Congrats!!!!
My wife is a Christmas Day baby.
This makes all three grandkids born in December. One on the 1st, one on the 16th, and now one either the 23rd or 24th.

Just talked to my son in law. Doctor figures sometime tomorrow.

Had a friend who was born on Xmas. He saud that it actually stunk. He got his Christmas gifts in the AM, then birthday party in the PM. And was rough as a kid since all his friends had family obligations usually.

Saw what was left of the convergence tonight.
Got my tire fixed, much simpler than I thought, very slow leak and when it got flat it pushed away from the rim a tiny bit. The service guy hit it with a 160lb shot and it popped right on, repaired the hole and I was off. Never even took it off the truck. I would have noticed it when I was driving regularly, but it was sitting for a week. I drove it TS to pick up cat and dog foods and litter. Traffic was awful.
Cheated on dinner, frozen chicken nuggets and fries in the oven, turns out they sent us dinosaur shaped nuggets so I had to play with my food. That T Rex was delicious.

I love my iPhone, it’s an older 7+ but I haven’t seen a need to upgrade, battery is still above 90% and it has way more capability than I do.
I like the newer cameras but not enough to spend the money.
Drew, the right lady is out there, you just have to let her find you.
It’s been a windy raw day today, temp wasn’t bad but the wind chill was.

Got my bloodwork done and estimated a job for after Christmas, I’ll need the money after Christmas shopping got done.

My late brother’s was the 21st and it was similar for him, too close to Christmas to get big stuff for his birthday.

It's pretty rough here. We had 10, now 11 birthdays between the end of October thru December. Throw in Thanksgiving, birthday parties for the grandkids and Christmas

The bank account starts crying uncle

Mostly we are back on the second tier or 1B. And can possibly get the vaccine within a few weeks. The info I found before (over 75) was the national CDC recommendations which Texas is not following.

Here is the official Texas order of vaccinations.

https://www.dshs.texas.gov/coronavirus/immunize/vaccine/EVAP-Phase1B.pdf
"Texas Phase 1B Vaccine Priorities
• People 65 years of age and older
• People 16 years of age and older with at least one chronic medical condition that puts
them at increased risk for severe illness from the virus that causes COVID-19, such as but not limited to:
• Cancer
• Chronic kidney disease
• COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease)
• Heart conditions, such as heart failure, coronary artery disease or cardiomyopathies
• Solid organ transplantation
• Obesity and severe obesity (body mass index of 30 kg/m2 or higher)
• Pregnancy
• Sickle cell disease
• Type 2 diabetes mellitus"

Daughter is scheduled to get the vaccine since she's an RN working the neonatal intensive care unit for one of the hospitals. But her baby doctor said that they are recommending to their patients to hold off till the baby is born and your done nursing.

Their reasoning was, even though the drug companies are saying it's safe for pregnant women to take the vaccination, there isn't any long term data out there on the subject. Her doctor doesn't want his patients to be the guinea pigs with a chance for negative effects on the child.

Yes I wa surprised to see "pregnancy" on the list of chronic medical conditions.
I was also surprised to see obesity BMI 30, that would include people this weight and height or heavier:
5'6" - 185lbs
5'7" - 190lbs
5'8 " - 195lbs
5'9" - 200lbs
5'10" - 210lbs
5'11" - 215lbs
6' - 220lbs.

Ted, nice table saw. What’s your approach for the top?

Well, the approach was to hit it hard with every tool that I have that would possibly take off that rust..... and that is pretty much what happened today.

First I tried my regular random orbit sander with 150 grit.... worked for about a 4" square... barely.
Then stepped up to the heavy duty 6" orbital sander with 80 grit.... did maybe a 6" square before it clogged up...
So, out came the angle grinder with a 6" wire brush cup..... oh, baby.... I had orange dust on everything, but it took off most of it...
then reversed order of the tools, finally giving the surface a nice polish with 220 grit, wet sanding with compound.

All said and done, spent 6 hours on it, just sanding/ polishing. I had sprayed the underside with the rust restorer yesterday afternoon, so that part was done already. I went out after dinner and assembled all the slide rails and fence. Too late and too tired to get pics.... will do that tomorrow morning...

My shoulder, arm, and hand still feel weird from muscling those tools all day.....

24 right now...high in the low 30's.

Last day of work until 02 January! I'm looking forward to the time off. Yesterday, work was really busy. Doubt much goes on today though. Our plant manager's last day....officially, he's retiring at the end of 2020, but with the shutdown, this will be the last day I see him. Good guy, definitely an "old school" manager who came up through the ranks (started of as a polisher 30some years ago). A bit rough around the edges (so am I, BTW) but a good guy to work with. Got him a bottle of Wild Turkey for a Christmas/Retirement gift.

Morning all! 25 out going to 32.
Kinda cold in the house as someone forgot to fill the pellet stove yesterday.
We had two days of cloudy weather so no Christmas star here.
Been keeping busy making more ornaments as gifts. Had a few jobs to do for relatives. Got a few hours of plowing in.Cleaned the pellet stove and chimney.
Thomas: A 7 foot Fisher plow works great on a 2650. Here is an older pic of mine.

good morning all. 28 going up to mid 40's today in sun and clouds.
one more birdfeeder to build today, then calling it quits for Christmas.

Special Christmas wishes for Jay and Peg, hope they are doing ok.

somehow yesterday I got a stye in my left eye and after looking online, made some tea with black tea and then
held the teabag in that area for awhile. Seemed to help, whatever the chemicals are in tea reduces swelling.
Annoying for sure but it will go away they say in a few days
