All this food talk just getting me ready to loosen my belt notch before the holiday's cooking. :licking:
I got a spiral cut honey ham to do up for Christmas. Will make up a Maple and brown sugar glaze for it. Also plan on making some candied carrots, stuffing, green beans, mashed taters, Dutch apple pie, chocolate pie, and some other goodies

I’ve decided not to bbq my pork chops today, instead I’m going to do a dusting of House Autry, Old Bay, onion and garlic and bake them, just for a change.

The dusting of snow we got overnight turned out to be 12". Took me 4 hours to do two driveways. But I did stop and chew the fat with one neighbour.
When the tractor lugs down she sure has a bark. Straight pipes will do that.

my pants are getting tighter just pondering these ribs and and and
worst part is they really are getting tighter, I need to get more exercise, walk more.
I sure have the cooking and eating part down fine...

Had a hard time squeezing the Titebond III glue bottle today, aggravated my carpal tunnel.
Need a different dispenser that doesn't require squeezing.
Perhaps a cordless power caulking device that could squeeze out glue instead.
Or construction adhesive.
Wrists really hurt from doing this plus I did 2 in a row. Fair amount of glue to squeeze and the bottle is down
to one third.
My cordless Dewalt grease gun was one of my favorite tools on the farm.
Now I just need something similar for glue, which clearly has issues with gumming up the works or hardening.
I would just use a portion of a tube of adhesive and question whether the remaining part will last a week.
And then what, something high tech like a 10D nail to plug the hole?
I waste a lot of glue and money not being able to use all the glue I paid for...

Home Depot order picked up, tile saw registration submitted to RIGID ...

Unfortunately no joy on the electrical issues.

Determined that the interruption on the power is happening on (at least) two different circuits in the original 100A panel that was put in when the house was built.

That panel is now a sub-panel to a larger 200A panel which is adjacent to it.

Have to think about it some more and see if I can come up with anything.

Might have to call an electrician out.

Drew - I always make sure to squeeze all the excess air out of my Titebond bottle here ... before I push the nozzle down to seal it.

That way it won't start to dry and thicken up when it is still in the bottle.

Drew, I’m a big fan of Loctite PL premium urethane construction adhesive. I dispense it with a Makita cordless caulk gun and use these-

to save the tube for the next use. I’m pretty sure that I showed it to you when you were here.
It’s a real hand saver.

sounds good, thanks. Instead of 200+ for Makita gun, think I'm going to use my air compressor and save a lot of money.
Easy to swap the air nailer in and out.

also need to get some more work gloves.

Keep in mind that the Makita reverses the plunger when you let up on the trigger. This greatly reduces the “ooze” that you will get with the air tool. And yes, nitrile or vinyl disposable gloves are a must.

Yumm!!

We like to get BBQ in Bald Knob.
Whole hog in conway is our favorite. I usually do a take out order of a couple racks of ribs, with tater salad and baked beans.

Bald Knob is a little far for us to go for dinner.

It’s really far for me.

There’s also a place in Winne we like to stop at for pulled pork.

You go right by the one in conway when you go see your kid at college

Conway is the other direction, we come across 64 from Memphis to Bald Knob. I’ve only been thru Conway a couple times. My son took his car there once for maintenance. I got good friends that live in Searcy, one a little north, one west, one in town.
Searcy lacks good restaurants, so if I’m there again I might make a run to Conway for some good Ribs. The Rib Crib in Searcy is not good ribs.
My son will be doing remote study again in the spring, and next fall will be his last semester, so not sure how many more trips I’ll be making, if any. Maybe 1 more this time next year for his graduation. We do have a brand new washing machine stored in our friends barn, that my oldest son used one semester.
I’ve made 24 trips there so far since 2013.
The former Provost asked me once about teaching there, which would be a fun “retirement” job.
