and put it all together today.

If no rain, then the firewood will be going into the basement today or maybe tomorrow.

Good Morning.
It’s 60 and won’t see 70 with rain later in the day.

Yesterday went by pretty quickly. Quick trip to Mass, took longer than expected, just as we were arriving, a Hawker Jet that just departed lost radio contact and began flying around randomly. So they essentially closed the airport and sent us out of the area to hold until it was resolved. After about 20 minutes the Hawker’s radios magically started working, and the came back and landed. They were escorted by vehicles with flashing lights and were given a phone number to call. Neither is a good sign. So we got to land and drop off our passengers. Traffic was backed up after the closure, when we were ready to depart, we were number 20 in line.
At any rate, I did get home in time to mow, but was putting the tractor away as the dew was falling and the sun was setting. Grandson was delivered to tractor by his father in a. Toro Workman, so all was well.

Today is off to Hilton Head, maybe get some shop time later in the afternoon.
