Had date night tonight. On the way home….another storm rolled thru. Saw a funnel cloud above the ridge on the way home. Did not appear to touch down.

I didn't see that you had posted before I did.

Glad to hear no touch down.

Tomorrow morning wife and I are going out to breakfast for our 47th anniversary. We joked that going out to dinner would keep us up past our bedtime. So someone else will have to save the day tomorrow.
Happy Belated Anniversary Popgadget and wifey. Hope you got to stay up past your bedtime. :)

good morning all
overnight showers stopping, not much accumulation, hot and sticky today and for next couple of days.

Paul congrats on a long marriage and hope you have a fun breakfast this morning.

I'm off to look at an rv this morning at 8am, told lady I was just looking and would bring her some tomatoes.
It's a traditional older style diesel pusher but perhaps they built them better 15 years ago. I certainly can't afford anything
this size new, but a Cummins/Allison powertrain with 75k miles is pretty low miles. It's all the other stuff in an rv that breaks...
Seller told me they replaced all ten suspension air bags last year. Now that's the kind of work you want done before the sale.

still pondering, a future on the road, or on the tractor. I'm leaning towards the tractor but really want to see what a good deal rv option is.
I've had a travel trailer, a class A gasser and a class B diesel motorhome, and all of them have their advantages.
Let's see, nice new tractor where everything works? Or an older rv where everything will break at some point?
But...I can't see Mt Rushmore in a Kubota... ;)
Drew, my buddy is a Mcguyver type who can fix anything....he has an older diesel pusher (that used to be his dad's) and he's always having to fix something on it.

Got sick on job yesterday dehydrated not fun

Prayers for all
Heat exhaustion is a killer. Be careful. Prayers, also for Randy and the rest of our crew.

Plenty to catch up on here.

Fresh pineapples! yummy. I'll bet their delicious.

Been busy at work still. Need to pick up shop too.

Flat track races this weekend.

Welcome BlackTruck.

Drew, only people who've sold the farm, go into a dealership and ask for less horsepower. :)

Eric, thankful you had the winders shut too.

Still haven't got the HPX Gator going yet.....been tired when I get home.

Kids start school here next week. Watch out for school zones.

Exciting game, but wrong team won.

Heard thunder, got lightning alert, but it won’t get us, just small cell up north.

That corn is so good, had 3 more for supper. Love this time of year with fresh produce, most from our garden. And it’s peach season.

Still 82° at 1130 pm, upstairs ac is not keeping up. After tomorrow it cools off some.

We pay around $1 an ear for corn. Usually a tray of 4 is from $4 - $6 for good stuff. I love it myself.

73° right now...high in the low 90's today...

Pretty good day yesterday, but back to work today (my "real" job)

Depending on the temperature, might finish the lawn when I get home....it's hot, but not real humid. I can tolerate the heat, but not a humid heat....that really wilts me

Wrong team won here too, Dennis. Gals won at H&F. As the standings are 11-8 in favor of the guys. Maybe today’s loss was a strategic win.

Had an eye test today. No deterioration since about 20 years ago. Still the same readers so I ordered some new ones. Slight cataract but of no concern. May have to look at that in 5 years or so he said. Good result. Wife had a trip to the Dr this morning and he came out to have a look at the car and discuss drones. Nice fella. Hard to find a sociable Dr nowadays. Been with him now for about about 14 years or so.
Bought a new car cover for the Mustang. When I opened it there were big grease marks on it. The stiching went through the marks and was clean so the marks had to be on the material before it was stitched up. They have ordered a replacement for me.
Tomorrow (Sat) is club day for me so looking forward to that after missing some days

Coffee is done brewing. 69° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 82° with partly cloudy skies. Helped neighbors that needed repairs from Wednesday's storms. One was a TT that tree fell on. Just a temporary until they can get it in for a proper fix. Total rain from Tuesday and Wednesday storms was 2.24". Dr Appointment this morning. Then mow grass.

covid positivity rate in Bucks County has gone from 2.6 to 3.6 in a week.
which prompted this:

Masks are now recommended for vaccinated individuals in public indoor spaces to reduce the spread of the Delta variant.

rswyan said, "This post of yours spawned a good bit of conversation here this morning ... as neither one of us had heard of those type of beans ... or at least heard them referred to by that name.

But looking them up it seems like I might have seen them before. Or I could be just confusing them with pintos, which look kind of similar.

At any rate, The Woman likes pintos and I do as well, so we'll keep an eye out for the Cranberry beans at the store and give them a try."

Shortly after I married my wife from West Virginia, about 56 years ago, she mentioned that she liked "October beans" better than pintos. Now I'd never heard of "October beans" and had no idea where to get such. Anyway, some years later I learned that was another name for "Cranberry beans" that I'd also never heard of. But in later years, I found that Kroger grocery stores stocked "Cranberry beans" so that's all we've bought for many years. And in more recent times, Walmart stores have also started stocking them. They cost just a little more than pinto beans, but are still quite cheap. How or why the "Cranberry" name, I'll never know; no relation to what we know as cranberries at all; just very slightly sweeter than pinto beans. I suspect that many people would never know the difference.

Anybody else see little faces in the flower buds I posted.
maybe in a Disney movie... ;)
They would probably be singing too...
very pretty and unusual flowers (y)
you must have a lot of fun wandering around with your camera thinking what would be
good to shoot today. A great hobby.

Another dry 79 to 98 degree day, but some slight hopes for rain each day the next few days.

speaking of flowers, as I look out my office window my little veggie garden is only about thirty feet out and the two
hummingbird feeders are there. I have one or two very loyal feeders. Jealous of RNG's swarms and I hear Billy buying huge bags of sugar...
need to up my game. Two feeders, identical red plastic, about 8 holes on each.
Hummingbird comes back to same feeder, same hole, every time.
No wondering if the blue plate special on the other feeder was better.
Definitely a bird of habit

I still wonder if all this white sugar is giving them avian diabetes and is there anything more healthy than plain white sugar they
would also like the taste of?
Now there's a bird that needs to learn how to slow down and drift a bit...
Feisty and territorial, like little fighter jets out there zooming around
VTOLs actually.
